make sure to stock up on lots of toilet paper and have a bucket near the toilet because chances are you'll need to both vomit and take a dump at the same time.

oh yeah, and for everyone else in your household keep lots of Lysol nearby when you do go in.

Food poisoning: first you think you're going to die, then you wish you would.

Seriously, I've had it a couple/few times. Lasts usually not more than a day or so. Just don't leave the vicinity of the restroom.

Barry Melrose deserves a major helping of crow as he picked the Avs to handle the RedWings easily.  Im sure he will fall back on the injury crutch to save face but regardless of that, you can not deny that the Wings dominated the Avs completely.
They look like a completely different team ever since they put Ozzie back in goal.  If they can sustain even close to this level of play, I cant see anyone beating them in a seven game series.  While im glad to see Detroit have an easy series with a nice rest break, I definately miss the intensity of the old Avs - Wings rivalry.  when that was at its peak it was the best hockey rivalry ever.  No holds barred, absolute hatred between the 2 and every game was a war.  Good times!
I remember watching him do the commentary back in '02. If he could of reached through the monitor to service Patrick Roy he would have. He had some kind of man crush on Roy and most of the Avs team. I haven't seen him since much, but I'm not suprised he's still the same way. What a wanker.

I recently got to watch the first movie and enjoyed it immensely. Never watched the cartoon but I did have some of the toys. Looking forward to a sequel.

Hay guys what's going on in this thread?

2205  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Oh, my aching back(log)! on: May 02, 2008, 03:38:44 AM
Quake 4 for a solid if not over evolutionary game. Not too long and pretty much straight action. If you enjoyed #2 or it's expansions you will probably like it. FarCry was fun also but looong.

Jade Empire was awesome on the Xbox. Set it on easy and play it for the story. I have it for the PC as well, but I haven't got the time for it again at the moment. Don't let the feeling of a somewhat on-a-rail experience ruin it. KotOR was fun as well if you like Star Wars of course. I put ~50hours into it when I played to do everything I could.

STALKER was awesome. Finished that recently. Patch it and have fun. Doom3/XP was fun, but I took a long time to play through both of them. Couldn't seem to get myself to have an extended play session in either for some reason. They are definitely worth a play through though.
2206  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Do you get pissed off sometimes when gaming? on: April 29, 2008, 07:26:52 AM
Yep, frequently. With as much cursing and profanity as I deem necessary. I stop myself from throwing items since I cracked a SNES controller long ago. A little squeezing periodically but that's about it. I figure that it's usually a good way to let off steam and aside from the strings of profanity that would make sailors cringe, I think I could be doing much worse things to relax/vent.

Funny enough, my bro (whom I am staying with temporarily) is two for two on breaking a controller on the God of War games. Broke his system original and bought a new one after I complained so much using the broken one (patched together with screws, super glue, and rubber bands). He had the replacement for 2 months before it met a early demise in GoW2 last week being completely shattered into non-fixable pieces. I don't think he's touched the newest replacement yet. Needless to say I don't put my equipment out in the living room often.

I'm going through this on my PSP currently. Still on disc one heading to Goganga (sp?) village. Been to the rocket on a previous play through, but seemed to get bored of it and never finished it. Been through the Midgar sequence several times, but always seem to stall out. I'm planning on finishing it this time though hopefully. Even broke down and grabbed a FAQ which I never used to do for games until recently.

If there are any West Wing fans out there, they have West Wing complete seasons for $19.99. Several other TV series on DVD on sale as well.

Heroes season 1 is $19.99 too. As is 30 Rock, and The Office Seasons 2 & 3.

yeah, i actually saw a bunch of Adult Swim boxed season sets for 14.99 each.  Picked up Harvey Birdman season 1 for that price.  I hope this is a new price point on these.  they also had all the Sealab 2021, Space Ghost, Brak Show and some ATHF for that price.  Sorry, no Venture Bros. at my store, though.
Damnit, I was there today and didn't notice any of the adultswim stuff cheap. Might have to go take another look. I did see the Frisky Dingo season 1 for $15, but it was in a single DVD case and pretty cheesy looking packaging.

I wonder if they are all going that route. I see AdequateBuy has one for $13 this week as well on sale.

Er, so did either of you want to part with one of the 1400's?
2224  Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / Re: LF: GameBridgeTV 1410 on: April 11, 2008, 01:01:20 PM
I still have some interest in the 1400. I'm guessing I will pick up a cheaper LCD tv or at least a multi-input monitor sometime here this summer when I get some extra cash so the tuner part isn't a deal breaker. I can simply keep a lookout for a 1410 in the meantime.

Appreciate you guys looking. Let me know if you decide to part with it.

I agree with the Jak 2 stuff whole heartedly. I recently finished 1 and then went through 2 & 3 in quick succession. Mainly cause my bro was leaning over my shoulder the whole time bothering me to finish them for the story. The first had some anger inducing moments. The second one I nearly gave up on since it was pissing me off so much. The third was a very good game and nearly made up for the other two.

