Distant Worlds Legends while waiting for the new expansion to come out.

Maybe something else.
2  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [360/PS3] Earth Defense Force 2025 on: May 10, 2013, 07:41:11 PM
Shooting giant insects and listening to Kato go berserk on the giant spiders? IN!
3  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (04/29) on: April 29, 2013, 11:29:00 PM
Leviathan Warship appeared in my steam list sooo... that.
4  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 4/26/13 on: April 26, 2013, 05:29:37 PM
Dead Island Riptide and Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen (360) for the most part I expect. May get sucked into a turn-based strat game of some sort though.
5  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PC/360/Ps3] Dead Island Riptide on: April 23, 2013, 06:13:10 PM
So far from my first hour or so of play: If you liked Dead Island, you will like this. (360 version)

Lots of little touches for new things and the combat is just as fun as it was. Using the heavy running kick to knock zombies 30ft or more never gets old.
6  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (04/22) on: April 22, 2013, 09:34:22 PM
Dead Island: Riptide for 360 for sure, if I can swing it DD:DA as well.
7  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PC/360/Ps3] Dead Island Riptide on: April 22, 2013, 09:32:52 PM
After watching Total Biscuit's WTF on this, my concerns are pretty much laid to rest. Coop play with new character/locations/loot/etc. I'm there.
8  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 4/19/13 on: April 19, 2013, 08:22:26 PM
Zigfrak, Defiance, maybe some Eador Genesis or some MP depending on if others are around to play.
9  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Weekend Playlist - 04/12/13 - Tax Day Edition on: April 12, 2013, 06:39:58 PM
Defiance, Star Conflict, Eador: Genesis.

I pay the money solely because the handful of people I do enjoy playing online with prefer the 360.  If not for them, I'd have canceled quite some time ago.

This. Frankly, I went out for dinner and the three of us rang a bill up twice my live account. That was _one_ nice meal.

I'll cancel when I'm done. I wouldn't mind if they told me who was no longer subscribed so I could thin my friends list.

Fairly sure you can tell by the color of their gamertag/card. Silver for silver and gold for gold. It may take a few seconds to load properly of course.
11  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: War Thunder- WWII (ish) flight F2P on: April 01, 2013, 08:30:51 PM
Now has US servers.

Also, one of the better April Fools jokes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSRQ6suu9nw

Fear the Ponies.
12  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warframe on: March 29, 2013, 08:48:55 PM
Yep. Laughed quite loudly when I first saw it. Of course my current enjoyment of the game is hampered by whatever issue is causing the client to freeze every time I come back from a mission, losing connection to the host if I'm playing with others.

Hopefully that will get resolved soon.
13  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PS3/360/PC]Battlefield 4 on: March 27, 2013, 10:37:52 PM
Yeah, Bad Company 1's SP campaign was the best of them so far. Here's the objective, here's a big map... have fun!

Looking forward to BF4, I have spent a lot of time with BF3, and would spend more if other people still played it on 360. As it is I pop in from time to time to play.

Of course I actually enjoyed the new Medal of Honor as well (again would play a lot more mp if others played *stares at Kato*) which means I should be playing the 360 version of the BF4 beta, which I expect to be much less impressive than the pc and next gen version.
14  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warface, because we don't have enough games to play on: March 26, 2013, 05:39:16 PM
My first impression so far is: Meh.

May change later.
15  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 3/22/13 on: March 23, 2013, 09:01:18 AM
My playtime this weekend may be altered to: Playing Defiance... logging into the other games for daily rewards, playing Defiance.

Oh, and maybe checking out the new arcade that just opened in town. Trying to revive the arcade that I (mis)spent a lot of my high school days (and money) at.
16  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 3/22/13 on: March 22, 2013, 06:58:42 PM
Defiance beta, Warframe, MWO, who knows.
17  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warframe on: March 20, 2013, 08:40:30 PM
Running around with Kato using the bow was a lot of fun.
18  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warframe on: March 19, 2013, 05:10:25 AM
Wish I could have been there... am around for some late night if anyone is on... or I'll go to bed and play more tomorrow smile
19  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warframe on: March 18, 2013, 08:31:26 PM
S'ok Forge, looks like they put up the new update with massive changes today. One change is not being able to update the game to play smile
20  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Battlefield 4 on: March 18, 2013, 08:24:31 PM
Most likely in. On 360 since I doubt I'll have a pc capable of running BF4 by the time it comes out...
21  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warframe on: March 18, 2013, 07:28:22 PM
No worries Forge, we can play through the missions you haven't done yet.
22  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 3/15/13 on: March 15, 2013, 08:14:32 PM
MWO, Star Conflict, Star Drive, maybe War Frame, and Torchlight 2.

