Keeping an eye on this. Cautiously optimistic.
42  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Star Conflict on: March 11, 2013, 06:37:39 PM
There is only one scenario at the moment (although it does scale a bit with higher Tiers), it is pretty fun. Can't wait until they expand the scenarios out a bit. The main reason to play them right now is the guaranteed item drop when you win. Which can be a purple (epic) module.

Really enjoying the game, between this, War Thunder, and Birds of Steel (360) I'm really enjoying what Gaijin is making these days.
43  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 3/8/13 on: March 11, 2013, 06:33:56 PM
There was a lot of Star Conflict with Kato. Did a couple fights in War Thunder. Picked up and very briefly played with StarDrive. Lots of potential there.

This is in my wheelhouse.

Very excited about this and Wasteland 2.
46  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 3/8/13 on: March 08, 2013, 07:35:09 PM
MWO, Star Conflict, War Thunder.
47  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Star Conflict on: March 03, 2013, 09:19:39 AM
The Salamanders will rule the mercenary galaxy!

Or die trying.

Probably a lot of dying.
48  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 3/1/2013 on: March 03, 2013, 08:52:32 AM
Add Star Conflict to the list. Having a fair amount of fun playing along with Kato.
49  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 3/1/2013 on: March 01, 2013, 10:05:05 PM
MWO, War Thunder, maybe something random on the 360. Thinking about grabbing the Star Wars tables for Pinball FX2. If I do, that should take care of a big chunk of the weekend.
50  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Let's Find Kato Something To Do! on: February 23, 2013, 10:02:46 AM
I don't know about Kato, but, I think I'll shoot you first, Leo.   eek
51  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 2/22/13 on: February 22, 2013, 07:51:30 PM
War Thunder, MWO, something else.
52  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Mechwarrior Online - reserve your name on: February 18, 2013, 07:29:13 PM
Still get some time in on occasion. Looking forward to the Trrenchbucket and the new map.

Of course right now I'm pretty distracted by War Thunder... sooo...
53  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / War Thunder- WWII (ish) flight F2P on: February 15, 2013, 02:17:14 AM
So this is in open beta at the moment. Onlly has EU and RU servers, but, I've been playing and doing fine from the middle of the US.

Very similar to the World of Tanks model, only with WWII and some early Korean war planes.

http://warthunder.com/

I'm having a blast playing right now. Only rank 5 in the US and 3 in the RU tree, lots of fun so far.

http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSPT1I-KtyUF0iv6Emae0NSZlbkJxsKik Spent a lot of time watching game videos here.

The game has SP missions (that can be played co-op with 3 others as well), 2 campaigns (have to buy them, come with some nice bonuses), mission editor, and a dynamic campaign (co-op'able). All the money/xp you earn doing these is carried over to the regular mp as well.

There are 3 levels of realism for matches. The arcade level is great for just jumping in and having fun. You can use a joystick, however the mouse and keyboard controls are well done.

Eventually they are going to have players manning tanks/vehicles and naval vessels as well in the same missions. Kind of reminds me of the old flight sim that I played on AOL (think it was on Genie as well) in that respect. You could capture bases on the ground, man AA, or fly around and shoot things up.
54  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Neverwinter on: February 12, 2013, 07:28:26 PM
Pretty interested in this after watching Total Biscuit's video.
55  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 2/08/13 on: February 09, 2013, 03:12:24 AM
Mechwarrior in a couple flavors. JA2 1.13, Halo4.
56  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Dungeonland on: January 31, 2013, 02:22:33 AM
Haven't had a chance to play with someone yet, single player is extremely difficult.

Looks to be a lot of fun with a group. Since I couldn't find my wireless adapter I grabbed a wired 360 controller to use with the game, it works great.
57  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Dungeonland on: January 23, 2013, 09:56:47 PM
Arise!

Total Biscuit has put up a video of this with some of his friends. I MUST have this game.  nod

Playing it on 360 with Kato.
59  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (01/21) on: January 22, 2013, 09:58:12 PM
More than likely Conquest: Frontier Wars off of GOG, not new of course smile

Interested in Strike Suit Zero.

Co-op has continued to be a blast, loving the MP a LOT more than I expected to do. Lots of nice touches that make it more enjoyable than cod to me.
61  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 1/18/13 on: January 19, 2013, 05:09:31 AM
Far Cry 3 Co-op with Kato... MWO is having a double xp weekend so probably some of that as well.
62  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PC/360/Ps3]Far Cry 3 impressions. GT review page 3 on: January 18, 2013, 09:31:37 PM
Played the first co-op map with Kato. Lots of fun! Think it supports up to 4 player co-op which would be great.
63  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 1/11/13 on: January 14, 2013, 09:58:04 PM
Anarchy Reigns sp and with Kato.

