Lolhahah hahaha laugh it up. If only you realized what was about to happen. laugh while you can. laugh all day and all night.
Make it productive or drop out of the conversation.  Quantify in a constructive fashion why you feel this way backing it up with fact, not conjecture, please.
15562  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Bloodrayne 2 on: October 14, 2004, 06:25:02 PM
So...I got this game last night....and sadly it was a bad burn. frown  I'm waiting for my replacement for a full review.  Of all the bad luck...
15563  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Vampire Bloodlines min specs on: October 14, 2004, 03:14:20 AM
The two games you mentioned were not well backed.  Atari rushed those games out the door....with Activision they were given much love, money, and time to finish it right.  From what I hear and what I've seen, it'll be worth the wait.
15564  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Vampire Bloodlines min specs on: October 14, 2004, 02:46:26 AM
Well, here is the thing on this:

I'm trying to get final approval to fly out on the 27th of THIS MONTH to play the game and get a big preview for you guys.

As for multiplayer...well...this caught me off guard - today I was clicking around on the site and saw a WHOLE section on multiplayer based on pitting the different types of character types against eachother.  It was right next to the Character Development portrait under Features.  As I hit it now, its gone.  Go figure?!

Also, those specs are not final...those are loosely based on the HL2 specs according to my Activision Rep.  The release date?  24 hours after HL2 is released was the recent quote I heard, but with th erecent litigation thing that deal might become more simple.

Good luck ATB.  That is really difficult.   I work for an ISP so they bring in lots of junk for us to eat...its a lot of work to pass that crap by too.

Serious question, KD, do you think that cutting out diet pop will help you lose more weight?
No but the extra crap that is in the soda not being in my system makes it more healthy.

And no, I would not be interested in an image hosted by Tripod. slywink
15567  Non-Gaming / Forum and Site Feedback / The Propriety of Advertising Pimps Lord on: October 13, 2004, 05:09:52 PM
Well, it really has more to do with making the site fiscally secure than anything to do with the content of that site.  With community support, that won't be a problem and I'm more inclined to be more picky with what I chose to display. smile  Lets see what happens when the dust clears...
15568  Non-Gaming / Forum and Site Feedback / Printing Thread Option? on: October 13, 2004, 05:08:34 PM

15569  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Day 4 without Pepsi... on: October 13, 2004, 03:38:44 PM
Should have been more specific....I switched OFF of Diet Pepsi.  This is water only.  I already gave up coffee, smoking, and drinking.  I'm not trying to become a monk or a Mormon, just trying to lose weight and be more healthy...
15570  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Day 4 without Pepsi... on: October 13, 2004, 03:24:33 PM
So I'm going into day 4 without drinking any soda of any kind.  I'm trying to kick the habit...this is harder than quitting smoking or drinking!  Its nuts!!  The headaches remind me of friggin DTs!

I'm posting to disagree with you. GG was a great gaming site (more on that later), but it was R&P/EBG that was the heart of GoneGold.
You and I are going to disagree highly on R&P being the heart of Gone Gold.  I'll accept EBG, but R&P wasn't initiated and/or signed off on by Rich, so we'll agree to disagree.

I didn't say it was ONLY about gaming...I know all about the community, I had a few grand in posts myself remember.  Now, I didn't need dating advice, my wife would have frowned on that, but I can think of many a situation where I asked for GG's help.  I don't suspect that'll be any different here...in time.

School me, has anyone other than a Dem or Rep ever pulled more than 5% of the vote?  Its never more than those two in the debates really...I just can't believe that these are my only two viable options. (and don't say Nader...the man doesn't use those new fangled PCs)

Here are some of his reviews of the most recent ones:

They are definately a strategy gamers game though...no high-pace here.

...and I could barely get home through the freeway today.  Apparently they have closed half of the downtown area off in the direction that I have to head home.  :/

I have serious concerns over one thing though..traffic aside...they are selling tickets for $100,000 for one ticket, $200,000 for two tickets, or $400,000 for the family 8 pack.  I think that regardless of which side you support you have to agree that this doesn't let the common man see their politicians...

Well...I have to admit, we are sailing into VERY uncharted water here.  Loren is dead on with my previous stance.  We locked and shot dead on sight any political threads of any sort.  That said, I recognize the needs to discuss current events and given the landscape those can turn political.  Give us some time on this...I wouldn't call it a change in policy as my decision hasn't changed (still no R&P forum, if you are looking for that, you are in the wrong forum) but I imagine we'll have a bit more tolerance than before...again, give us some time.

But his post was a seriously unwarranted cheap shot. I tried to be PC yesterday in describing why this community isn't for me. The people gravitating here are largely (but certainly not solely) the group that acting like complete ******** when the R&P forum split on GG. That's not any community that I want to be a part of anymore.

Want to hear the most hilarious part?  I have no idea what you are talking about.  I didn't know that there was a big rift until long after it had happened.  All this mass gravitation towards here is largely imagined...

Its not that I'm out of touch, its just that our growth numbers don't show some sort of spike like you describe.
