I noticed this on EBGames front page so I clicked on it to see the buzz. I know the reviews are generally from 12-year olds (and there are plenty of those), but some of them were really helpful. But I got a chuckle out of this one: WAXIN IT Since I bought this game my right forearm is busting out... I really recommend it for anyone going for a pop-eye the sailor look. Its a little unbalanced though cause it seems to only get your right arm moving over an over in the same motion... Maybe I'm doing it wrong... I'm still thinking of picking this one up for my core exercises.

They took care of one of my reservations, but unless they up the battery life I'm not buying at launch. I'm sure they'll come out with the good battery in a year or so after launch and get to rake in another $50+ from most users.

I have the Logitech Wireless controller and, no sir, I don't like it. The thumbsticks are loose and the d-pad is even more so. Also, the triggers are in an odd position. The whole thing just feels cheap and too lightweight to me. The other complaint, which I admit doesn't effect most people, is that it's too small. I prefer the original big controller for my man mitts. Most people seem to like the s-controller so I imagine this wouldn't be an issue. All that said, I have one up for trade/sale if you'd like to snag it. Awesome exclusives: Project Gotham Racing 2 (better than Burnout 3 IMHO) Burnout 3 (fun but frustrating and dependent on luck) Crimson Skies Fable Gladius MechAssault (sequel is out soon) Rainbow 6 III (different feel from the PC, still excellent though) ESPN sports games are all $20 if you're interested in Hockey, Football or Basketball. Ones you may have played on the PC: Halo Prince of Persia KOTOR Full Spectrum Warrior Splinter Cell / Pandora Tomorrow

Maybe Halo 2 will change that trend. Or maybe it'll be a muddy, blurry mess of a generic, boring shooter like the first one. Are you F#$%ing kidding me ???? !!!! You apparently don't know the lovable, squeezable curmudgeon LE. For perspective, he also thinks KOTOR was a sh*t game as well (no that's not a mistake). Remember, it's just an opinion.

Jerry Bruckenheimer produces so many movies that you get the good (Pirates, The Rock, Black Hawk Down, etc) with the shit (Armageddon, Kangaroo Jack, Pearl Harbor, etc). In my book he averages out and I never know if I'm going to luck what he produced. Then again you can usually tell by the director, and the same guy that directed The Mummy is doing National Treasure so prepare yourself accordingly. Sure he makes lots of money, but so did Barney.

With my Redbirds down 2-0 in the series this helped lift my spirits: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/writers/pete_mcentegart/10/25/ten.spot/index.html 3. Dizzy Dean (1930, 32-37) When the 19-year-old Dizzy made his first start in 1930, St. Louis mayor Victor Miller asked manager Gabby Street if the phenom was as good as people said. "I think he's going to be a great one, Mr. Mayor," Street said. "But I'm afraid we'll never know from one minute to the next what he's going to do or say." True. Dean once walked into the Giants clubhouse before a game to tell his opponents how he intended to pitch to them, then threw a shutout. <snip>

I wouldn't want to change the PGR series because it's great at what it focuses on - just racing. But if a game came out for the X-Box that had teaking and PGR's quality I'd pick it up too. Personally I never got used to the PS2 controller and subsequently had a lot of difficulty with this game. I think it was just too small for my mitts.

My brother is coming in town tonight and I'm really looking forward to hanging out with him. He has to leave tomorrow evening but it is their 10th anniversary so I forgive him. There's a wine festival Saturday here in Addison that I'll probably go to after I drop him off. But Sunday will be spent mostly getting my game on! I just started my Burnout 3 addiction and Second Sight came in the mail yesterday.

I think he looks promising. He's got the square jaw and the hair at least. I'm glad that they cast an unknown too. Brendan Frasier would have been a very poor choice. Besides Singer is directing so I have confidence he'll make the right decisions.

Nice and congrats! Getting a new car is always a rush. I'm not a Mustang man (except Elenor), but I do like the new design. The last one I thought was the 2nd worst only to the 80s models (one of which I had in high school). Now you just need to get it painted a good color. Kidding of course, yellow is one of those love/hate colors. What are the specs on it? Did they up the engine for the redesign?

As a life long Cardinals fan allow me to add: Yaaaaaayyy! I don't even know if I can watch the game tomorrow night as I'll be so nervous. Either way I'll be glad knowing a deserving team is in the series competing against a team who truly showed their mettle. A team going for the history books for a second time in the offseason. I admit that I had lost my interest in baseball about 10 years ago. I pretty much wrote off following even the Rangers during the salary disputes. Not even the home run derby between Sosa and Maguire brought me back. But watching this series has me feeling like I did when I was 8 years old and used to listen to every Cardinals game on the radio if it wasn't on TV. What a playoff season!

If you've got the cash then go for it. The new video slots will be coming in to their own soon, but probably not soon enough for HL2. Then again there's always something better around the corner. I have no idea if xp is better for games, but I haven't heard good things compared to win2000. I don't understand this statement. Where ever it is you heard this from you should never trust them again. Not that Win2000 isn't a good OS, but XP with SP2 runs great and is compatible with a much wider range of hardware. It's essentially 2000 on steroids as they are based on the same kernal.

I need to snag the demo, but I will be playing it on X-Box. The worst part of the first game was the camera. To be nice it was not very good. In the middle of combat it would swoop around to an angle where half the screen is now blocked by a leaf or something. In addition the move I was about to pull off now throws me in an entirely new direction as the controls were relative to the camera angle. Now my dreams of a tuck roll to the side and eviscerating a baddy are replaced by a litany of stab wounds. I did enjoy SoT and fortunately I've read that they have indeed put some work in to the camera.

Hellboy is definitely better and even somewhat re-watchable for me. The good guys were great, but the bad monsters were not very well done. He fought the same monster 3 or 4 times. And the last one was really disappointing both in design and the fight sequence.

Seriously, how do you guys define mess? I don't see a single goddamn thing out of place in Fireball or Jancelot's rooms, and most of the others only have a couple things on the desk, which I consider normal and not messy at all. Heh. Just turn your head to the left and...oh, wait, it's a pic, doh. Most of the mess is behind me I suppose. But I'm also pretty anal when it comes to organization and cleanliness (next to godliness, you know) so I'm sure my standards are out of whack with the norm.

Good points. Although SP2 is a good step in the right direction, Microsoft still does have a ways to go. The admin account is definitely an area they need to shore up. At a recent SQL dev summit I attended they consistantly hammered on the point of disabling the default admin account on all machines and especially servers. This years version of SQL Server now ships without the default account not given all permissions. If I had an extra pile of money right now I'd definitely buy a Mac for my office and turn my Windows machine in to a server.

It was just too intense as well. Very little story and all action. Now I'm a manly-man and like my blow 'em ups, but this one wore me out. Very cool effects, but it needed some moderation. I did like the Frankenstein's monster design though.
