Wait to see if any comes up for the Steam sale. I got them all last time for chump change.

BF3 360
MW3 360 - picked up the second DLC pack with the current sale. Had some fun so far.
Too Human - playing this through to the end of the second time and then will probably move on to something better.

Still have yet to finish this. Think I made it to the second disc during one attempt. Pretty sure I still have the ISO on my PSP so maybe I will load it up to try again. Just never got into it like others I guess.

Strange they would pick that map of all of them. Too bad there's no One Man Army and Thumpers in this game... Usually had to bust out the 'tubes during that map as someone would inevitably start at some point.  icon_lol

The older B/G WiFi adaptor has clips that fit into 2 slots on the back of the original 360.  So if you have a slim I'd recommend checking to see if it's even possible to connect it.
Just uses USB port so even it it's in the front hanging it will be fine.

My problem with the front page is that it loads so slow for me. All the social network integration bogs it down too much so I skip it. Seems to be better now but initially with this design it was unbearable.
167  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 3 on: July 03, 2012, 08:02:24 PM
They initially had the first two DLC packages up on Major Nelson's blog for 50% off (600MS) for this coming week (06/03), but they took them down. I was actually thinking I'd pick up the second but not now apparently.

Short list of some exclusives:

God of War Collection (1 & 2) - remastered PS2 ones
God of War Origins (2 PSP games) - remasted
Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
Ratchet & Clank Future: Clockblockers Crack in Time
Resistance series
Killzone series

Er, lots more. Have fun. I'm thinking about selling my 60gb at some point and picking up a slim myself.

174  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 6/29/12 on: June 29, 2012, 08:43:38 PM
BF3 360 - still playing this nightly with a bunch of Arstechnica guys. Mostly good stuff and much nicer than pubbing it up as one of them got a server a while back so we can kick the troublemakers.
Red Dead Redemption - got the 100% redeemed and looking at the MP section now. Probably won't do much with it as I tried a little last night and constantly got gunned down within a seconds of spawning by the same guy every time. retard
Too Human - still messing with this occasionally getting the low hanging achievements.

Dunno what else. May start something else from the backlog pile. Wolverine Origins is supposed to be decent so I may try that or restart something I've stalled on. Probably won't do much of anything as nice weather and all.

BF3 - Trying out the hardcore modes lately. Actually not that bad. I play the CoD ones in HC a lot but never really tried this before. Have one more assignment to complete for the MTAR and those will be done. Kinda liking the new content so far.
Too Human - still playing through this slowly.

May fire Red Dead back up to try for the 100% redeemed at some point.

184  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Falling Skies Season 2 on: June 18, 2012, 01:18:27 PM
This show wasn't about the aliens instead it's more about the humans that are left. That's always been the underlying theme.

Most people felt jipped from not seeing the aliens attack during last season. That's already happened in that world. They came, saw, and pretty much conquered already. People complaining they didn't see any of that was silly as it wasn't supposed to be about that part.

Finished GoW: Ghost of Sparta on PSP. Not as good as Chains of Olympus but it did have it's moments. Get in some BF3 MP as usual at night for a short bit with an eventual domination against a couple real dicks last night. Oh so satisfying win.

Ghost of Sparta ending question:
Spoiler for Hiden:
Who was that supposed to be at the very end? Wife of Kratos? Only one left is his kid I would guess.

There is a God of War Vita game now? How is that? It's looking like the Vita is something I will have to consider picking up at some point with Uncharted and GoW now. Started to appreciate my PSP more lately after updating the firmware although I still can't get the PMPstreamer or VLC software to work properly now.
186  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Has anyone had Ebay work in your (the seller's) favor? on: June 15, 2012, 11:10:37 PM

The price started at $5 with no reserve and free shipping.

Actually here's the link itself:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/251079439706?ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1559.l2649#ht_500wt_1200

I'm not sure how anyone could "confuse" that as coming with the $45 card.

I still feel they are in the wrong here but as ebay usually always seems to rule in the buyer's favor it may not be worth the hassle of fighting it.. and of course the buyer is demanding a refund "now" which if they don't return the card to me means I lose both the $25 and the card.
That sale seems pretty clear that it was just the card and not airtime. Sounds like the person discovered they spent too much for the card and doesn't want to pay up.

This weekend is Father's Day so that means that those of you with family and kids will should be busy doing other stuff than gaming.

However, those of us with no kids can thoroughly enjoy our gaming time.

Myself, no kids so:

BF3 - picked up Premium so checked out some of the new content last night.
MW3 - still playing this although it's tapered off a bit lately.
Too Human - Human commando in this. Nearing the end of the first time through and debating on doing another. Still haven't quite figured out the runes and charms and the camera certainly leaves something to be desired but it's been an experience so far.

What about you?

Hmm.  Been playing the original Far Cry after picking it up on the Steam sale.  Been messing around with Worms: Reloaded and :Golf.  Messed around with Dungeons of Dredmore last night and got my guy killed on Level 1 (again).  Maybe I should stop running in hardcore(?) mode.  There's also the closed beta of W**ld of W**Pl*n*s.

On track to go bowling with the gf, probably Saturday.

Put in a little more Far Cry time, got to the top of the mountain for the helicopter assault, which I remember now as the point where I quit.  Still not playing it with anything approaching a significant degree of stealth.

Went bowling on Saturday and got 4.5 games in on their pre-timed 2-hour deal.  Bowled fairly consistently in the 130 range.  GF improved every single game.  I attempted to start hooking the ball, and I got it to work a little bit, but nothing like the power spins that my Dad and the pros use.

Taught the GF to play Nightfall last night.  She beat me, managing to hijack one of my cards with a kicker attached to her hijack and award me 6 wounds, which put her in an easy win state.  She liked the game, so there's likely more games in our future.  I need to start looking at the expansions and card sleeves.
I got to the point where I would lure the thing over to the cliff and let it leap to attack me thus falling over the edge. Saved myself a few bullets that way which were much appreciated at that point.
