Funny thing is, I doubt the Drivatar system needs this cloud computing. I had some guy arguing that the system needed some magical machine learning algorithms that only massive server farms could do. But all that drivatars boil down to is AI that can use input scripts to change its behavior.
I remember AI driver training stuff stuff being talked about back with Forza 2 I think.

Many things can influence people sticking with a platform. I know people who play most games especially shooters on the 360 because they hate the duelshock. Also there is the already established friends list that people don't want to split up/ mess with. Then for some it comes down to single words like Halo why they will stick with it.

LOL. Well if it's any consolation, I don't see MS sticking with a $100 price difference. That is going to change. Maybe they'll drop it to $449 or even $399. There has got to be some response.
I don't see how they can change unless they want to eat money. They want Kinect with every system so they have higher costs. The base $399 PS4 won't have their camera system.

no prob. of course plans could change if HBO decides they are tired of waiting for a proper ending....
A producer has said that they don't expect the show to go beyond 7 seasons. If they stick to it then there's gonna be condensing going on and an alternate ending cause there's not a chance Martin finishes in the next 4 years.

I have to say that I find the Twitter messages of the "we're listening" type very encouraging though (this was from the DRM campaign). I have a hard time imagining Sony representatives posting such supportive messages if they were about to give us bad news.
I have a hard time believing MS would agree to this used game system(that they themselves don't make money on), take all this heat and let Sony have the PS4 run used games like they are now on the current generation. If they did then MS has royally screwed up.

I enjoyed the first one but the second was frankly boring especially when Willis and Arnold were running around. The only good part was Van Damme having fun as the bad guy. The first was a nice fun one off but trying to ruen it into a franchise by adding more old geezers like Seagal is kinda pathetic.

2. Verify that there is no online connection required and a better DRM than Microsoft.
They may not require a constant/updating connection but people hoping the PS4 won't have the same or very similar used game policy are gonna be real disappointed.

Looks like the days of console gamers being able to tout how simple gaming is on consoles compared to the hoops a PC gamer has to jump through are gonna be pretty much over. In fact the Xbox one kinda makes PC gaming look more user friendly in some ways.

You know, I wonder just how they get the deals to put these games on PS+?
Sure, most of them are old and sell on sale for tiny amounts by now, but they're not that old. I guess rather than a burst of cheap sales income, they get constant income from the PS+ subs.
Deus Ex And Saints Row 3 probably weren't hard to get. Both have been on STEAM/Amazon sales for $10 or less already.

I'm a little concerned about Sony because in regards to DRM and used games, Sony's silence so far has been deafening. They have Microsoft in a deathgrip here and all they have to do is squeeze but so far there's been nothing. If Sony wasn't planning to do something to similar MS wouldn't they be tweeting to the heavens right now? I have a very pessimistic feeling right now.
Because in the end its probably going to be a similar system on both consoles. ois just being smart and staying mum until it has to come out.

There's nothing "ahead of the curve" with the WiiU tablet controller. Its a blatant attempt to get in on the tablet/smartphone popularity of the last few years. IMO its another gimmick by Nintendo. They think they can hit lightning in a bottle again like they did with the Wii...not gonna happen.

I agree that Nintendo should have pulled out of the hardware market years ago, and focused on software for the next generation of consoles. Nintendo's handheld market is very strong currently; but I can see that losing ground to smartphones in the coming years since there are far more smartphone users than Nintendo DS users.
when you look at the numbers lately one could say they should stick with handhelds and Sony should stick with consoles. This. They could could make huge bank getting MS and Sony to fight over their core franchises. MS paid what $50 million just for a timed exclusive for GTA DLC? Nintendo is about Mario an Zelda not goofy systems with poor motion controls or a cheap pseudo tablet experience.

I don't how bad this actually is for the system. Seems to me the core of Nintendo's systems have always been their own franchises lie Mario, Zelda, Metroid etc. That seems to me to be what most fans talk about anyways so if they can deliver on them I still see fans buying the system. Now getting to the huge more casual masses the first Wii got too I'd say that doesn't look likely with the WiiU. I see this generation being more like the Gamecube.

Colonial Marines sucked bigtime...so what. Indeed. So what. "So what" because it has nothing to do with the lawsuit. Maybe you should have a look at what this case is actually about, which is showing off a "demo" that it turns out has no relation to the game that is released, hyping up features that would never see the light of day? Again...so what. It was a demo...a preview of an unfinished game. There's is no guarantee that what is shown in some demo months or maybe years before release will ever happen. This is normal and you all know it, or you should. People keep saying that Gearbox knew they couldn't do this. othese people have some taped conversation of Randy literally saying this? No they show a E3 demo then say look at the final game. Its not the same thing man! Sue them! LOlz... So yes this lawsuit is stupid, and a waste of taxpayers money it will cost to litigate it.
