FIFA 12 for me.
There is a new online mode called "Online Seasons", which inmho is the most revolutionary new mode in any sports game. That, and Teamplay with competent players is as amazing as ever.
Fifa would have been on mine if it wasn't for the big brain farts EA had. Like letting the AI defend for the opponents online and not giving you a chance to change kit colours to avoid the exact same shirt online. Just terrible that they didn't catch that in QA

Big nay. I bet some kids love it and dancing games are kind of fun but it's not really what I want to use my time on and I don't think it works that well.

So tomorrow I will be spending the evening with:
Red Fang Dillinger Escape Plan Mastodon
Plugs are packed, and I'm stoked.
I never really heard of red fang but Dillinger is my all time favorite band and Mastodon are up there too with some of the best newer bands, would be so perfect if they could tour in Europe too together. Although I also enjoy the smaller shows that are sometimes basement sized with dillinger over here. Saw dillinger in Manchester halloween last year, flew over there from Denmark and it was so crazy and awesome. We ended up getting really drunk later and ended up at some bar that played metal all night, there was people crowdsurfing in the damn bar at times. I was dressed up as greenman for the show itself and the whole band was wearing black metal makeup and shit, was hilarious as you know how little it actually fits them and me way too drunk with Billy later, getting up 7:00 the next day to fly back to Denmark was such a pain.

Witcher 2 and deus ex HR was the biggest surprise for me. Didn't think much of the first witcher but loved the second and was sure they were going to mess up Deus Ex badly. Brink and Rage for dissapointments.
Edit : Oh and Saints Row 3 surprised me a lot too. The second was a really terrible port on pc but it both plays well and is great on pc. Best fun in a sandbox game I have had n a while.

They have expanded quite a bit now. Saw them in the news yesterday and they also showed a bit of their new game although it was still clearly in a very early stage. It looked kind of like mirrors edge in the same 2d locked camera, only more puzzly but with actual 3d figures and stuff and not just black and white silhouettes this time around. They also talked about that they were very close to the one million sales but hadn't quite reached it yet, they had a over 300% profit though from the budget to what they have earned so far and they bought a lot of the old investors out.

I am in love with the idea of browser launcher. However there also should be a in game server browser and party management, but really liking battlelog so far. Singleplayer I have played a couple of hours of and it didn't interest me too much, multiplayer however is the most fun I have had online for years.

Haven't played the demo yet but unless they somehow messed everything about anno up I am getting this, it's great that there's still at least a small audience for these kind of games, easily my favorite genre but has died down so much in recent years.

Not surprised by this, impressions by most journalists always seemed to be "yeah it's pretty cool but... meh". The quicklook on giantbomb just makes it looks so amazingly boring. Awesome looking world though, will wait for steam sale.

Well it is a beta, which means it's supposed to be a test for bugs, so isn't it kinda pointless to use an older version with bugs that may have been fixed while a newer version may reveal new bugs?
Server stress test is still very useful and so is general feedback on weapons that needs balancing out and issues with certain hardware I assume. They also already learnt how not to do server security in the pc version, some people got the server files and ran conquest and squad rush on their own private servers with infinite rockets and crazy stuff like that.

Release day will be ugly, I expect origin to refuse to work and when it works download with 20 kb/s, like half life 2 release when steam was new. But yeah give it a few days for impressions, that's never a bad thing, but you can't really blame them for showing off a buggy and old beta.

FWIW I cancelled my preorder as well. Still a very likely purchase, but I at least need to see some release day impressions given the state of the beta. Supposedly the beta is using an old beta and most of these problems are fixed, but, well, how about letting us see the latest build, guys?
It takes time to build a beta and just getting it through microsoft certification is like 2 to 3 weeks. So yes in the ideal world we would get a beta that is completely up to date, but that is simple not possible. What they however could have done was release the fantastic caspian border map instead, so much more fun.

Dissapointed with the beta news, DICE were hyping it quite a bit and it turns out just to be the same map from the alpha and still rush mode, better than nothing but I kind of expected something more. I've been thinking- I'm probably going to pass on this. why? knowing me I'll get plenty of playtime with the open beta and then not be interested in playing much once it actually releases. did the same thing with Rift, Warhammer Online, DC Universe... might as well save the money I'd spend on the 360 and PC versions for other games.
but the open beta will only have that one Metro Map,while the full game will have 9 maps...9 massive maps Not to mention a mode that is a lot more fun than rush.