Of course it is also the birthday weekend of my SO, so that will take some time.  icon_smile

Congrats and condolences on your upcoming retirement Lee. I start school in April using my G.I. bill for the first time, and I'm probably going to be the oldest dude in the class slywink

Out processing is a pain, but I do like that most if the briefs will be very informative to make the transition easier. Did you clear CIF yet? That place is the devil's warehouse.

You will probably be surprised by how many classes you Aren't the oldest dude in the class. smile Probably will be for the most basic courses, but, when I went back to school in 2003 most of my classes had at least a couple people older than myself.

Just look at it as an opportunity to share your real life experience with the other students.
25  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [360/PC/Wii U/Ps3] Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on: March 12, 2013, 08:08:00 PM
I had fun with the game, but, I have always preferred the Battlefield series. For that matter I prefer Medal of Honor to COD these days. Sadly my tastes are not shared.  icon_cry

Not too mention Star Conflict, MWO, and War Thunder taking most of my gaming time these days.
26  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Defiance (formerly One Earth) on: March 12, 2013, 07:57:55 AM
Keeping an eye on this. Cautiously optimistic.
27  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Star Conflict on: March 11, 2013, 06:37:39 PM
There is only one scenario at the moment (although it does scale a bit with higher Tiers), it is pretty fun. Can't wait until they expand the scenarios out a bit. The main reason to play them right now is the guaranteed item drop when you win. Which can be a purple (epic) module.

Really enjoying the game, between this, War Thunder, and Birds of Steel (360) I'm really enjoying what Gaijin is making these days.
28  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 3/8/13 on: March 11, 2013, 06:33:56 PM
There was a lot of Star Conflict with Kato. Did a couple fights in War Thunder. Picked up and very briefly played with StarDrive. Lots of potential there.

This is in my wheelhouse.

Very excited about this and Wasteland 2.
31  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 3/8/13 on: March 08, 2013, 07:35:09 PM
MWO, Star Conflict, War Thunder.

The Salamanders will rule the mercenary galaxy!

Or die trying.

Probably a lot of dying.
33  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 3/1/2013 on: March 03, 2013, 08:52:32 AM
Add Star Conflict to the list. Having a fair amount of fun playing along with Kato.
34  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 3/1/2013 on: March 01, 2013, 10:05:05 PM
MWO, War Thunder, maybe something random on the 360. Thinking about grabbing the Star Wars tables for Pinball FX2. If I do, that should take care of a big chunk of the weekend.
35  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Let's Find Kato Something To Do! on: February 23, 2013, 10:02:46 AM
I don't know about Kato, but, I think I'll shoot you first, Leo.   eek
36  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 2/22/13 on: February 22, 2013, 07:51:30 PM
War Thunder, MWO, something else.
37  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Mechwarrior Online - reserve your name on: February 18, 2013, 07:29:13 PM
Still get some time in on occasion. Looking forward to the Trrenchbucket and the new map.

Of course right now I'm pretty distracted by War Thunder... sooo...
38  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / War Thunder- WWII (ish) flight F2P on: February 15, 2013, 02:17:14 AM
So this is in open beta at the moment. Onlly has EU and RU servers, but, I've been playing and doing fine from the middle of the US.

Very similar to the World of Tanks model, only with WWII and some early Korean war planes.

http://warthunder.com/

I'm having a blast playing right now. Only rank 5 in the US and 3 in the RU tree, lots of fun so far.

http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSPT1I-KtyUF0iv6Emae0NSZlbkJxsKik Spent a lot of time watching game videos here.

The game has SP missions (that can be played co-op with 3 others as well), 2 campaigns (have to buy them, come with some nice bonuses), mission editor, and a dynamic campaign (co-op'able). All the money/xp you earn doing these is carried over to the regular mp as well.

There are 3 levels of realism for matches. The arcade level is great for just jumping in and having fun. You can use a joystick, however the mouse and keyboard controls are well done.

Eventually they are going to have players manning tanks/vehicles and naval vessels as well in the same missions. Kind of reminds me of the old flight sim that I played on AOL (think it was on Genie as well) in that respect. You could capture bases on the ground, man AA, or fly around and shoot things up.

Mechwarrior in a couple flavors. JA2 1.13, Halo4.
