I will check that out later Hark.

From the little I played (just a couple of games) I still much prefer the feel of War Thunder, but, WOWP isn't too bad.
82  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Ghost Recon Online (F2P, 3rd person shooter) on: August 06, 2013, 12:43:03 PM
On the one hand: More friends in a match is good.

On the other hand: More chances of 8 man groups of clans jumping up and down upon various tender bits.

Maybe Crackdown, maybe Dynasty Warriors, maybe get back into some MWO or War Thunder.

Or like last weekend, end up reading and watching videos all weekend.
Or I could play Ghost Recon Online.

In as Jarrodhk.

Starmade, if I can stop watching videos about the game long enough. Dynasty Warriors 8, maybe something else if it grabs my attention.
87  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 7/19/13 on: July 19, 2013, 10:15:51 PM
Dynasty Warriors 8, very fun combat and advancement systems, will be much better when they iron out some of the slowdown on various maps.
88  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (07/15) on: July 16, 2013, 12:59:03 AM
DW8 360, supposedly this version has actual online coop.

Played both versions, the SNES version for a short time, the Genesis version to completion more than once.
91  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Weekend Playlist - 7/05/13 - Independence Day Weekend Edition on: July 05, 2013, 06:24:43 PM
Probably check out the WOT beta on 360 at some point. Try some Injustice: Gods Among Us 360. BL2 360, maybe some Warthunder or MWO.
92  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: World of Tanks...free ww2 tank mmo on: July 04, 2013, 01:25:45 AM
I've got something to download soon.
93  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 6/21/13 on: June 21, 2013, 06:05:09 PM
Borderlands 2 (360), maybe some Dead Island Riptide, Drox Operative... who knows.
94  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Next gen purchase poll on: June 13, 2013, 03:54:58 AM
I follow Kato.
95  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Weekend Playlist - 06/07/13 on: June 10, 2013, 03:42:10 AM
Played a fair bit of Class of Heroes 2. Liking it a good bit, although the insane use of warps and spinners from the start is slightly off putting. Fortunately the automap is pretty good.

Also: Internet resources for maps.
96  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Weekend Playlist - 06/07/13 on: June 08, 2013, 12:42:12 AM
Working Saturday... definitely some Class of Heroes 2, possibly some Distant Worlds, but I don't expect I'll have the time I want to spend on it.

Picked up the Arcen catalog from the indieroyale bundle http://www.indieroyale.com/, mostly for the AI War expansions (all steam keys except the most recent expansion), so I may put some time into that as well.

If I see Kato on may play some Ghost Recon Future Soldiers coop or Castlestorm.
97  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (06/03) on: June 07, 2013, 12:15:04 AM
Pretty sure Class of Heroes 2 is PSP/Vita only.

Distant Worlds, fair bit of CastleStorm  and Ghost Recon Future Soldier with Kato.
100  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (06/03) on: June 04, 2013, 02:37:51 AM
Class of Heroes 2. Had a lot of fun with the first one and makes a good reason to turn on my PSP again.
101  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / XBLA Castlestorm on: June 01, 2013, 09:25:43 PM
Okay, this game came out of nowhere for me.

Having a lot of fun playing the campaign and MP with Kato. You can do versus or coop survival and coop hero survival.

Build your own castle to use during the campaign and MP.
102  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Weekend Playlist - 05/31/13 on: June 01, 2013, 12:03:39 AM
Working and probably some Distant Worlds Shadows. Still trying to get a good pirate start in the latest patch.
103  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: What book/book series do you wish you could read again for the first time? on: May 28, 2013, 11:25:07 PM
I'd like to be able to read the Honor Harrington series by David Weber for the first time.

I enjoy the space opera'ish setting and the character development that happens throughout the series.  Haven't read the last couple of books though, heard less than stellar things.

Also would enjoy reading the War God's Own series fresh. Also by David Weber.

Ended up wasting way too many hours with the latest Distant Worlds expansion, Shadows.

Right there with you. Make sure you have the latest patch, makes pirate buildings as tough as they were always meant to be. Also some other bug fixes.
105  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (05/27) on: May 27, 2013, 06:47:46 PM
I hadn't heard of Castlestorm before, but I am now really interested!

Nier.
I've had this sitting in my backlog for a long time now. Maybe when I finish up FONV I'll try it out. Heard good things before too.

Neir, great game, although once I found out some things by watching Moriarty play, I felt too bad to actually finish the game myself.
107  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 5/24/13 -- Memorial Weekend edition! on: May 24, 2013, 06:35:46 PM
Distant Worlds Shadows, playing a pirate faction is really different and fun.

May check out the latest changes in Warframe, Defiance, Star Drive.

Possibly some time in Dead Island Riptide if Kato is around for coop.
108  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist - 5/17/13 - The Preakness Edition on: May 20, 2013, 05:44:58 PM
Fair bit of Distant Worlds Legends. Couple games with the Picard era mod, started another with the extended mod that adds 38 races or some such.

Can not wait for the new expansion. Being a Pirate (in-game) ahoy!
109  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist - 5/17/13 - The Preakness Edition on: May 18, 2013, 04:38:44 AM
Distant Worlds Legends while waiting for the new expansion to come out.

Maybe something else.

Leviathan Warship appeared in my steam list sooo... that.
112  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 4/26/13 on: April 26, 2013, 05:29:37 PM
Dead Island Riptide and Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen (360) for the most part I expect. May get sucked into a turn-based strat game of some sort though.
113  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PC/360/Ps3] Dead Island Riptide on: April 23, 2013, 06:13:10 PM
So far from my first hour or so of play: If you liked Dead Island, you will like this. (360 version)

Lots of little touches for new things and the combat is just as fun as it was. Using the heavy running kick to knock zombies 30ft or more never gets old.
114  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (04/22) on: April 22, 2013, 09:34:22 PM
Dead Island: Riptide for 360 for sure, if I can swing it DD:DA as well.
115  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PC/360/Ps3] Dead Island Riptide on: April 22, 2013, 09:32:52 PM
After watching Total Biscuit's WTF on this, my concerns are pretty much laid to rest. Coop play with new character/locations/loot/etc. I'm there.
116  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 4/19/13 on: April 19, 2013, 08:22:26 PM
Zigfrak, Defiance, maybe some Eador Genesis or some MP depending on if others are around to play.
117  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Weekend Playlist - 04/12/13 - Tax Day Edition on: April 12, 2013, 06:39:58 PM
Defiance, Star Conflict, Eador: Genesis.

I pay the money solely because the handful of people I do enjoy playing online with prefer the 360.  If not for them, I'd have canceled quite some time ago.

This. Frankly, I went out for dinner and the three of us rang a bill up twice my live account. That was _one_ nice meal.

I'll cancel when I'm done. I wouldn't mind if they told me who was no longer subscribed so I could thin my friends list.

Fairly sure you can tell by the color of their gamertag/card. Silver for silver and gold for gold. It may take a few seconds to load properly of course.

Yep. Laughed quite loudly when I first saw it. Of course my current enjoyment of the game is hampered by whatever issue is causing the client to freeze every time I come back from a mission, losing connection to the host if I'm playing with others.

Hopefully that will get resolved soon.