After trying to watch the Giantbomb "Random PC Game" video I don't think I could ever go back to try and play Daggerfall.
The video sure was hilarious, the skeletons sounds were haunting. But yeah, no way I could go back and play that.

The two danish stores i order from online both got a normal edition and a special edition (which is a bit more expensive). Maybe it's the same price on origin, not sure about that. But yeah I am sure it will be easy enough to find them, just hate the thought of day one dlc. What is especially about it is that it's a seperate mode kind of like BC2 : Vietnam, not just some maps that can be thrown into a regular map roation.

The "Back to Karkand" pack with a few maps from Battlefield 2, remade. It's free in the collectors edition which isn't a lot more expensive but it's just a bad signal of things to come, I mean we got new maps for battlefield 2 about 5 years later, completely free. This time they even limit us with not being able to make our own, so yeah disappointing but I guess that is just how the industry works today. Still extremely excited about it though, bought a new pc for it.

Sad to see day one DLC, the commander role gone and no mod tools. The beta was pretty good though and I never even liked rush, can't wait for a proper sequel to BF2, BC2 isn't bad, but it's just no the same. I hope the singleplayer will be good but I will probably be busy with the multiplayer for the first many months. Oh yeah and origin sucks.

I really like this game, the interrogation stuff is great and so is the investigation even though the going where it vibrates gameplay is really simple. The driving however feels terrible and most of the time I just let my partner drive around, the shooting is ok but nothing more and the graphics can be really terrible at times. But even with the negatives I really like it and it gives me new hope for adventure games that isn't so focused on shooting and driving all the time even though it is a part of the game.

I live in Denmark, had premier here yesterday and I know it had a few other places in Europe too. Pretty weird and stupid that it isn't coming to the UK before September and the US in November (according to imdb). To me, its clearly the Emperors new clothes we're dealing with here, when people are intrigued with his movies.
Yeah, no. Of course it's easy just to throw around words like pretentious idocy and basically telling people that it's wrong to like this movie which you haven't even seen (or his last few as you mentioned yourself), melancholia does have a deeper meaning than just the end of the world but it isn't over done in a pretentious way at all. Actually there is nothing pretentious about it at all like there was with for example anti christ with the talking fox and women being evil thing. Don't see how depression and fear of death like in Melancholia is pretentious, he is obviously just writing about what he has gone through himself the last many years time.

It isn't really sci-fi at all, looks like a movie that could just as well been set in this year but I never think it was said. It certainly is no romance movie either even though the first hour or something like that is all about the wedding party.Drama is probably the right genre to put it in, it's about depression and handling fear. I haven't really loved any of his movies before this, thought anti christ was good but nothing more. His danish tv show Riget was however fantastic and the Stephen King version was pretty embarrassingly bad in comparison. There was nothing like this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJSULjfycXo (That baby is Udo Krier... He is also in Melancholia haha). slightly off topic: Lars Von Trier is a bit of a strange guy, last week at i think Cannes,he 'joked' that he understood Hitler and admitted to being a Nazi...that wasn't the uncomfortable thing about it though,it was seeing Kirsten Dunst as he said those things, look increasingly uncomfortable http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LayW8aq4GLwHe's just taking the piss out of everyone really. He also said he was much greater than God at around anti christs release. If he was serious about being a nazi and hating jews it would have been another matter but he is just joking and trying to create attention about his movie at the same time. When he then said sorry about the nazi comments he started out with "I think the reason the french cant take a joke about the jews is that they threated them so badly themselves" and on top of that he said he was proud to be the first person to be banned.

Just saw this yesterday and it was one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. Dunst was surprisingly perfect in the role of the crazy depressed bride, Gainsbourg also delivered one great performance. The effects were quite stunning and the movie was well told although a bit slow, not as slow as anti christ but certainly slow and started with slow motion footage like anti christ too. But yeah don't want to spoil anything but just say that you should look forward to this movie, not sure when it is releasing but it had premier here yesterday and I was honestly blown away so without sounding like some viral advertisement I would really recommend this to everyone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzD0U841LRM
