Interesting mechanic at work in multiplayer....
initially you can only host 4 player games, then as time goes by and you host more and more games the game automatically raises your limit based on the latency it experienced at the lower settings. Max is 12 player games.

cross posted from 'another site'
I'm not good at the whole review type thing, especially when I'm in a hurry to get back to playing
So far the game seems pretty well done, aiming is a bit off but not so much that it gets you hurt really, just feels a bit off.
The humor is over the top and I'm loving it... 'come in to Freckle Bitches and get fisted! You can't beat our meat. Just don't put it all in your mouth at the same time or you might hurt yourself. We'll help you if you want.' funny immature humor and I'm diggin it.
Driving took me a lot longer to get used to than expected, it seems like the actual driving controls are a bit looser than GTA but the ragdolls more than make up for it imo.
Lots to do in game from insurance fraud, drug deals, pimping, robbery, you can smoke a blunt and drink a 40 then try to drive while everything is fuzzy and shifting on ya.
Having a blast and looking forward to online play which I'm sure has a lot of potential.
More later yo

I had the same issue with the pad, so I bought the arcade stick.
edit: This is not a direct port of the arcade version, I play that on MAME and this one is closer to the sega version imo.

getting horrible reviews but they all seem to mention it's the same gameplay and the only reason for the bad review is the new artistic style. I loved me some Bomberman and if it plays the same I'd be interested. I can't see giving a game a 4 out of 10 solely because you don't like the direction the art went though.

Game was all sorts of buggy on me. At one point it switched my view to behind another players car. Then his car dropped through the ground and kept flashing above and below the ground.

I like HDR in concept, but sadly in online games it's pointless to use it because the enemy will just turn it off and can see you just fine while you're eyes are adjusting. Games need to either have it permanently on or not even in the game

I'm very much against the weighing yourself daily thing because your weight will naturally fluctuate up and down and seeing it go up (or not down 'enough') can really be a frustration. Just throwing that out there edit: not to mention you can lose a lot of weight in one extended bowel movement. lol

the problem with the tv approach is several games have unreadable (or nearly unreadable) text on anything other than HDTV or VGA. No matter how big you make it some games are very difficult to play without the added resolutions.
I think 3-5 feet away would work fine, you could definitely kick back and play. But I'd say 7-8 feet is probably pushing it for the monitor.

Only thing I like about the Microsoft model is the theory that if you screw up or around, they can ban your account and you're out actual money. This helps to deter people from intentionally being dickheads online. It's only a theory though because they rarely act on complaints it seems.
Hell, I played a guy named corpseFKR last night. Glad I don't have kids on LIVE heh
(funny thing was when we asked him how he hasn't lost his username yet, he mentioned he called in to create his account and was just f'n with the guy on the phone. He spelled it out and the guy said 'so it's corpsefucker?' He went ahead and did it since they had no problem with it. Odd to me)

It's not like you'd have to learn how to do any of the stuff you have to learn. It's a game... that's how it works. It's not like I'd be in a mall full of zombies in the first place now is it? Such negativity...

You watch the other people fight in quarters mode, but not if you get there after the fight starts. Basically for the first match after you join you see the quarter screen.

I also stopped liking the series when they added all the excess flash and combos. I notice that in offline play I have no problem doing vega's jump, scream and throw, but online I can't get him to either claw or throw before he lands. I fear lag may have killed my chances of being good with my best character (that and playing with a thumb instead of a joystick.. ugh)

the bomb launcher that does 1800 only drops 1 at a time, the ones that does 1300-1400 drop 4 at a time. Big difference there The 1800 one does fire twice as fast, so I guess it may have it's uses, but for base destruction dropping 16 bombs at a shot is much better imo.

there was a way to place the pieces so that you'd be prepared for any piece that came to you and after they drop you're left with what you started with. Therefore unless you have a brain fart or twitch wrong you could semi-mindlessly play literally forever with no actual thinking. It became a set pattern of 'if the piece looks like this, it goes on this stack' and repeat. www.gamefaqs.com has a guide on how to do this.
