Trying to finish up the hardest difficulty in Spec Ops. It's the only achievement I need to get 1K in the game so I figured I'd give it a shot. Close to halfway through now.
Other than that, dunno.

I'm skeptical the latest round of talks will lead to a resolution, despite it supposedly being the most promising talks in 5 months. I'm still not missing the NHL that much; I keep going to the odd Abbotsford Heat game and I've been highly entertained and impressed each time. And where do they stand in the AHL standings - 1st place baby, as in numero uno! Unfortunately my beloved Vancouver Giants are last in the WHL. I'm impressed with the fans at the games though, especially the kids who cheer them on with such enthusiasm at games that you'd think they were in 1st. They only cheer like that because no one told them the truth yet. What a small short thread for this year.

Started Spec Ops that I picked up on Thurs night. Very Gears of War action (but I like that) and the story has been pretty interesting so far. Worth the cash I spent for it I feel.
Also picked up Halo 4 and a few PS3 games but I don't have that set up currently so they will wait a bit.

I've enjoyed it so far.
Interesting seeing the differences between this, the RDJr movies, and the BBC show. Not real familiar with the Holmes lore but I've enjoyed what I've seen.

Was finally able to see the first episode of this.
I liked it a lot. Never seen the SH guy before though. Going to try to catch the rest now.

started Halo ODST Saturday afternoon and finished it about 1am
I always got stuck against two hunters about 20 minutes into the game and never got further, thankfully this time i managed to kill them and carry on
I really enjoyed ODST,it was something different from the usual Halo experience
Yeah, I really enjoyed it as well. I just ran from some of the fights on Legendary.

SW TFU 360 - getting a few more achievements in this. Won't be getting the hardest difficulty one though I'm guessing. Had enough glitches and freezes forcing me to replay some of the hardest parts already. Not sure I could handle it on the hardest difficulty. ???
Thinking of replaying Bioshock again. Have both in the backlog and never played the second.

??? Something single player.
I finished SW: TFU but will probably go back for some achievements even if I don't get them all right now. May start an RPG for a change. Lost Odyssey, ME3, or Fable 3 (among others) are all in the backlog. Debating heavily on getting Halo 4. Don't really have any spare cash for it but my brother and I both want to play it. I also want BO2 but don't have quality highspeed right now so that will wait I guess.

Today is an awesome day. The Tigers are in the World Series!!!!!! What an incredible performance by the Tigers starting rotation. Going back to the start of the playoffs, for the time since they started recording earned runs 100 years ago, a starting pitching rotation went 7 games in a row without giving up an earned run in the first 5 inning of a game. The starting pitchers combined ERA is 1.02 with 66 strike outs over 62 innings pitched and opposing batters had a combined .162 batting average against them. They gave up an average of 3.8 hits per game. If the Tigers can continue this unheard of dominance thru the World Series, they will be unbeatable. Go Tigers!
Detroit needs someone to win something again as the Wings are lacking (when playing) as of late and the Lions are the Lions.

Just finished this after stalling mid way through season 4. It certainly lost a lot of the charm after the second season and was never the same. Having the characters grow was necessary, but it seemed to change it a little too much. I did laugh more in the fifth season than I did during the whole fourth though. Some decently fun wrap ups. I still enjoy the Jeffster combo. I'm a little sad it's done now to be honest. Need to find something new to watch like it I guess.

SW: TFU 360 - Played through a couple levels of this so far. Not perfect by any means but not bad. Kinda got me interested in the SW universe again and wanting to get around to finally watching the Clone Wars cartoon since they are all on my pc. AssCreed 360 - I should get around to working on this more. Kinda got sidetracked. The repetition certainly doesn't help. Dunno what else. My BF3 group has moved to BL2 and I will be losing my net access for a while after moving so guess I should get some in this weekend before I'm done.

Weekend here again. Some big stuff coming out pretty quick this fall. More fuel for the backlogs. As for me: AssCreed - want to wrap this up sometime soon. I can see the repetition and been playing it sporadically as to break the tedium. BF3 - hopefully can talk my group into playing this at some point instead of BL2 SW: The Force Unleashed 360 - Loaded this up but only played ~5min so far. Want to dig in at some point. What about you?

I actually like him in comedies - He's "safe" fun and I enjoy his physical acting as well. Green Lantern was a horrible movie though, but I doubt that's because of Ryan Reynolds.
Anyways - I'm on twitter with Hugh Jackman and he's often twittering(?) pictures from various Gym's and his breakfast and man he cares about his diet. Its crazy the thing actors do to stay fit for this kind of movies!
I was watching something not long ago when I played through the Wolverine game that had an interview with him. He was pretty adamant about the part of when he came up out of the water in the facility that the body shown on screen was all his with no touch-ups.

I remember being horribly disappointed with the Heroes game when I rented it. The books were great and the game not so much.

This was ... terrible. Absolutely terrible. Every single woman looks like they stepped out of a fashion magazine. They haven't had power in 15 years but villages are surrounded by trees. The men all have that "I just woke up scruffy facial" look. An airport hasn't been completely picked over in 15 years. They covered the entire power outage in 2 minutes. I guess that means plenty of flashbacks - this is JJ Abrams, right?
Terrible.
I have to point out that Walking Dead, in my opinion (and that show is far from perfect), at least gets the scrambling to survive part right.
I haven't checked it out yet but it struck me as a silly concept to begin with. Now about that zombie lesbianism mentioned earlier...

Yeah, I always pictured Thorin in particular to be old with white hair at least. Seems I remember that he was dreaming of trying to take back the mountain after his dad Thrain had died long ago.
I thought the book described him as old but it's been forever since I've read it. It was Fili and Kili that were described as much younger than everyone else I thought.

apparently only the $270 bundle is going to be available right away. the top part sliding to the left to reveal the disc compartment is an interesting idea.
Oh really, that's weird i thought that was a disc tray where the Playstation logo was,i wanna see that in action Found this on Arstechnica. Not sure where originally other than IGN obviously. Looks like it's just begging to have the BR lens accumulate dust buildup unless it's easily cleaned or recessed somehow.

BF3 got me raging with insta-death using the supposed 'random spawn' option. No matter where I spawned someone would be looking at me waiting even on the new huge maps. Taking a necessary break from it for a couple days. AC1 is still occupying my time occasionally. Black Mesa is pretty good. The marines have been putting the hurt on me so far even on Easy. Thinking about just sticking on God mode and going through it. Nice to see all the nods and references along with the new stuff. They did a good job all things considered.

Ive been officially moved from my Ranger Battalion, to the wounded warrior program. I don't know, making this transition has killed my interest of my favorite hobby; video gaming I thought I would be happy with all the free time, but the closer I get to retirement the worse I fell Sounds like it's time for a break then. Go spend some family time or do something for your fellow warriors. Games will always be here for a return.

Assassin's Creed - Decided to skip most of the flag hunting for now. May go back and get the achievements for it at some point.
Kagath, I swear to god, if you burn yourself out on something as fruitless as hunting down 300+ randomly placed flags, I'm going to dedicate my life to becoming your boss just so I can sexually harass you at work, inform you in writing that enduring my crude antics is a condition of your employment, and then spend my days defending myself on internet gaming forums when you decide to get litigious. Let's see how much flag hunting you get done then! -Autistic Angel Haha! Jokes on you. I'm currently self/un-employed.
