I think it's looks possibly interesting, but will need more trailers.... However, it definately did not need a Battleship license.... They could have called it something else.. (Or maybe even Battleship and remove any references to the game).. Anyway could turn out to be a decent popcorn flic...

I don't know what they paid for the license, but I assure you it was too much!

Fruit in beer is a terrible idea, but it's so subtle that it works here.

As a rule I object to adulterants in beer. Fruit in particular is for children's beers. But there are exceptions. A lemony summer ale cuts the thirst on a 100 degree day. Either Harpoon or Sams did an oyster stout last winter that was surprisingly good -- it was a mineral/saltwater taste, not even remotely fishy. Harpoon was showing a maple wheat last weekend that didn't suck as expected. So I will not dis your raspberry beer without trying it.

The watermelon beers hitting the shelves this summer are universally bad, though.

I already mentioned it and it's not really a " fruit" beer per se, but Festina Peche does rock for it tart goodness. It does contain fermented peaches, but you really don't taste the fruit.

I just bottled  homebrew Berliner Weisse.  Half of the batch went in as is, and the other half spent 2 weeks on some frozen raspberries.  Should be a great thirst quencher those Hot August Nights

Nice! It's definatly a underrated style. You live near me? Cleveland. If so, I'd try your take on the style;).

I disagree, only because he's already done some major restructuring. He laid off 10,000 employees, and is streamlining the business under the "One Sony" strategy. I'm very optimistic for the future, and for the PS4.

To summer. Here we go..

Dogfish head Festina Peche and bells oarsman are both Berliner Weiss. They aren't sour, just tart and damn refreshing. At 4 to 5%, they are great summer companions. A six
Isn't nearly enough;).

Anything founders is good. For summer their all day IPA rocks. 4.7%, once more, less is more... You can literally drink them all day.. Dry finish... Hops galore.

As far as scotch ales go, Can't go wrong with three Floyd's Robert the Bruce. Fucking awesome and that's not really my "style".malty and rich while not overly sweet.

Oberon by bells as well. Not a huge fan, but very well received. American wheat is the style.

Sierra Nevada still has some ruthless rye out in the marketplace. 15.99 a twelve for a kick ass rye IPA rocks!

In 2004 I did a bicycle trip from Dieppe across Normandy.  I went into a bookstore while I was in Brighton and bought a map of the area and I pulled that out of my bag and checked roadsigns to make sure I was going the right direction.  That map was pretty well worn after two weeks.  The idea of my phone telling me exactly where I am and exactly where I'm supposed to go seems pretty crazy compared to just a few years ago (and a lot less fun!)

yeah, GPS is nice until it screws up and sends you in the totally opposite direction of where you need to go, or insists that you need to turn left when turning left will put you into a body of water, or the ever lovely 'turn at this exit' just as you are passing said exit.

Gps is funny that way. " why would I do a u turn here? My location is visibly right there!"... That happens pretty frequently. It's more of a assistant than a tool.

Shucks, the downside is that everyone knows my "schedule now".. icon_lol

I don't know enough to weigh in on a good starting age, but whenever they do happen to be old enough, definitely go in and watch a class and see how the instructors handle things.  I still remember touring a few before I signed up for shotokan karate circa age 8 or 9.  Some places were modest facilities that seemed to have good instructors and atmosphere, others... well...

There was this one place that was all glitz and "oh come on" fakeness.  Totally the Cobra Kai dojo.  While other establishments just showed us the facilities and the class that happened to be in session, the Cobra Kai place had a whole prescripted tour.  We went back to see the "master sensei" who had his own zen-like room where he just sat and meditated all day (or made it look like that's all he did).  Then when we got to the main floor, they had people line up and break planks and cinder blocks for our awe and amazement.  If rolling eye smileys had existed back then, I'd have been tossing them out left and right.

Oooh...ahhhh.... Roll Eyes

Enjoy the game, though. Few things are more satisfying than unloading both barrels of the sawed-off into some guys face in super slow-mo.

