161  Non-Gaming / Forum and Site Feedback / Re: Pornhub interview - Random thoughts on: December 18, 2013, 04:54:02 PM
After more than a decade, do you guys honestly believe I'd do that?  By this same thread of logic I shouldn't report on Al Lowe leaving Replay because of Paul Trowe being convicted of exposing a minor to explicit material (twice).   It's INDUSTRY NEWS.  They offered us the chance to interview their CEO, we laughed and found a way to make it humerus.   Apparently we didn't make some of you laugh, but c'mon...

Hmm. Didn't know about the article. Not sure why it's here.

Not sure I can be here if that's the direction the site is headed.

Must evaluate.  icon_confused

Ok, seriously?  Read the article.  It's tongue in cheek, it's gaming industry news as this is the first time a porn company has tried to optimize their product for a game console.  Gaming Trend doesn't ENDORSE anything in the article.   Christ, it's like saying "Hmm...violence on the news?  Not sure I can be here if they show something other than ribbon cutting ceremonies.  Must evaluate".   C'mon people.

Thanks for the feedback.   It was meant to be fun, that's all.  I don't think anything in the article was particularly racy or anything.  Reading the comments on nearly any random youtube video would be so much worse.

I just posted up the same thing on the DLC and Demo, but here's the part that caught my attention:  http://gamingtrend.com/2013/12/13/dead-rising-3-gets-dlc-demo/

"The 20-minute timed sandbox can be experienced up to two times per gamertag."

Ok, I get it - it's an open world so you have to lock it down a bit in hopes you'll buy it, but limits on demos?  That's kinda new....

How is that even possible? Isn't there records you are supposed to have, birth certificates, birth registrations, personal ID numbers and so on?

In Denmark, each citizen has a unique number we receive at birth to identify us throughout our entire life.

Sure, we have our social security #s.  With the rate of identity theft in this country I wouldn't doubt that this was forged or stolen as well.  :/

Ok - new video to test.

http://gamingtrend.com/video-post/rayman-legends-coming-xbox-one-playstation-4/

This one should have an HD button to bump the quality to max.  I should have a replacement Elder Scrolls video in a moment too that should show HD.

thanks to everyone who is helping to test this.  It's appreciated.  smile

178  Non-Gaming / Forum and Site Feedback / Need some testing on: December 11, 2013, 04:38:16 PM
So we are implementing a more robust video player on the site and I need some help testing it:

http://www.gamingtrend.com/video-post/elder-scrolls-online-gets-release-date-new-trailer/

Can you check out the video for TESO and give me feedback with the following:

Did it work?
Browser type and version
How was the quality?
Was the ad intrusive?
Could you run it fullscreen?

Thanks so much!

Well, after Need for Speed Rivals completely shat itself I decided to go back to the single player of BF4 on XB1.  Well....crashy crashy, roughly every 3-5 minutes.   Seriously, what's wrong with these damned launch titles?
184  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PC/360/XB1/Ps3/Ps4] Need for Speed Rivals on: December 10, 2013, 03:42:15 AM
Ok, so I'm playing the Xbox One version when all of a sudden WHOOOOOSH the camera spins around 360 degrees and I crash into walls, cars, etc.  It does it almost every race and it seems to be at the worst possible times.  As a racer I usually end up busted, and as a cop I usually lose my suspect.  Seems that others have had the same problem:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gvQ8nzDq6Q

Are any of you seeing this?   Between NFSR and Battlefield 4, I couldn't play a damned thing today that wasn't aggravating.   Both of those are EA products too.  Rushed to hit the launch date?  Seems so.

Sorry - this is my fault.  We had some current members get banned accidentally (serves em right for living in countries with spammers!   icon_eek ) and I had to change the cookie to fix that.  It shouldn't happen again.

186  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The "No Next-Gen Console" Support Group on: November 23, 2013, 02:16:33 AM
You are probably surprised to see me in here, but I'm temporary in this group.

I got a PS4 at launch.  It blue striped me after 10 minutes of use.  I sent it back, they 'repaired it', and it's still broken.  I'm waiting for a replacement console that should arrive Monday-ish.

I didn't get an XB1, though I've been trying.  I ordered from Amazon and there was a problem with my cart.  By the time they got it fixed, the console was sold out and I'm now trying to find one on the shelf.

So yea.....not a lot of luck here so far.

In the mean time, PC MASTER RACE REPRESENT!

199  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / [Announcement] Gaming Trend unveils a new review and scoring system! on: October 20, 2013, 06:09:15 PM
Check out this post on the front page for the details:  http://www.gamingtrend.com/2013/10/20/gaming-trend-revamps-entire-review-process/

Any of our reviews moving forward (like the freshly posted Pokemon X/Y and Just Dance 2014 reviews) will feature this new scoring system.  You'll also see the score displayed up front in the review carousel midway on the page or in the Reviews tab up top.

(We also snuck in a visible indicator for videos - I bet you can spot it pretty easily)

We are pretty excited about the new layout and look and hope you are too.  We'd love to hear your feedback!
