So far from my first hour or so of play: If you liked Dead Island, you will like this. (360 version)
Lots of little touches for new things and the combat is just as fun as it was. Using the heavy running kick to knock zombies 30ft or more never gets old.

I pay the money solely because the handful of people I do enjoy playing online with prefer the 360. If not for them, I'd have canceled quite some time ago.
This. Frankly, I went out for dinner and the three of us rang a bill up twice my live account. That was _one_ nice meal. I'll cancel when I'm done. I wouldn't mind if they told me who was no longer subscribed so I could thin my friends list. Fairly sure you can tell by the color of their gamertag/card. Silver for silver and gold for gold. It may take a few seconds to load properly of course.

Yep. Laughed quite loudly when I first saw it. Of course my current enjoyment of the game is hampered by whatever issue is causing the client to freeze every time I come back from a mission, losing connection to the host if I'm playing with others.
Hopefully that will get resolved soon.

Yeah, Bad Company 1's SP campaign was the best of them so far. Here's the objective, here's a big map... have fun!
Looking forward to BF4, I have spent a lot of time with BF3, and would spend more if other people still played it on 360. As it is I pop in from time to time to play.
Of course I actually enjoyed the new Medal of Honor as well (again would play a lot more mp if others played *stares at Kato*) which means I should be playing the 360 version of the BF4 beta, which I expect to be much less impressive than the pc and next gen version.

My playtime this weekend may be altered to: Playing Defiance... logging into the other games for daily rewards, playing Defiance.
Oh, and maybe checking out the new arcade that just opened in town. Trying to revive the arcade that I (mis)spent a lot of my high school days (and money) at.

Congrats and condolences on your upcoming retirement Lee. I start school in April using my G.I. bill for the first time, and I'm probably going to be the oldest dude in the class Out processing is a pain, but I do like that most if the briefs will be very informative to make the transition easier. Did you clear CIF yet? That place is the devil's warehouse. You will probably be surprised by how many classes you Aren't the oldest dude in the class. Probably will be for the most basic courses, but, when I went back to school in 2003 most of my classes had at least a couple people older than myself. Just look at it as an opportunity to share your real life experience with the other students.

I had fun with the game, but, I have always preferred the Battlefield series. For that matter I prefer Medal of Honor to COD these days. Sadly my tastes are not shared. Not too mention Star Conflict, MWO, and War Thunder taking most of my gaming time these days.

There is only one scenario at the moment (although it does scale a bit with higher Tiers), it is pretty fun. Can't wait until they expand the scenarios out a bit. The main reason to play them right now is the guaranteed item drop when you win. Which can be a purple (epic) module.
Really enjoying the game, between this, War Thunder, and Birds of Steel (360) I'm really enjoying what Gaijin is making these days.

Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / War Thunder- WWII (ish) flight F2P

So this is in open beta at the moment. Onlly has EU and RU servers, but, I've been playing and doing fine from the middle of the US. Very similar to the World of Tanks model, only with WWII and some early Korean war planes. http://warthunder.com/I'm having a blast playing right now. Only rank 5 in the US and 3 in the RU tree, lots of fun so far. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSPT1I-KtyUF0iv6Emae0NSZlbkJxsKik Spent a lot of time watching game videos here. The game has SP missions (that can be played co-op with 3 others as well), 2 campaigns (have to buy them, come with some nice bonuses), mission editor, and a dynamic campaign (co-op'able). All the money/xp you earn doing these is carried over to the regular mp as well. There are 3 levels of realism for matches. The arcade level is great for just jumping in and having fun. You can use a joystick, however the mouse and keyboard controls are well done. Eventually they are going to have players manning tanks/vehicles and naval vessels as well in the same missions. Kind of reminds me of the old flight sim that I played on AOL (think it was on Genie as well) in that respect. You could capture bases on the ground, man AA, or fly around and shoot things up.
