Enter the Gungeon. Been looking forward to it for quite a while.

Just wish it was on xb1 as well.

Gratch, I don't think Starpoint Gemini 2 is something you need a joystick for.  It plays more like a 3D version of Starfleet Command.

Never played Starfleet Command, but SG2 looked like something that would be perfect for a HOTAS setup.  I even stumbled across a very detailed article on how to set one up properly.  Maybe it's better to stick with keyboard/mouse though?

Give the HOTAS a try first Gratch. Curious to see how it plays with that. Probably helps with immersion if nothing else

I enjoy playing SG2 on the xbox one. Not sure that a joystick would add anything more for myself, but, could be fun.

There is something about the movement/gunplay that just feels 'off' to me personally.

I'm also not a fan of the maps and main game mode. The unlocks and progression haven't grabbed me yet either.

To be fair, I've only played a very little of the game, and most of that in the terrorist hunt mode.

Considering the lack of coop missions other than the terrorist hunts, I don't think this game is for me.

Fallout 4, maybe some MP game if I can pull myself away from Fallout.

Probably Fallout.
5  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Weekend Playlist - 10/30/15 Halloween Edition on: October 31, 2015, 09:32:56 PM
No one on to play MP with, so finished the campaign in Halo 5.

Over all it was a fun ride.

Still prefer Reach and ODST campaigns though.

Now what to play...

8  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Weekend Playlist - 10/16/15 Edition on: October 16, 2015, 05:29:59 PM
Wasteland 2 Directors cut, Destiny, Templar Battleforce, Mechwarrior Online. These are all likely in some combination.
9  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Destiny -Bungie's new game with Activision on: September 18, 2015, 05:27:39 PM
As long as the servers don't have issues, I'm up for more playing smile
10  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Call of Duty: BlOps 3 on: September 01, 2015, 11:39:31 PM
I played a couple hours of the beta.

It felt like COD with Titanfall movement.

I'm looking forward to playing the campaign and the zombies mode.
11  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Weekend playlist - 8/14 edition on: August 14, 2015, 05:35:33 PM
Steredenn on PC, Toy Soldiers on XB1, maybe jump into some BF4 on the xb1.

12  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: HBS Studios Battletech Game going Kickstarter Fall 2015 on: July 29, 2015, 05:33:33 PM
Sounds like the concept is exactly what I've been wanting in a Battletech game for quite a while now.

As long as they don't say 'multiplayer only'.
13  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (7/28) on: July 27, 2015, 05:29:08 AM
Colonial Conquest on PC.

I'm sure it won't live up to the nostalgia, but I expect I'll get some enjoyment out of it as long as they didn't change things too much updating it.
14  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Weekend Playlist - 7/24/15 Edition - Avoid Pixel at all cost edition on: July 26, 2015, 01:19:38 AM
Victor Vran on the pc so far. Very fun ARPG.
15  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [Kickstarter]Bard's Tale IV - InXile at it again on: July 12, 2015, 04:32:55 PM
Very happy to see a new Bard's Tale (that is not an action RPG).

Now I would really like to see a new/remake of Wizard's Crown.  I have a feeling the audience size is even smaller for this however.
16  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: (XB1)Anyone else playing Elite? on: June 23, 2015, 01:05:57 PM
Having fun with it here and there. Would be playing a lot more if they had Wings implemented.

XB1 - Bladestorm: Nightmare, FF Type 0, and Hardline if it ever arrives from Microsoft

PC - Warframe

How is Bladestorm: Nightmare?

It is very good I think.

They added online coop play to the game, along with the stationing mechanic for custom mercenaries that allows you to get some good gear and lots of SP to level your units.

Once you progress far enough in either campaign, you can form an 'army' of up to 4 units at the same time.  This adds some interesting dynamics to the gameplay.

Plus of course fighting with and against fantasy units.

Kato and I have had a lot of fun with the game so far.
19  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Weekend Playlist - 03/20/15 - The 'Where the heck is everybody?' Edition on: March 21, 2015, 06:43:26 AM
Bladestorm: Nightmare, Hardline, Starcrawlers, Heroes of Steel RPG.

Probably something else from the steam list.
20  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PC/360/XB1]Respawn's Titanfall on: March 12, 2015, 02:43:10 AM
The coop horde mode should have been part of the original release of the game. Along with some sort of single-player.

The MP was fun for a while, but lacked any kind of added weapons/titans/gadgets.

The coop was/is a lot of fun.
21  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Help/Advice for amateur fighting on: February 26, 2015, 07:44:50 PM
Well Kato, if your opponent is right handed... hit that arm as hard as possible.

If he is left handed... hit that arm as hard as possible.

Win-win!  I fail to see any problems here.   ninja

Destiny, gotta check out Starpoint Gemini 2 now that it has hit 1.0, couple other things I may look at depending.

Maybe it will have a vita version.

Liked the look of the game, and 8 dollars isn't too bad so I pre-ordered.

I'm kind of glad that the game isn't up yet digitally.

Otherwise I would have to have a sudden illness or family emergency.

Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate (we need more words in this title), D3, EDF portable.

Probably some other game that I haven't even heard of yet based on previous weekends.

I'm loving the X52 so far. A lot of reviews up in the net for this product have stated that sometimes their X52 arrived broken or not working as intended. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones because everything works great so far.
First impressions is the I'm overwhelmed. I can pretty much map everything on this joystick in Elite.
Here is a quick breakdown on the layout of the x52
http://www.saitek.com/manuals/x52_manual.pdf

While the joystick isn't that heavy, it came with rubber suction cups to install on the joystick and throttle to keep the x52 from moving all over the place.

The only other Hotas setup I had was an old thrust master I used to own a few years ago and the x52 definitely measures up

Will post more later, need more time playing smile

Look Kato, I just bought a Thrustmaster 16000m. Don't go talking me into a hotas.

too much money at Gencon I'm sure

Instead of going all the way Gencon you can probably just go to any nearby bank and buy money at a pretty standard 1:1 rate.

Did you just call him Gencon?

This. mostly on the Battletech Pods I expect.

If you see a pilot named Ted Baxter getting repeatedly slaughtered by his own hands, that will be me.

Kato and Hark and I will no doubt be playing a fair bit. Look for: Kato, Jarrodhk, Harkonis.  I know I know... we are very original smile

The Red Solstice - PC

Probably some Dawn of War 2 campaign

Tell us how Red Solstice is please.  I've heard good things, but I'd rather get it from somebody I trust.  smile

It is buggy, but very fun!