I'm also still in possession of the mouse pad. I did recently decide to quit using it as it is falling apart;).

Cage and Keanu are both horrible at fitting into the movie - they stick out like the breakaway section of a wall from 80's cartoons. It's almost the same color, but not enough to not stick out long before. This worked well in The Matrix because he really DIDN'T fit in. Cage could pull that off.

Well, if you don't want to look for another job and you like the place/owner, etc, then you should give the owner a fair chance at fixing it. If they fix it, great. If not, then you should probably look to make a move elsewhere.

1634  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / So I used to run a winery...EDITED. Now funny. on: April 19, 2012, 01:20:40 AM
Okay. Long story short as the title implies I used to run a winery. I didn't sign up for a manager position, not asked if I wanted it, but rather told I was going to be doing such after the last manager quit. Not a knock per se about the owners, quite the opposite. I like the owners alot that's that.

So after a year and a half of not liking my job/ role in the company I sat down with the owner and discussed that I liked my old job alot more... Which was working in a brewery and doing winery work, not babysitting monkeys or employees as others called them. We decided to try and hire someone to fill my role, and I would resume essentially my old job.

So new girl gets hired, all is good to start. She SEEMED really positive and a hard worker, things are looking up... One would think...

At first it was only me that got treated like shit by her.
Example one: I took a vacation day, she told everyone including the owners that I was a no call, no show...
#2: she had a friends father pass away and after I was willing to switch shifts around to cover for her, she told everyone I wouldn't help her out in a time of need....
#3: we get a shifty after, well every shift. It's one of OUR house made beer and wines. NOT the 8 dollar meads from Michigan. She has been told this rule over and over again, yet still gets away with it.
#4: Yells at me for not completing HER work from Saturday on my Monday shift...
#5: can't find coverage for one of our busy days here on derby day and says she will close early bc she has plans... Without asking the owner...instead of you know, doing your manager duties and just working it...

There are many, many, many more instances. And it's not just me now. People are giving up shifts, she can't replace them and the work environment has turned into making people miserable. The owner has been made aware of some stuff, more is to follow...but any advice, other than murder suicide?slywink. I like this company and my job, but not in this situation. I'd rather not look for a new job bc of some dumb bitch ( I said it!), but really turning unhappy with this going on... Any light bulbs popping up?

I just picked up a 32 gb card... Well, a week ago it was. After that big update for escape plan
and my downloadable game fondness. The 4 gb stick was almost full. I knew that would the case, just not so soon. I only bought the 4 gb because it was the only option and I knew I couldn't bring the system home and NOT play a game until the next day...so I should be set on storage now;).

I went through the same thing a little while ago. The 4GB card came with the bundle and I started off using it. Switched it out with a 32GB card later and it didn't work quite the way I thought it would. Did a full backup of the Vita to my PC, swapped cards and then restored the image. I don't recall the exact specifics, I think any games I had on physical media were not shown until I inserted them again, one by one. All trophies were gone, no longer listed. It wasn't until I played (or at least started) each one again that it did two or three things - the 'desktop' icon came back for games on media, it send out a message that I was playing the game "for the first time" again and then any earned trophies showed up again. Lather, rinse, repeat.

I did it through the ps3. It carried everything over. Saves, settings, patches, and yes trophies. It did not put everything as far as icons back in their place. Everything was just thrown on in a wierd order. Also, my trophies didn't appear under "vita" section until I played them again, but they were still under " psn"section of trophies. And no progress of trophies was lost...I would think the pc transfer would do the same...odd...

I started after 1.4 came out.  I've had a small handful of freezes and it will definitely chop if there's a lot going on, but it's been solid mechanically.  Great game, but the PS 'hot key' system sure does suck for a pure spell caster.

Good to hear. I uninstalled it awhile back after reading all the issues with it. So a clean install update etc. would be the case. If I only beat mass effect 2 soon... Then maybe I'll fire up skyrim b4 I play me3!