Another is the end of God of War. Nothing like sticking you with something that you would never use normally. And then it froze.  icon_cry

Looking for one of these that someone isn't using any longer and collecting dust for a reasonable price. There is a 1400 model but I believe it's the 1410 that has a TV tuner as well so that's what I prefer.

I didn't pick one of these up a year or so ago when they were going for ~$10 like I should have. retard I don't own a tv right now so I would like to try my old CRT with one of these. Have some previous gen games I would like to get to sometime.

I'm trying out Vista at the moment but I'm not sure if these are compatible with it or not.

May be looking for some old guides as well. Final Fantasy X, X-2, XII, Dragon Quest 8, or Rogue Galaxy. RPG overload I guess. Someone must still have some of these kickin around still collecting dust. There's always Gamefaqs, but I like the book sometimes as well.

I have my picks done. I'm hoping I'm wrong in the Avs not making it to round 2 just because I'd like to watch some live playoff hockey against a team I actually care about (no offense to the Wild).

Go Red Wings!
I like your style.

Scooped up a Blue Dragon for $15 yesterday. Last one I found in the case. Was looking for one of the $10 Quake Wars, but no luck. Guess I need to keep looking for that one. I also grabbed a VGA cable for ~$12.50.

Yay first page! Apparently being unemployed a couple months is good for my backlog.  icon_confused icon_neutral

GC - Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (x1) Jan 08 - Ironically I finished this exactly a year after my original Cube crapped out on me stopping my progress then. Restarted around Dec 10th and completed it today.
PS2 - Jak & Daxter (x1) Jan 08 - Damn this game was annoying at times. The sequels better be more enjoyable. Apparently so according to my bro...
GBA - Final Fantasy: Dawn of Souls - FF2 (x1) Jan 08 - Took long enough for this to happen...
XBX - Far Cry Instincts: Evolution (x1) Jan 08 - Decent, but the first one was better.
PS2 - Jak 2 (x1) Feb 08 - Better than J&D but still too much annoying platforming for me anymore.
PS2 - Jak 3 (x1) Feb 08 - A much better and tighter game than the first two.
PC - Half-Life 2 (x3) Feb 08 - Favorite parts are still the city/squad stuff.
PC - Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil (x1) Feb 08 - Better than the original Doom 3. More/even action and less monster closets...
PS2 - Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando (x1) Feb 08 - Fun solid shooter platformer. Enjoy these more than the Jak games. Much less collection and more action.
360 - Gears of War (x1) Feb 08 - Decent play though, but didn't get the hype. Entertaining but not OMG awesome. Would play again probably. Yes for #2.
PS2 - Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal (x1) March 08 - Once again, good solid game. Insomniac gets the general idea of a good game experience. Few complaints.
PS2 - Ratchet: Deadlocked (x1) March 08 - Definitely the weakest one. Played through on Easy for story. Was quick and humorous so not a total loss of time.
X360 - Crackdown (x1) March 08 - Pretty decent game. No I didn't get all achievements yet, but I feel like I'm done with it for now. Nice sandbox feel.
PS2 - Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters (x1) April 08 - Decent game behind all the crappy porting. Bad POV gives headaches, sloppy camera, mediocre graphics.
PC - S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl (x1) April 08 - Awesome. Quirky designs and bugs included. Have capable PC and like FPS? Get it.
X360 - Halo 3 (x2) April 08 - Fun. Decent end to the trilogy. Not orgasmically awesome, but always fun nonetheless.
PC - Half-Life 2: Episode 1 (x1) April 08 - Fun. Good addition to HL series. Some different game mechanics. Don't like episodic style, rather have full game after a break.
X360 - Perfect Dark Zero (x1) April 08 - Can tell was first gen. Was a couple glitches apparent. OK, not great. Liked the music.
PS2 - God of War 2 (x1) May 08 - Fun with lots of action. Fixed a lot of platforming irritations from first game. Still a little glitchy.
X360 - Mass Effect (x1) May 08 - Good Bioware game. Minor annoyances, unbalanced, Mako driving wonky. Solid game and awaiting news of sequels.
PS2 - God of War 2 (x2) June 08 - Played through on normal this time. Same as above. Still had glitches.
X360 - The Darkness (x1) Dec 08 - Fun twisted action. Liked some of the music and some decent voice acting. Underrated.
PC - F.E.A.R. Extraction Point (x1) Dec 08 - More of the same of FEAR. Fun but I wanted it to get over before it was done.
PS3 - Resistance: Fall of Man (x1) Dec 08 - Decent fun. Played through single player, not sure if Coop is different/better. Could play it again in a while.
PC - Prey (x1) Dec 08 - Should have done this one long ago. Decently fun game. Right length. Over when I wanted it to be.

GBA - Final Fantasy V - Slogging through it slowly.
PSP/PSX - Final Fantasy 7 (for the first time hopefully through... Don't beat me!) Digging it on the PSP.
