I don't understand what this thread is about anymore. Kittens, right?
Sigh, you really haven't been paying attention have you? Dogs think their human but cats think they are God. Ergo, Cats want to kill you if you don't pet them and give them treats. Anybody else confused now? Not really, no. I just came here to troll - but I can't effectively troll without knowing what's going on. Thankfully, I for one welcome our new cat overlords. All glory to the hypnocat!

So my Commander told my unit that our next paycheck will be half the normal amount, and we will not be receiving a check at all the following pay period if the shutdown continues There are 2 things that you don't mess with in the Military: 1. Pay 2. Chow Well at least we aren't currently in the middle of three wars. Oh. Wait.

To me it seems more like a plan to ensure the government keeps us under their thumb, and spends spends spends until the country crumbles. This...from a government budget proposal? I'm SHOCKED! FTFY FTFY... again!

i just get tired of the same old rhetoric that any criticism of our country or its primary religious beliefs is immediately labelled as unamerican. I find it insulting and idiotic. start bashing all extremest religions equally and you'll be good to go Do I have to bash all horrible movies equally in order to be able to bash The Phantom Menace for being a shitty movie?

Everyone's a non-believer until they're on their deathbed, or one of their kids are.
If you die tomorrow, will you be satisfied with what you have done with your life? I think for 99% of us, that answer is no, and that's why death is scary. My life is nowhere near the pinnacle of awesome that I thought it would be by now. Fortunately, there is help. I gain an hour a week by not going to church on sunday (plus travel time) which allows me additional time to be more awesome and happy.

Can I make an observation? Why is it that, for over a decade now, game companies have persisted in turning one of the most famous turn based games on pen and paper, into real time action fests? Won't argue too much with your overall point, but there have actually been 3 separate turn-based D&D-titles released in the last 10 years, unless I'm missing some. Sadly, none of those games even came close to the turn based greatness that was the gold box series of the 90s.

I agree with this, but swimming with that whale honestly doesn't seem like fun to me Riding a motorcycle doesn't seem fun to me, but then again, we're all different. Being anywhere near this thing doesn't seem 'smart' but people do it.

Then you really don't know what they're like to ride. Can you even ride a motorcycle? If not, then ya...I could see where you'd rather swim with an animal with many large teeth and big enough to swallow you whole. Have you ever swam with a whale? If not, then ya, I could see where you'd rather ride a vehicle where a pothole on the road or another vehicle cutting you off could cause you to go flying, wipe out and fly fifty feet, ultimately resulting in the loss of an arm or worse traumatic experience, or even death. (A friend of mine lost an arm a year ago in a motorcycle accident) Really though - life is full of risks. If you enjoy something or want to try something, and are aware of the potential outcomes, go for it. No one getting in that tank with the whale are not aware of what might happen.

Have you ever ridden a 'crotch rocket'?
Nope. And the whale tank sounds more fun to me. Killer Whale attack fatalities in the US for 2010 - 1
Killer Whale fatalities in which a motorcycle helmet was not worn - 0
Dude who was in the killer whale tank was wearing a motorcycle helmet?

I picked up Full House Poker saturday morning. Is anyone else from GT playing?
Pretty good game. I find it quite addicting and lost several hours this weekend to it. However, as with all poker games where no actual money is involved, a lot of players have the 'all in first hand' mentality - and there's not much really detracting from that.
The 'live show' they have, while not 1 v 100 fun, is still interesting. Maybe a little buggy. I had a few players in my first group on Saturday afternoon - but that game crashed out after about 15 minutes. When I got back in, there was no one else playing in my group for about an hour.

I'm shocked that GH:World Tour and Rock Band made the list, and that Wii Play + Remote wasn't #1. Kind of surprised to see both wii fit titles on the list, since my board just collects dust.
I'm disappoint but not shocked that three call of duty games are on the list. I wish they published the top 20 or 30, and total numbers here too.

Available on Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation®3 system (March 29):
Days of Peace Pack 01 • Jefferson Airplane – “Somebody to Love” • Blood, Sweat & Tears – “Spinning Wheel” • Santana – “Black Magic Woman” X
Singles • DragonForce – “Through the Fire and Flames” X • DragonForce – “Operation Ground and Pound”
I need to see pro keys charts on these before making a decision, but I'm pretty sure I'm in for that Days of Peace pack. TTFAF pro guitar on the other hand...

It's nice that we geeks have a subset to ridicule.
I stopped ridiculing it after watching Role Models a few times. Larping looks... fun.

Does that net profit amount take employee salaries and costs of running the store into account? If so, then it seems like a very good profit. Plus - I assume that they do frequently lose money on used items they take in when the prices drop. Its gotta be risky business to ever buy a used sports title. I buy used games from them almost every week. This

i would still like to play Shattered Dimensions,i heard its not too bad
I felt it controlled like crap. The spider man noir sections were painful to play, and the spiderman 2099 fight vs the green goblin was annoying. Far too often spiderman didn't do what I wanted him to do, and the camera consistently kept trying to go back to horrible default views while I was on the wall or ceiling, causing me to jump into baddies and get killed instead of fighting them. The Kraven level was a lot of fun though.

It's also why you'll almost never see me playing multiplayer.
that's why if you're not on my firends list you're automatically muted. I also recently installed an IQ filter, so you must have an IQ of at least U.2.K level or above to remain on my list. Did you just muTE ME?

Just finished this. And... yeah. That's about it. Off it goes for trade in.
Finished on Saturday morning. Once the end quest got started, things got a little more exciting. (Not much, mind you) I'll put the ending in spoilers, but trust me when I say I'm not spoiling anything because the game has absolutely no story. If you like your RPGs with zero story, and you hate going to diverse places and would rather run around the same uninteresting bland areas over and over again, have I got a game for YOU!

I'm not at all surprised by any of this. Disgusted, but not surprised. People on xbox live are generally horrible no matter what your gamertag is, so if you have something for the 12-15 year olds to actually run with, you're always going to get this.
I really wish there were two xbox lives. One where you have to be 30+ to play on.
It's also why you'll almost never see me playing multiplayer.
