If it's for Netflix, they can probably use mutants.  I'm pretty sure the deal was only for film.  Also they could technically use them for the SHIELD show, but I think it would blow continuity for the movie tie ins so they avoid it.

If even a third of the upcoming WH40k games for pc and ipad are ok I'll be happy
83  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Comcast on: July 22, 2014, 07:42:19 AM
Comcast just installed cable to our neighbors, now we have no internet.  I go outside and there is a cord running from the junction box across the lawn and to their cable box (which isn't even a box, just a bunch of wires and connectors hanging on the outside of their house).

I'm sure it's not a coincidence that our cable service is no longer working after they screw with it, and I also want to know how I'm supposed to mow the lawn with 30+ feet of cable just laying across it.  crazy people.  I'd upload pictures, but I have the feeling I need to conserve my phones data for the upcoming week. slywink

I really wanted to play the Destiny beta for XB1, but might not have internet in time.
84  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Acid motherf****ing reflux! on: July 21, 2014, 10:36:54 AM
I have it badly and it can be quite serious as people have mentioned.  Everything from tooth decay, migraines and throat/tongue cancer can be a result.  Don't delay, act today

I enjoyed the raid decks in the wow card game, if this is anything near as fun I'm stoked.   Likewise I'm looking forward to the pve in Hex.
88  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: ArchAge on: July 18, 2014, 10:23:48 AM
despite the title being spelled wrong, I like the game.  I went into the beta not expecting (or really wanting) to like it.  It does look like crafting for F2P is pretty gimped, but overall the game looks fun and like there is enough to do to keep anyone busy whether they want to farm, raise animals, quest, or kill other players.
89  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Happy Birthday Hark! on: July 18, 2014, 07:31:09 AM
I'm bumping me own thread because I'm bored and happened to see it the other day when I searched for Gencon. lol

Sadly/happily, this is a 'big' bday.

Shame the xbox beta is so short, but I am grateful to be able to play it thanks to some awesome gaming site doing a beta key giveaway...

I got a chuckle out of EngineNo9 saying to get the train on the tracks... that is all
95  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / [Steam] The Red Solstice on: July 16, 2014, 04:20:35 PM
Standalone game based on the Warcraft 3 mod NotD.  Early access still, but quite fun when it's working.

Here's a clip of the 'Bunker Mode' which is more of a traditional horde mode where you defend a spot.  The normal mode is more of a mobile survival game of scrounging supplies.  I prefer it over bunker mode, but not enough people were playing the other modes.

edit: ignore my hair, I'm way past due for a haircut.  That's what happens when a mohawk gets undone. lol

looking at the steam reviews I can't help but think this game was designed for/by Ritt

98  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (07/14) on: July 16, 2014, 10:44:07 AM
It does seem pretty assholish to post a political opinion in your sig (especially when you're not even allowed to do so in the area of the forum that people who enjoy that sort of this go).

It ain't like chocolate and peanut butter, I don't like politics and non-game opinions in my morning gaming convo  ninja

I actually do sometimes listen to the radio, and have been to dance clubs that play current music.  However I hadn't heard Happy either.  I was quite surprised to find one I hadn't heard.

101  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / GenCon 2015 on: July 14, 2014, 06:46:32 PM
I know a lot of you can't make it to 2014's GenCon, so I figured I'd start you planning early.  It would be amazing if we could up the turnout of GT members for this event.

Starting planning 13 months early, no excuses now! (this means you too CK, who can probably read this)

I'm planning on goign digital XB1, just a bit bummed that I don't get the gamestop preorder bike because it looks cool

Plundernauts is a lot of fun, there is just a lot of downtime.  I just play it between playing other stuff and have had no problems at all.

I have had star traders on my Android phone for a couple years I think - at least a year I am sure.  Kind of funny to see it just coming out on Apple.

I swear I had it for a couple years too, so not sure what's going on. (on ios that is)

108  Gaming / Portable Gaming & Apps / Re: iPhone/iTouch app and game thread on: July 07, 2014, 10:13:08 PM
I got Monster Hunter, seems like it could be a blast, but for me the touch controls just aren't good enough.  will try again once I can find a sub $50 ipad controller.

I like Robotech, but Harmony Gold can suck my left nut after the Battletech SNAFU
110  Gaming / Portable Gaming & Apps / Re: iPhone/iTouch app and game thread on: July 07, 2014, 04:43:26 PM
Age of Booty, Tactics as well as Cards and Castles are both very well done turn based games that have card based mechanics to them.  Between Fates Forever and these two I've had a fun mobile weekend.
111  Gaming / Portable Gaming & Apps / [Ios MOBA] Fates Forever on: July 07, 2014, 04:36:58 PM
Played some more of this and can definitely say it's well done for what it is.  Just a solidly done, touch control isometric MOBA that is F2P with a similar F2P model as LoL.  Currently there is a deal for $20 to unlock every champ/hero.  I might bite on it.  Production values seem good on the game so far.
112  Gaming / Portable Gaming & Apps / Re: iPhone/iTouch app and game thread on: July 06, 2014, 02:05:30 PM
Fates Forever is f2p mobs that seems at first glance to pretty much be iOS lol.  High production values and good controls

I'd still love to play Killer Instinct and Forza, but not having a fight stick and steering wheel are killing the desire.

116  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: [STEAM] Dawn of War 2: Retribution Last Stand on: June 30, 2014, 01:09:35 PM
We've been having a blast the few times we've had enough on to play.  Game is half price today, and picking up the game AND all the DLC is under $20.  (game itself is only $5 for just last stand, get it)

who is Hiden and why does he get all the spoilers?

Spoiler for Soul's spoiler
Spoiler for Hiden:
whether he lives or dies, he'd be dead by now, it was almost 100 years ago slywink  i understand your concern, but it always amazes me that people are fine with people killing people and people dying, put not animals.  my sister can watch the most blood full and violent movies if they are all people, but if an animal even gets scared she turns it off.  seems odd.  Death is death, it should all suck, right?
