Basically, we're trying to migrate a legacy MySQL database into our new wordpress database. I can guide on what tables on the old one are relevant and where they need to go, but the architecture is significantly different. The resource we had working on it was off to a good start and ran several tests, but unfortunately the amount of time he could spend on it was dwindling. I'm trying to get a recap of what he tried and where he was going to at least make things a little less painful.
Like FishPants, I am willing to donate my time for free. I've been doing database programming for the past 7 years on Microsoft SQL servers. I also maintain legacy VB6 code, and occasionally program in .asp and C++. I don't know PHP, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out (assuming the code is properly commented). The only migrations I've done have been moving from Microsoft SQL server 2000 to Microsoft SQL server 2005, as well as the occasional server upgrade. But a quick Google search shows that migrating MySQL WordPress databases isn't too complex, just time consuming. Unless you are currently NOT using WordPress, and would like to move your non-WordPress MySQL database into the WordPress MySQL database format? -Lyno |

Are you doing this because you don't think you will win the Wishlist prize? There is nothing I want enough to spend the tickets on so I am holding out for winning 10 games in the long-shot drawing. You are entered in the contest with all your tickets whether you spend them or not. Might as well pick up some stuff for 3 tickets each. Nothing to lose. Yeah, I was just waiting to see if there would be an awesome Alien Breed bundle before spending tickets on it. I'm also kind of hoping they have a last minute change on what's offered (partially to see the crying of those who spent their tickets).. (ok, mostly to see the crying) Why wait? Jamestown looks remotely interesting. Anyone played it? Worth a fiver?
Seems to be getting decent reviews. Here's a GiantBomb Quicklook showing a good portion of gameplay. As for the tickets, I have 2. I quickly gave up trying to get any that I didn't already have, so I'm just hoping for the best. I do most of my dancing in the main country area. Thursday and Saturday are the best nights, but Saturday can get pretty busy so there isn't as much room to actually dance. I try to get there early to avoid the cover charge and to dance before it gets too busy, usually right after the lesson ends around 7:30pm.

Hang out in country bars like me! I understand Graham Central Station in Tempe is awesome. Seriously, people who hang out in country bars are very friendly. You can drink and watch people dance and not worry about the place being a meat market. You'll also find people of all ages there (depending on the age limit for the night that is). It helps to like country music, but it's not a requirement.

That's pretty funny. I go to Graham's quite often on Thursday's and Saturday's to dance. I know the place has several different areas with different themes for each room (country, hip hop, top 40, 80's, etc). Which part of the club do you hang out in and what nights do you recommend? I plan to visit in a month or so and want to check the place out. I've met many people the past few years while dancing in country bars. Before then, I wouldn't meet anyone new. Now I meet new people every week (most of them pretty girls). I highly recommend it. -Lyno |

Thanks for the heads up!
You download and install the FO3:GotY CODE program from Gamestop, it will then email you a Steam code after you run it, then you go to Steam, activate the code and install using Steam.
Been playing since last night, love it! I'm tempted to restart and read up on powergaming strategies now, especially after talking to Burke.

The one I'm referring to isn't in the first book, so it might not be the same one Cort has in mind, I said later books to avoid giving an idea of when to expect it. Trust me, if the books grab you you'll reach it soon enough. I couldn't believe it either, and flipped the pages back and forth thinking I skipped a few pages or something. Was extremely shocked and thought George R. R. Martin was an asshole. PS: I still think he's an asshole. Finish the damn series already! |

it's fun, but I wish there was a way to speed up vehicles. maybe there is, I haven't unlocked all the commands yet. I called it a night after I got my arse handed to me on the second half of the second map, right after you get the probe. the way I read the map I thought it showed which direction the turrets would fire in, and was dismayed when the ones I thought could only face north swiveled 180 degrees and proceeded to wipe out my troops as they were surrounded. Two things I can tell that are going to get old (unless something changes): 1) the rifts that appear when trying to follow the most obvious route. 2) the attacks from the air. right now there is no way to avoid them and they feel like they are in there to do just enough damage to make you use up repair packs. oh, and whatever happened to normal difficulty? there's casual, advanced and one other higher setting. is casual the new normal?  Those "air attacks" are your supply drops. They leave behind more repair packs. -Lyno |

Ninja 250? Perhaps Im too old for it. My beard is gray.
I had a Ninja 250 Fun little bike, but I would imagine as a first bike it'll leave you wanting more rather quickly. Good thing they're cheap and hold their value pretty well. You can sell it for close to what you paid for it to the next new biker that needs a starter bike. -Lyno |

I don't know how many states ban talking on cell phones when driving, but people using them have introduced a new worry for motorcyclists.
Like as if we needed more.
Here in Jakarta, some bikers talk on cell phones while riding and not the handfree one, they also can text and ride. But I guess lives are cheaper in third world countries. How fast are these guys going? I typically do 80-85 mph on my bike. The wind would rip the phone from my hand at that speed. -Lyno |