Hopefully some Far Cry 3 co-op and Borderlands 2 co-op with the new DLC.
64  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Anarchy Reigns on: January 12, 2013, 02:50:54 AM
Holy crazy over the top action fun!
65  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 1/11/13 on: January 11, 2013, 06:20:21 PM
Binary Domain, MWO, random something else, quite possibly Anarchy Reigns since Kato likes it.

Got an attack site warning again just now.

Did just reboot my system for updates, and reopened my old firefox session, so might be a leftover.

Really irritated that the ebook release isn't until April.
68  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 1/4/13 on: January 07, 2013, 06:27:18 PM
Played through and finished Warhammer 40k Kill Team co-op with Kato. Good fun! Played some co-op Flotilla which was also a lot of fun.

Hoping to play some more Allied General (I think that is the name of the WWII card/board game on XBLA) today before having to leave tomorrow.

Oh yeah, maybe another couple rounds of ZombieU MP with Kato...  ninja
69  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Playstation 2 R.I.P. on: January 07, 2013, 06:24:19 PM
While I have a lot of good memories of my PS2 (playing co-op Dynasty Warriors for one), my first one had to constantly be realigned to read disks correctly. So I got a slim version since I figured that it would fix said issues and be more reliable.

Unfortunately less than a month after I got the slim it stopped reading game disks, would read movie dvds, but not games. Sent it in and got it repaired. Less than a month after I got it back the drive started dying completely.

There are a lot of PS2 games I would like to play, but, not buying another PS2, and it just irritates me to think about repairing the one I have again.  icon_smile

Fortunately the hundreds of hours of good times outweigh the frustration.
70  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 1/4/13 on: January 06, 2013, 04:14:26 AM
Played some Nintendoland and ZombieU with Kato.

Some high scores might have become mine.  ninja

Also did a simulated marksmanship run at the Infantry Museum. Some scores were higher than others.  ninja

Got to see and play MWO on a real computer as opposed to my laptop... I really need a new computer.

It does seem wrong to not have the Marines represented there after all these years  ninja
73  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 12/21/12 on: December 22, 2012, 01:42:29 AM
Far Cry 3 co-op, Mechwarrior Online, who knows what else.
74  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [XBLA/PSN] Guardians of Middle-earth on: December 20, 2012, 07:53:19 PM
People, in general, do not like listening to racial slurs, random background noise, screaming babies, etc. All of which is a risk if you play xbox live and leave your mic open.

Which is why I don't play with random people, with my headset anyway.  icon_wink

Also, if you are expecting good coordination from random groups of people on the internet (xbox live or otherwise), um... you are in for a lot of disappointment.  ninja

That isn't to say that you can't get a good group together from a random selection, but it isn't likely in my experience, and if you do then keeping said group together requires using a live party. So, better to start there to begin with smile or play another game.
75  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [XBLA/PSN] Guardians of Middle-earth on: December 15, 2012, 02:26:39 PM
Considering I shouldn't have spent the money for the game to begin with, nope, no season pass.

edit: okay season pass. Shutup.
76  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 12/14/12 on: December 14, 2012, 05:21:14 PM
Eador: Genesis, Far Cry 3, Guardians of Middle Earth, maybe some BLOPS2.
77  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (12/10) on: December 10, 2012, 11:09:39 AM
Since I'm moving, and acquired Guardians of Middle Earth, and Eador: Genesis that I wasn't planning on... nothing.
78  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 12/7/12 on: December 10, 2012, 06:37:30 AM
Played a good amount of Guardians of Middle Earth which is much more fun than I expected, at least when playing with a friend. Played some Warlock Master of the Arcane, which is a really good turn-based fantasy civ style game (especially with the dlcs).

Also got some BO2 in, still fun with a group (especially multi-team), probably won't touch it again if friends aren't playing.
79  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [XBLA/PSN] Guardians of Middle-earth on: December 08, 2012, 07:52:29 PM
It isn't too horrible to pick up. There is a lot of depth with the relics and gems and such. Join a group of us and have fun.

Worst case you can play against bots, alone or with us.
80  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [XBLA/PSN] Guardians of Middle-earth on: December 08, 2012, 12:44:18 PM
I hate you all. I really didn't need to spend that money.  icon_lol
