Slightly worse graphics, no DLC (or at least delayed after 360 DLC), and no trophy support.

Worse graphics????   OMG

And I have the collector's edition preordered too so it's unlikely I can switch at this point.   frown

I've tried to convince you to buy multiplatform on 360 slywink (of course it's for my own selfish multiplayer reasons that don't even matter to FO3)

Spoiler for Hiden:

saves-always ontop of the last one,no chance to make multiple saves...hello!!i have 60gig left on my HDD here

That has nothing to do with hdd space, it's about trying to make your choices matter more by preventing you from doing all choices with no repercussions.  Always hit and miss with games since some people feel violated when they can't save and reload.

Sure there are a few little issues and the game is not perfect, but the experience was well worth my money.  Supposedly Fable 2 is having great success sales wise, so there is hope for another sequel.

I'm confused on the speed of the blades overall.  Games used to load slowly on the list and blades were slow to respond, then they updated the dashboard and 'fixed' both those issues.  Worked great for a couple weeks and now everything is slow to respond again and the games list takes longer than ever to list.  Very strange.

I haven't seen any bartending jobs yet but I'm keeping an eye out.  Last night I re-upped my gold access and saw all kinds of globes (and said hello, but later relaized I had mute on) and heard some mic clicks but found the game seemed to be kinda laggy, so I turned off the globes and everything went back to normal.

I bought up most of the Gypsy camp and a bunch of stalls in Bowerstone Market to start my real estate mogul phase.  I'm just keeping the rents at their default.   I've also discovered the gargoyles.  I hate those things, and don't like that you can hear them nice and clear when they are inside a house and you are outside.  I spent about 15 minutes running around one part of the market trying to find one, and it ended up being on the inside of someones house.

My quest for the perfect boots continues.  I didn't find the stripper boots mentioned before at the Skirt shop but did find a nice pair of Adventurers boots with a boot knife in them for looks only.  I only wish they had made the dye use easier instead of having to exit out using one color and picking another.

I haven't had a problem with telling where the gargoyles are with 5.1 surround.  They sound properly muffled outside buildings and I can definitely home in on them strictly from sound.

I liked the original, I guess, but the combat got too hard for me.

Maybe, the shiny is starting to wear off on me, but last night I had a hard time trying to play.  While I like the openess I'm not finding alot of side quest to do.   I completed the first quest for the Abbot, but only a few quest opened up and most of them was Evil leaning...

Think I am missing somthing

I've found a ton of things to do and found myself finally 'forcing' myself to get back on the main quest.  Not sure what game you're playing.

Bolt action rifles can be quite frustrating, especially without the scope. frown  Went from a game a 35-6 to 5-20 when switching from the overpowered smg's to the bolt action.  I'd almost always hit the guy first, but it's not a one shot kill and then the long rechambering time would mean I'm dead.  I did finish with a crazy amount of assists though.  icon_lol

SMG with silencer can be quite effective this time around, especially with the shadows you can hide in. Looking forward to the ability to also hide from recon planes.  Eventually you can add a sniper scope to the 'normal' (semi-auto) rifles as well.

The rifle grenades aka WWII Noob Tube, works great.  Very fun, powerful.

Bouncing betties are pretty annoying, more so than claymores ever were since they aren't directional AND are much harder to spot.

I think the scene with Sylar 'out of hearing range' was just portrayed wrong.  It's obvious from the way he acts later that he actually did know what was being said, I think his expression was supposed to convey 'why the F is he doing this?' and 'what am I supposed to do about it' type confusion, rather than the 'I wonder what they are talking about since I can't quite make it out' type confusion.

I'm rather enjoying how they are mixing things up and keeping things moving.  People take shows too seriously anyway.
From what I've learned since I made this post...

First - the scene was (if you re-watch, you may end up agreeing) done in the traditional way a show will demonstrate someone can't hear the conversation.  They show the conversation, then cut to Sylar's point of view, but with No sound, just the talking mouths.  Then they show him, from their point of view.  It's pretty much a device meant to say "he can't hear this."

However, I think once the Vortex guy killed himself - Sylar put 2 and 2 together and knew what was up....  Hence his being knowledgable in the car.

Anyhow - From the Sylar wiki
Quote
After being injected with the Shanti virus by the Company, Sylar loses all of his abilities. After he is cured at the end of the second season, he only regains his abilities of intuitive aptitude and telekinesis
(I don't remember thinking that was the case, but perhaps I just spaced it.)

As much as the show frustrates me from time to time, I still like watching it... but not as much out of love for the show these days, as it is just to see what the hell they will pull next.

I know people have been saying he lost all abilities except a few, but he used other abilities other than telekinetics and the int apt.  I'll rewatch to see which one, but I remember when I saw it thinking those people were wrong.

Sounds good but I hope the two other melee dps classes don't get swept under the rug because I really want to play a Hammerer.

Hammerer and Choppa are mechanics unique to those two classes.  Black Guard and KotBS both share mechanics with existing classes.  I'm pretty confident the only reason these two classes were held back was minor mastery tree tweaking and artistic asset creation/refining.

Right now it feel like a full conversion mod to me.  Not a tremendous amount of changes, and the polish level is pretty low.

It should be very fun, but most of it is due to the amazing level of fun the base game has/had.

my first impression upon loading this up last night was 'my god, this looks horrible.'  no way does it compare to the graphical level of gta4.  not even close imho.  i don't remember sr1 looking this bad either.  in any case, it's not a deal breaker as the game is fun in leaps and spades.  obviously, this is the way volition went instead of gta4's emphasis on realism.  there is room for both types of games in my library, so sr2 should be a good solid addition.

did a handful of missions and a number of activities, completing all levels of toxic avenger and half of the inferno atv, hitman, and mayhem missions.    except for the crappy handling of the atv, that and toxic avenger are pretty easy to beat, which is an improvement over some of the activities in sr1.

love that they added more transportation options this time around.

i really wish they had made it possible to bring in your character from sr1 as a base model.  i fiddled with it a bit, but there's no way i am going to spend tons of time messing with all the sliders you have available.

i tried to join harkonis' coop last night and it wouldn't connect.  just sat there for several minutes before i canceled out.  i want to do a lot of that this weekend.

I was already in coop anytime I was logged in last night, it must have just not been updating the 'joinable' status.

Between Kato and I, we've broken 20 hard locks in the game and about a dozen reset worthy glitches.  Very buggy game, but still fun.

I found the assault chopper very easy to control, so I'm afraid I don't have many pointers there other than to try to make small changes, be smooth on the sticks and use the rudders.

the other choppers on the other hand are pretty shitty to control.

I've done 120k in Mourkain before, a T2 scenario:

http://www.kepow.net/warhammer/Seleria%5EF_006.jpg

Actually, I've seen BWs top 150k in MT in a close game like that.  When you get there, screenshot it when you put out a 1.7K crit and a 350 damage DoT in T3.  I'd like to see a sorc do that...then perhaps I'd change my mind about BWs.  BTW, nice job by your healers in that scenario.  In a match where the damage was close to equal, they only allowed half the deaths of the Order players.  Anyway, we'll see who gets hit with the nerf bat first...

FYI Strider, I don't disagree about WE's, but they don't seem as strong in T4 as in T2 to me.  I thought they were pretty uber in T2.

KePoW, as for Volk, I'm in Legend - my character name is the same as my username here and I'm working hard to get my toon to 40 when I'm not leveling alts there or on my Order toons on Oster.

The scenario damage meters aren't really much of a sign of anything imo.

Here's the evidence/epeen

Calling in dogs is...eh.  Nothing special.  They can be killed fairly easily, you're really only in trouble if you don't see them or get 2-3 on you at once.

I actually like the fact that you can kill them fairly easily, because it gives everyone a chance to help stop them and doesn't slow gameplay down so much. I always hated the helicopter in CoD4 because unless you brought a rocket launcher or were willing to waste a ton of ammo, you couldn't stop the thing. Everyone would end up just ducking in a corner and waiting it out, which brought things to a screeching halt. That wasn't so bad every once in awhile, but when people were spamming helicopters it got real old. At least with the dogs I feel like I can continue playing normally, I just have to be a little more careful about watching my back.

And I agree on artillery vs. air strikes. I don't know for sure if artillery is any more effective than air strikes, but it sure *feels* that way.
Artillery definitely feels like it lasts longer and has a larger radius than airstrikes.

Vortex guy is like "I can't, I am not a monster!".
HRG tells Vortex to do it, or else...
HRG tells Vortex to do it, and he can just leave.
Vortex guy is like "I can't, I am not a monster!"

meanwhile....

Sylar is over by the car, and they show what it all looks like from his point of view.  And they make it very clear that Sylar CAN'T HEAR them, and that he is wondering what the whole argument is about.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't Sylar have Super-Hearing from killing that lady in season 1?

Grrr.  I screamed  "Wait, why are they showing Sylar to be 'out of hearing range!! What the hell!"

It's things like this that annoy me because they reveal that the writers don't even give a crap about this uber-villain we were all worried about.

DragonFyre, regarding us believing him to be good now.  I don't think we are supposed to think that he is (save for that view of the Future Sylar that seemed sincerely good)  this 'present day' Sylar seems humored by their attempts to "give him a second chance".
