The Original game is actually part of a sale on PS+ at the moment as well,i may have to have a look in..i thought the original was for PC and Playstation 1,but if that link says PS2,then PS2 it is(i just didn't think EU got decent PS2 titles on PSN)
ew... please don't play the PS2 version. The graphics, controls, and level design took a huge hit in the conversion from PC. Edit: IIRC, the levels are largely the same, but you hit load points *constantly*

I'll post this here as well, what actual purpose does the sub forum thing do? It seems to negatively impact the user experience (you can't see if there are any new posts in that board from the main board page) and has no noticeable value other than moving the location of the forum link (which to me is no value at all).
I agree. I don't think sub forum is a good idea. Merging game forums are good idea, but using sub forum doesn't have any benefit. Please move R&P forum back to being a separate forum instead of sub forum of off topic. Is that the consensus? Let's hear from a few more folks and if it's what the forum wants, we'll do it. I liked the sub-forums, personally.

Very smart marketing on his part... this goodwill gesture will probably push the game back up the charts, selling a lot of new copies, as well as the new iPad version.

I liked it better when it was called the Phantom. Or the Pandora. Or the Evo.
I appreciate that they're trying to do something in the console space, but if it gains anything more than a niche audience, I'll be very surprised. Though I am interested in it's potential as a HTPC/emulator box.

I finally finished Assassin's Creed II - enjoyable, but damn that's a long game (at least it felt that way).
I've got AC: Brotherhood sitting on my PS3 hard drive as well - not sure I want to dump another 30+ hours into Desmond's memories yet. Need a palette cleanser of some sort first. Possibly Bulletstorm or SSX.

I only watched the refusal and renegade endings, and they're an improvement, but that's not saying much. At least they retcon a bit so the ending makes more sense and leaves an opening for future stories in the universe... I still hate the starchild plot device and the numerous holes that still remain.

That keyboard is awesome. But honestly, that's the only part that looks cool to me. All I can think of is constant MS updates, crashes, and viruses.
Are those really problems these days? Updates are installed in the background at night, and I can't remember the last time I had an OS crash or was hit by a virus.

Most disappointing is ME3, not because it was a bad game, but because the ending has soured me on replaying the other games. Same here. I had every intention of playing through the trilogy a couple of more times with different character builds, but when the ultimate resolution boils down to red, green, or blue, who cares? That's pretty much the only game from this year that I've played. Of all the rest, Assassin's Creed II gets my vote for best of 2009 that I'm playing in 2012

That is awesome! I halfway tried to get these off of ebay back in the day, but the prices for these in good condition were always insane. Much like the Quest for Glory collections....
Yep... I bought Savage Empire in a Wal-Mart bargain bin for $5 in the mid 90s... sold it on eBay for over $120 a few years later.

Wow... this is a massive amount of free gaming: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/06/05/playstation-plus-e3-2012Virtua Fighter 5 – June 5th inFAMOUS 2 – June 5th Little Big Planet 2 – June 5th Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One – June 5th Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – June 5th Just Cause 2 – June 5th Saints Row 2 – June 5th Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light – June 5th Hard Corp: Uprising – June 5th Choplifter HD – June 5th Zombie Apocalypse Never Die Alone – June 5th Sideway NY – June 5th Most of my console gaming has been done on the Xbox this generation and last. But Sony is *really* making the PS3 compelling with steep discounts and outright free games via PS Plus. And the save game backup was handy when my 20GB model died a couple of months ago.
