I`m still REALLY liking this game. I`ve been busy though, and the wife and I are  playing on the weekends. Best game in a long time for me. Super original, and it just gets WAY better as it goes. We`re only about 5 hours in, but wow, just wow. The art direction in this game is crazy . A few beverages go a long way with us and this game. The action is easy to get into, but there`s enough to be deep enough for this game. You`re ALWAYS doing new things. Great game. I must go sleep. Night.

You should LOVE that card. It`s a monster .

Ick, I hate these threads, but I still post... :wink: . I have both and love both, in fact I just charged both so tomarrow night the wife and I can play both. Both, both, both, both, both. They are each unique in their own way. I`m starting to wonder why people are so "into" bashing other brands etc. I like both because are both good products. Not for any other reason. In fact, that`s all I`m saying. I`m done repeating myself everytime there`s one of these threads. :wink:

This game is absolutely outstanding. I`ve only played about an hour so far, but wow. The graphics aren`t the best tech out there, but it is nice and the art design is this game is REALLY good. Probably the most original I`ve ever seen in a game. I`m going to play with the wife some late tonight and I can`t wait to see what happens next in this crazy game. Anywho, it`s a great game from what I`ve seen so far. The controls seems good, the sound is just as good as the video!, the gameplay rocks, and it`s funny as hell to me. BTW, didn`t the same guy make maniac mansion back in the day? That was a great game. Just curious.

If defrag takes long, then you NEED to do it. I run it a few times a month depending on how active my pc has been recently.

I`m trading some crap in tomarrow I think for this one. I`ll post impressions. So far though, everyone seems to love it.

I have a 1.8 ghz, 40gb hdd, geforce 3ti 200 64mb card, sblive, 768 ddr mb etc. I`m debating getting rid of or keeping it. What are you willing to play. I was talking to someone else from here, and I still have to get back to him, but I think he found something else. Not sure though. It`s a dell.

I don`t like the name, but I really don`t care about it *that* much. Backward compatibility would be nice, and I`m sure I`d ditch the old xbox and just use this new one, but I`ll be fine either way. I definately like HD games, and more Live! features etc. I think(other than the name maybe) that they are headed in the right direction, that`s for sure.

That`s the same here. Not a really bad cold,but just enough to slow me down and I get NOTHING done. Well, I play lots of games...maybe colds aren`t so...nevermind :wink: . I`m taking tylenol cold and I`m buzzed up all the time. Even without medicine I feel buzzed up when I have a cold. I *think* I`m getting a bit better though, hopefully this will be over soon.

I`m going to have to disagree with you on one thing. I know alot of people don`t agree with me, but I think wipeout pure has lots of replay. I just find it simply LOTS of fun. The zone mode, single races, 4 and 8 race tournaments. There`s a lot there for me at least. I`m not saying they`re wrong, I`m just saying not everyone is thinking like that, that`s all :wink: .

 That dude you said it must be screwy in the head. I`m a gamer. I have a highend pc, a xbox, a gamecube, a ds, and a psp. I`m not a jaded jerk. I do like wacky sometimes, and I do like unique sometimes, don`t we all? If things are NOT different and they are all the same, people complain. If things are different people still complain.

I`ve been playing this on xbox, so I can`t comment on the pc version specifically, but I think the content is the same. I`ve very, very impressed by this game so far, in every way.

BTW, red storm has NOTHING to do with this or the other splinter cells. Or rainbow six xbox I believe. I think they made ghost recon 1 and 2 though.
 And I wouldn`t let the gamespot review sway your opinion, this game is simply alot better than the other splinter cells.

That's not counter to the GS review- it says right in it that it has the best multiplayer and single player of all of the Splinter Cells.

 I guess my point is that IMO gamespot isn`t giving this game the credit it deserves. I really don`t care what ratings are, I`m not here to bitch about that. But, when I see people say "I`m not getting this one now because of that gamespot review" I want to slap them, or someone :wink: . It is seriously a GREAT game. I`m only on the 3rd mission and it is REALLY impressive.  The single player, co-op, and vs. all rock. I`m not sure since I haven`t beat it yet, but if it keeps going this way...this is going to easily be on of my favorites of all time. Great game.

My honeymoon is still going strong even after a couple system exchanges (one due to my own pickyness, and the other due to a black piece of dust under the center of the screen).

Wipeout is pure gaming bliss on the run.   I can wip out a race in no time flat, and I LOVE the way the PSP just saves where you are when you power off.  I see the downloading potential here too!  

I'm going to skip Tiger Woods in favor of Hot Shots when it comes in May.   I'm renting Lumines to find out what the hype is about, and also plan to rent Untold Legends.

The hardware seems very robust and sexy.   I don't mind at all playing it in public areas because it just looks so sophisticated.    My coworkers even turned their heads at Spider Man 2.

So for I have not an ounce of buyer's remorse, and I'm going to sell my DS to pay for more PSP 'stuff' purchases.   Even if it means putting the money aside for future purchases.

 Not to be a prick :wink: , but I wanted to let you know that if it "saves where you are" you are NOT tunring it off, just putting into sleep mode. I`m a huge fan of wipeout also!

After browsing the thread, I went ahead and opened up Wipeout.  It took me a while to get used to the floatiness, but now that I have a few races under my belt I'm enjoying it.  My only gripe is the lack of any sort of career mode - all there seems to be are single races or 4 track tournies... other than that, the graphics/sound/complete package are very impressive indeed.  I can't wait to try it out multiplayer!

Don't forget the zone mode.  That's quite fun in itself.  Sure, it's a "how many times in a row can I race around the same lap before having all of my energy depleted", but it's fun to start off real slow and easy . . . and by the end just FLY around the track.

 For some reason people aren`t seeing that there are 8 races tournaments also. Good fun.

They don`t mention the crazy amounts of shitty systems out there right now(defects etc.). Sony=lots, Nintendo=lots less. I like both, but that`s the truth.

Bob ross rocked. Great artist. He always made it look SO easy.

Arrgh.  Gretzky just corrupted all of its saved data on me with the exception of my options settings.

So my season is gone.  Rosters are gone.  Gretzky challenge progress is gone.  User statistics are gone.  I tried replacing the previous saved data, and when that didn't work, tried a new data save..again, no dice.

I have no idea why this happened or what triggered it.  I finished up a season game (winning 5-4, and getting my first hat trick), and it just wouldn't save.

But hey, at least it remembered how loud I like to have the menu music :roll:

I was worried that my whole memory stick went bad, but the data for the other games I have (Lumines, Wipeout) is still there and working fine.

While I love this system, I don`t like sony much. Their quality assurance is really low or something. I`m glad I got the warranty or I would be pissed.

I`m also on the 2nd mission,and while I liked the 1st  2 games(yet understood what others didn`t like) this one is WAY better,and just lots of fun.
 Very good graphics(probably best on a console), no kidding about the rain on sam`s suit :shock: , crazy amounts of detail in pretty much everything this game has to offer.
 The physics are alot better too, they behave realistically and are convincing.
 I gave the co-op a quick run last night, but I only did the training since there`s so much other stuff in the game to check out.

Not sure about the pc version, but the xbox version(while lacking 480p support, I think) looks amazing. Best looking console game I have ever seen. There`s a demo for xbox out too if you want to check it out. What resolution were you running the demo at?

my eb is still saying tonight. We`ll see. It all depends on the store.

Yeah, so far my complaints about the psp are:
 
 Expensive games
 And HORRID quality assurance
 
 It`s a great system, it just has some flaws.

Maybe that "I`m hungry and sleepy" excuse isn`t going to cut it anymore... :wink:
