4500 people watching fish play street fighter, I can't compete with that.  I only have 10 watching me. lmao

so odd, yeah I typed it correctly.  No search result on phone or ipad and the official website still has blank link with coming soon.

the link in the review is the only way I could find it.

Just had a fun ranked fight where I ended up with double thaddius and both the guys that make him still out.  good stuff.

when I start a new character, I start on expert with no gear.  The levels below that are ridiculously easy once you know how to push buttons  ninja

the game is more relaxing on a console ATB, other than that or people who just have a better setup (audio/visual) on the console I think that's it.  If I wasn't broke and had too many games to play already I would be tempted to play it on console.  Partially because a controller is far better on my arthritis

Destiny companion app now out for iOS and Android

Seems like everything needs a companion app these days.

odd this article just came out considering the app has been out for more than a month

honestly I get the impression that dogfight precision is going to be better with kb/m, but the overall feel is superior on the stick.  Stick just feels clunky to me on aim so far.

Sooo, did anyone else notice the dlc that is being sold on Elite's homepage? I'm sure there's a game I'm forgetting or don't know about, but this may be the first time I've seen a game that cost $150/$75 (depending on which package one has purchased) , and still unfinished in beta, sell dlc. Plus, these $5.00 a pop paint jobs make the horse armor seem positively ideal. Obviously, it is one's choice to purchase the dlc or not, but it is a little off-putting to me that the dev wants to nickel and dime his customers who paid an above average price for a game that isn't even finished yet.

I'm still getting the game eventually, but now I'll feel a little icky.

instead of feeling bad about it, not sure why you wouldn't just not buy them and applaud them for allowing people who want to give them extra money to do so easily. smile

People take DLC entirely too personally.  As you said it's cosmetic only, stop whining. lol

I'll be streaming me learning this game and probably getting ganked after Gencon is over. (fwiw Archeage charged $150 to get into the alpha and it's a fully DLC f2p game, yet it doesn't piss me off at all)

They start off with a chain of somethign like 6 one shot kills, which shows they don't understand what I want in a shooter slywink
93  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Hard West - tactical shooter in the old west on: August 12, 2014, 03:21:33 PM
fwiw, this isn't a shooter at all.  It looks fun, but when you say tactical shooter I think more Rainbow Six (old style).

Looks awesome, it's just that the genre is different.

I listen to my stream slywink  No time for others yet.  Though if I could get the mumble to stream working again it'd be almost like a podcast while playing.  Mostly me telling Mikagami stuff then him asking that exact same thing a few minutes later because he didn't listen to me.  ninja

99  Non-Gaming / Hardware / Software Hell / Need some HTML help on: August 11, 2014, 07:44:37 AM
It's been years since I've even messed around with HTML, and I need some help with a page.  What I need is a simple gateway page so that people can easily see both my potential streams.  I have the embed html for each, I just suck at layout and such.

I'd like to have my twitch stream, my hitbox stream and the chat for each embedded in a way that someone can easily just hit the page, see which stream is active and watch.

In a related note I need someone artistic to help redo my logo that has been stagnant for 15+ years.

104  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / [Steam] Guns and Robots (F2P) on: August 08, 2014, 02:57:33 PM
This game has me hooked hardcore.  I played about 30 hours in 3 days and still want more smile

It's a round based arena shooter where you build your own robot tank out of parts.  Game structure is like World of Tanks overall.  Inventory space is the biggest limitation to F2P users and it's mostly not P2W.

At any rate the game is a complete blast for me.  If you start playing hit me up for a guild invite, guilds get tiny bonuses but they can add up.

Here's a clip of me playing.  This is three matches first is a Tier 2 fast robot with 2 arms, next is a Tier 2 medium speed with 4 arms, then my Tier 4 medium-fast with 2 arms.

Here's some more help, not sure it's all up to date.  I'll be streaming a lot of this, along with some Firefall and some ZMR this weekend (will have some item giveaway keys for ZMR)

What exactly DID Jesus teach, though?  All we have are the written words of so many people...most with agendas...that it's become impossible to know what Christianity really stands for.

I think we should start our own care bear style church.  Keep out the evil PvP'ers and just be content with PvE.

I would burn that church down to the ground, then collect my xp

For me the gameplay felt so good and responsive I couldn't care less about the story.  Almost wish they had kept the bad voice over so I could fight through a campy moon wizard MST3000 voice over.

I still want another Carnage Heart, but the fact is that even if we got it the internet would mean everyone would have really good AI even if they had no clue.  Copy paste for the lose. frown

I prefer Gear Up over Robocraft for now except for the crashes.

Most of what you have mentioned for endgame can be done throughout from what I've read, with the exception of the weekly events and raids.

My non-comic fiancee loved it and thought Nebulae was amazing.

I agree with you for the most part, but where I think I feel it's different is I don't think it's a bad thing to force gamers who want something to work for it.  Make some real friends if you want the content, don't hide behind the social crutch of match making.  (and I'm super socially repressed/loner, but it will force me to be more outgoing so I think it's a positive thing)
120  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Elite: Dangerous on: July 31, 2014, 09:48:50 PM
I've worn a demo unit, between the inability to quickly and easily check a second monitor and the lowered resolution it would force my streaming, I'm not too interested in it overall.

Also I already sit entirely too close to my screen slywink  I'm less than 3 feet from it.

Basically the fact that I stream definitely affects my opinion, but even without I think I don't really WANT that much immersion since I want to stay aware of what's around me in real life.  I do however want the freedom of head tracking which is why I want a TrackIR.  Checking twitch chat to interact with viewers is an important part of being a 'good' streamer.
