Nothing new.

Well, except the fancy new Oculus Rift Dev Kit 2 that just arrived. If anyone needs me, I'll be in VR.

I kinda wanna be in vr.

Yeah I'd agree fps is probably between 50 and 60 the whole time. Sure beats 30 or below. The cutscenes are different at first but I like them at 60. To me at least , not as jarring as a high hrz tv . That looks "fake" to me , where this just looks like a higher fps. Can't wait to play more tonight!

The shooting feels better than any other naughty dog game so far. 60 def makes a huge difference.

Instead of getting adequate sleeping I decided to play WAY too late. I missed the first time around because of my ps4 shitting out. So, far, it's awesome! I really don't wanna give spoilers out, but...

Spoiler for Hiden:
His daughter dies? Wtf?!?

It's just gets better the more I play it. Challenging, great graphics and audio, script , acting, all good. Beyond good for sure.

Edit: please change the thread name to include the ps4 version, I feel like I'm misbehaving.

Congrats! Awesome system so far and I never played TLOU, but I'm about to here shortly tonight! Btw, are you a late night gamer by chance?

No impressions thus far gentlemen? Tisk, tisk. I'm about to fire up the ps4 and check it out. If I don't play too late... I'll chime in.

Picking this before work then get to play it 10 hrs later ! icon_mad Almost downloaded it and then in turn would just use that credit for destiny but thought about the fact that after it downloaded I'd only have a hr or so w it. I am being patient.

It'll work out in the end. I'm still waiting for "the end", but I'm sure it will. nod

For a good low cal version, I use plain yogurt but add banana and mandarin oranges from the can-- let a little of the light syrup they're soaking in seep into your bowl for a little more sweetness.

Yum.

Thx guys! Yeah it's a old 60's home that's been gutted and completely redone. Small , but we aren't having kids so not a concern. Granite countertops, new cabinets, stainless appliances that are mostly all staying. New roof, windows, driveway and lots of other new stuff . Nice yard/ garden, but not huge so maintaining it shouldn't be a huge effort. Just have to gate the fence at the driveway then the dogs will have a cool spot. Home inspection is scheduled for the following Monday, same for appraisal. The ball is rolling! I'll enjoy the last of us this week cuz I won't have a lot of free time for a month or two...

When I moved from Boston to Albuquerque, I had an initial culture shock adjustment period to the different level of public friendliness between strangers.  The level of inquisitiveness and smalltalk you get from, say, a grocery bagger in ABQ, is just alien weirdo bizarre in Boston culture.  What does this person want?!  Why are they so curious how I'm going to cook these steaks?  Should I hand over my wallet?!

So I guess if I imagine that there was a single fast food place in Boston that featured ABQ levels of aggressive smalltalk, I might be a little weirded out by that friendliness.  That's about as far as I can relate to ya, Harpua.  All in all, "you're making people be nicer to each other!" is hardly a damning criticism.

I wish it felt they were being nice, which probably is their goal,  not trying to work as gods minions and creep me out.

reinstall - If you play on the 26th you'll get a badge/emblem when the game goes live, but you will only get it if you play this Saturday

Can't play Saturday, hence the uninstall.

I also fail to see how this has anything to do with religion.

But I do get the part about not liking it when people are creepily overly polite or enthusiastic. I walked into a McDonalds once and everyone behind the counter turned at once and yelled out "Welcome!" and "Hello!", etc. It really upset me because I felt like I was suddenly being thrust into the center of attention. I turned and walked out.

Never had that experience at a Chick Fil A, though. Admittedly, I don't go there very often.

I might very well be a Debbie downer...but, due to the atmosphere set by the local religious presence, the over the TOP odd behavior shown by the employees, it's comes off super fucking creepy. The whole they hate gays things doesn't help either.

My problem is strictly alcohol, cigarette, and mostly food related... We just ate dinner and for the first time ever I stopped eating when I was full. Imagine that! I always used to eat until the food was gone... I'm 6 ft and 160 lbs and eat like I've been starved my whole life. Oh first world problems.
25  Non-Gaming / Political / Religious Nonsense / Re: Chic fil a and their overly religious behavior. on: July 21, 2014, 04:03:25 PM
Okay fools I clearly am bad with explaining this. They are just plain old creepy. I don't need a side of "Jesus" with my sandwich. Period. Even my wife, who almost never complains, says he same thing . She stopped saying "thank you", because the conversation would go like this. "Thank you", "My pleasure, my pleasure, my pleasure, my pleasure". If you don't say thank you, the following doesn't happen in spades. She even filled out a comment card stating "enough with crazy amounts of MY PLEASURE!".

It just feels like Jesus meets twin peaks is the best way to describe it...

The location by me is so freaking bizarre and they are getting to me. Everytime I say thanks, they say, "my pleasure". Like over and over and over again. I go through the drivethru one day and see a person outside taking orders. So I say oh the microphone or something must be broke, just making small talk. Her response was that they want to serve me better to make sure that I'm pleased. Overboard. I just want my sandwich ! There's always local church members in there for what I believe is hrs talking to the managers etc. Most of the time it's just comical, but sometimes it's way too much. When they ask what I'm doing on said day and I say just running errands or what have you, please don't further nag me for details! I want a sandwich, give me that sandwich! Rant over.

Has anyone around here had a problem with acid reflux ? I'm
assuming the answer is yes. How bad though? I literally threw up 4 times this morning due to it. I never had it until 5 yrs or so ago, never. I only get it here and there usually, not bad right? Then about 2 times a year I get it bad. I'm working on stopping smoking which I know would help numerous things just not this. Also, cutting back on alcohol is in the works. I'm going to start keeping a journal of what I eat and when it flares up. Any other ideas? Seriously this sucks.
