Yeah the manual is in other languages. Game me a pause when I first picked it up.

Really enjoying it so far, but I had one puzzle kick my ass for 10 mintues, and then it was completely obvious when I finally figured it out. Too much beer I guess.

I really don't like the show. It has potential, but Fox just has to do everything over the top and ruin it. I really do like Gordan Ramsey though, so I will watch.
2363  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [Wii]final internet channel now up on: April 12, 2007, 05:53:46 PM
Not that I turn my Wii on much anymore, but I did for Paper Mario, and I found I really enjoy the channels when taking a little break. Check the weather, the news, take some polls, and check some web pages. As others have said, Opera is much improved. Much easier to use.
2364  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [Wii] Super Paper Mario Impressions on: April 11, 2007, 07:39:46 PM
Picked it up at Target today.

So far I agree with everyone else. Intro is too long. Graphics are a bit sparse. Fun game. I like the idea of a RPG platform, and so far it seems to work.
2365  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [Wii] Super Paper Mario Impressions on: April 11, 2007, 06:29:46 AM
Why bother calling them? Target and Walmart are a day later on new releases, if that, and they don't sell opened games as new or hassle me.

I know there are probably some great EB/GS out there with managers who really love gaming, but I just can't support their store.

"You People" is the simplest thing you can say to make African Americans extremely angry these days.

I work with a black girl who is always saying "You people", while usually not referring to white people, but it's become the shop joke now and we all say it.

Anyway, I hate Imus, but I don't see the big deal. He's a shock jock trying to be funny. As Howard Stern said, he should just say fuck it and move on.

Tried to watch it, but it thought it was so bad that I turned it. It would work a lot better if everyone was improvising.

Going to sacrifce a goat for it.

I hate Easter, I need to go grocery shopping but everything will be closed. At least I got beer.

Thanks for the link.

Not blown away by it, but I like it OK. Nothing special, but better than most bands out today.
2370  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Your Skill Level At Games on: April 05, 2007, 03:26:13 AM
I pretty much suck everything, especially action games. I played Gears of War with friends, and no one wanted me on their team. I was lucky to get a kill and the person I did kill got made fun of for it. Guitar Hero 2? Lowest rating on every song of all my friends. It's actually embarrassing, and I don't have the patience to ever get good at most games, so I wonder why I game at all.

I am ok at RPGs, wargames etc, but as I get older I am less likely to want to spend the time to learn them.
2371  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [360] Guitar Hero II on: April 04, 2007, 02:23:06 AM
Did an impulse buy despite my issues with my left hand (I have a disability that I mentioned much earlier in this thread). Game is a blast. I only quit because my hand was hurting. I can't see getting past medium because I can only really play with 2 fingers, but I can do it on easy, just some songs are tricky.

I tried switching over to left handed, but it didn't feel natural and I did even worse.

I've always hated Aerosmith.

HATE Aerosmith. After they got sober that is. They had some great stuff, but that whole MTV re-inviting themselves through video period produced some of the worst music possible.

Red Hot Chili Peppers would be the other for me. I just can't stand anything they do. Although I didn't mind them back in the 80s before anyone knew who they were.

2374  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: I officially love the PSP on: April 03, 2007, 05:18:32 AM
I was the opposite, I sold my PSP because I liked my DS so much better. I am too old to worry about if a game is too kiddy or not, if its fun, I will play it.

But, some of the games coming out for the PSP this year may get me to buy another one if those games get solid reviews.
2375  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Enchanted ARMS- Caution to PS3 owners on: April 03, 2007, 05:16:40 AM
Of course the gay character is barely in the game (at least in that incarnation). Also I didn't find the dialog any worse than any other JRPG, they are all hideous IMO.

Really enjoyed it as far a JRPGs go. The combat was very original and fun.

Haven't seen that screen once on my Dec 05 model.

Crackdown is great fun if you like the GTA kind of thing.

You are also going to want an HD TV now if you don't already have one. smile

Thanks guys, I have some friends who have it, but never played it because I didn't want to look like an idiot. So BB is out! I will have to sneak away and play it at their house next time I am there.
2379  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [360] Guitar Hero II on: April 02, 2007, 12:43:53 AM
Question about this game? I had an arm injury years ago that resulted in my middle finger on my left hand having limited use. I can use it, but for instance, typing I can't lift the finger off the keys, I rotate my whole hand to pull it up off the keys.

So in GH do you primary use your index finger on the guitar neck, or is it more like a real guitar where I have need to have good use of all 4 fingers?

I bought a bike last year for $900. I didn't know if I would like cycling so I didn't want to spend too much but everyone was saying I need to spend more if want a decent one. While I like the bike, I aways wish I would have spent more since I do enjoying cycling.

So now I have two bikes, because I went out and bought a new one less than a year later.

Anyone want to buy a bike in the WY area? smile

While I would agree with much of what you said Gellar, I just don't remember many teams not even getting one run in. They take out the spare car if nothing else IIRC.

Looks like CC figured out they weren't supposed to sell them yet. This morning when I checked their website for my area (and a couple other areas) it would list all the stores in the area and it said "out of stock" but a couple of stores really far from me did have it available for pick up. This evening it won't even list stores now, it says "See availability information" but doesn't list any infor when they will sell it.

Retired in 4 races today. One was a tire blowing, my fault, but the others were all crashes. I only put my starts at 62 and agression at 60, I don't get what the deal is. It's starting to get frustrating.

That him going this far our further would damage the show's credibility in America.

The show has credibility?? Even if I liked pop music, I wouldn't turn to a remake of the Gong Show to find the latest and greatest.

Wonderpugs post makes me want to vote, how much does it cost?

I was swapping channles tonight and saw the guy in question. UGH, kill me now.

It's easy to fight the forum effect when the demo didn't seem that great and the mainstream reviews don't seem to like it too much so far. smile

Everyone I know who does the puzzles (we do them at work a lot) can solve the 5 stars from USA Today. We race.

I would say the real reason people like them is that they are pretty easy. Sure some can take some work, but most are pretty easy to do.

Getting frustrated with the lack of participation in public games. Lots of people go AWOL. My partner on my Williams 2007 team disappeared and it's hurting me bad. Hopefully he gets kicked soon since he hasn't done any car settings yet.
