Then they'd have to explain how he survived the high levels of radiation.
They did actually- it was shown to be a lead-lined refrigerator. He means after he got out of the fridge. I think we're supposed to believe the fridge flew out of the danger zone.

Here's the review I wrote up for my friends:
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - Indiana Jones and his hat are at it again as he and his lovable band try to beat the Russians to the mystery of a crystal skull found in South America. Of course when I say lovable band I mean completely annoying collection of characters who add nothing to the movie. By far the worst of the series, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull feels like a bad movie you'd see at a theme park. Each pointless chase scene seems followed by another pointless chase scene. The Russians are okay as bad guys (nothing beats Nazis), but the second-tier bad guys (crazed villagers, tomb guardians, swarming giant ants) are as aggravating as anything you'd find in a Stephen Sommers movie. Do not waste your time with this garbage. F&%k everybody who had anything to do with this crap.
As you can see, I hated it. From the stupid swordfight chase scene (swords???) to the monkeys who hate communists, this movie sucked.

Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Trip to Vancouver - Suggestions please

My girlfriend and I are seriously considering a trip to Vancouver next month and neither of us have been there. For those of you who have been to Vancouver, do you have a recommendation as to where we should stay? Should we stay all six days in Vancouver, or should we spend a day or two somewhere near Vancouver? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I like it. The checkered roof and mirrors are just obnoxious enough. I didn't think I'd like the cars when I heard they were going to be reintroduced years ago, but they really do look good.

Military computer screens that display their words one letter at a time and make a computer noise when each letter pops up on a screen.

He means why does the blood go through the exit wound and not the bullet. Yes, it's dumb and I hate it too. What I hate even more is a person getting shot with a shotgun flying backwards ten feet even though the shooter's feet stay planted.

I have a belief that every comdian has the potential to make me laugh. Just like every band has the potential to make a good song (Ex. New Kids on the Block - Please Don't Go Girl).
I liked Sandler in The Waterboy and even though it seemed like a fluke, I'm willing to give Zohan a chance.
I need you <I need you> I guess I awww awwwl-ways will Girrrrrrrrrrrrl

I'm so pissed that I won't be able to watch this. I'm moving, so I no longer have a DVR. I'll have to see if a friend can record it. Hopefully this will catch on and more channels than Spike will show MMA.

Yeah, Testament has never been my favorite metal band but they are very good and very consistent. Their music doesn't disappoints.
That's exactly how I felt about them. There were many other bands that I preferred, but I knew when I bought a Testament album that I would like it. It was good music.

Wow, now you're bringing back some memories. I was a big Testament fan back in the day, so I'll have to check this out.
I'm a disciple of the watch, baby!

The only thing that's kept me from watching this movie is Paul Verhoeven, who is a founding member of the Scat Pack (the others being Michael Bay, Joel Schumaker, and Stephen Sommers).

What is involved in a president attending a funeral? I would imagine the security checks would be pretty substantial and would take away from the service. The service would be more about "the president's coming!" rather than the soldier being buried.
I understand anger towards the president, but I'm not sure what it is you want him to do. It's not wise for a leader to talk about how horrible the situation is and openly apologize for sending soldiers into a warzone. That's a quick way to work against your goal. He feels what he's doing is right, so why would he want to hurt support for that effort? As for the golf comment, what's the big deal with it? He wasn't wearing a shirt that said "I'm not playing golf, what are you doing for our soldiers." He stopped playing golf and didn't make a big deal out if it. Why should we?

I guess I always assumed the powderhorn had a premeasured tip where you turn it upside down and pinch at a certian point so that only the amount in the tip went into the gun. I imagine it takes a lot of practice and that there were a ton of misfires back then.

I've only seen a few episodes, but there was one a few seasons ago where House had to give her a shot in her ass. She hiked up her skirt and bent over. I don't know if that was a body double in the strip scene or not, but that ass shot a few seasons ago was not and it was fantastic. That lady is freakin' hot.
