The Helo actor is definitely one of the better ones. Of course I don't have a crush on him like Hepcat. I would definitely prefer more stuff involving him, Gaida (sp?) and Athena. Apollo and Starbuck kinda annoy me. Okay, Starbuck really annoys me.

Recently I've lost the desire to rewatch movies enough to justify purchasing them. Even though Raiders is one of my all-time favorites, I doubt I'd ever put in the DVD because I've seen the movie about 100 times.

I never was into comic books, but what made Gambit so good? Why is he more powerful than a guy with a pistol? I'm sure there are years of comics I could read to explain his appeal, but I'm too cheap and lazy to do that.

Still, the movie looks to be original, and I firmly believe originality needs to be rewarded in Hollywood.
Original? Original????? Are you really saying that Hollywood needs to be rewarded for making another movie about a TV show?

I know people have different ways of dealing with grief, but seeing those dead pets gives me the creeps. I can only imagine that being my dog. Damn, that's creepy.

Why not give to Carson Daly? He's been doing very decent for himself in his very late show there. He's actually funnier and personable than most people give him credit for.
True, I haven't given him much of a chance. I think he came off as "Look at how hip and trendy I am" when I first saw him. It was enough to keep me from watching, but that was years ago and I know nothing of him. He might be an alright guy whereas Fallon is a proven jackass who is about as funny as Full House.

I change my blades every Sunday. I could probably go longer, but at $0.16/blade it's no loss. Some blades really nick the crap out of me and I'll throw them out that day. Some blades seem to go much longer without dulling. A dull blade will tug the skin a bit. Shaving with a safety razor is very similar to a cartridge razor in prep. The only difference is the blade angle and that you DO NOT apply pressure like you do with a cartridge. I have no experience with shaving oil, but I can say that once you use a good brush and cream/soap, you'll never go back to canned stuff. A good place to buy these products is Lee's Razors. Also, a great place to buy homemade soaps and creams is Saint Charles Shave. Her shaving soaps are fantastic and pretty cheap too. RightBastard - light facial hair is a blessing, not a curse.

Still, I'd rather spend a few bucks more and get a fully-dressed chicken poboy from a real place.
And now I know you are from South Louisiana. Indeed. I was in D.C. and the burger stand had a regular burger or one with lettuce and tomato. I told the woman I wanted a fully-dressed burger and she looked at me as though I had spoken in Chinese. I had no idea that term was regional.

Other than the fast food places, any chicken sandwich sold around here is going to come with lettuce and tomato. Not sure why that's called "Southern."
edit - the Chik-fil-a sandwich is really good. It's got to be at least $3, but it's the best chicken sandwich I've had from a fast food place. Still, I'd rather spend a few bucks more and get a fully-dressed chicken poboy from a real place.

I shave against the grain with my Merkur and get a great shave every day. The trick to shaving against the grain is to soften your face as much as you can by splashing hot water on it. It helps if you do it right after the shower, but if you're not doing it after the shower then a few seconds of hot water on the face works pretty well.
As for the fancy creams and brushes, you don't have to go that route. You can still use the canned stuff if you like. Soaps or creams made for a brush are indeed better (much better in my opinion), but that's where you start getting into some serious money. The soaps and creams aren't that expensive, but a good brush can cost you $150. The benefit of that setup is that it makes shaving much more enjoyable.
The best razor blades I've found are Personna blades made in Israel. I buy them off Evay in boxes of 100. I've only had to buy one box so far and it cost me $16.

I used to be a big boxing fan, but that really took a dive during the Tyson reign. Promoters kept throwing chumps at him just to get PPV knockouts. I've also seen too much corruption in the sport to keep me as interested as I once was. There are still a lot of great fighters out there, but without HBO, Showtime, and PPV it's hard to follow your favorite fighters.

Actually I think he lost his ability to walk after a struggle where he landed on his hip. His hip never healed and some of the treatments actually caused his hips to deteriorate. I don't believe he was ever shot, but I'm reaching back a few years as he only mentioned that encounter once.
Edit - Yeah, maybe it was his back that started it. But now his hips are shot from treatment.
