41  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Forza Motorsport 6 announced on: January 13, 2015, 02:59:37 AM
I'm sure FMS5 was a great game, but without access to an affordable wheel I played it all of 2 times I think.  Might pass on this one if they still have no decent wheel
42  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PC/PS4/XB1/Vita] Hand of Fate (RPG /DM card game) on: January 08, 2015, 10:12:54 PM
I streamed this all day monday.  It's come a long way and is very fun.  Great mix of genres.  will likely stream some more soon
43  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Dirty Bomb by Splash Damage now on Steam for beta on: January 07, 2015, 06:03:38 PM
Gonna be playing and streaming today.  www.twitch.tv/harkonis and www.harkonis.com  Feel free to join if you're in the beta or just come watch if you want to see how it is.  Hopefully I get some more players since servers are a bit sparse midday.

game looks good, bit put off by spelling errors in the trailer though.  You'd think they would proofread a tad more.

If you were ever thinking of playing, now is the time since the 'all gods' pack is now $20 instead of $30.  It gets you every champ/god/hero that exists and will ever exists.  No grinding for new gods.

My referral code:  (you get bonus xp/money if you play with the person who referred you, also I get a skin if I get 3 people to play to 15)

With Mumble it's quite simple to meet up.  Also you just have to follow each other around and make sure you jump into each other's framewakes to not end up in another instance.

I'm using my mumble for this fwiw, anyone is welcome just pm for info.
49  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Elite: Dangerous on: December 25, 2014, 06:50:23 PM
It will be intimidating to you if you aren't familiar with the genre, but it's not actually overly complex once you see past the layers.

Just get this, it's perfectly serviceable and is what I am using until I can swing a full setup.  $20 joystick

Just hop on mumble when some people are on and it'll be a breeze to figure it out.  There are also plenty of videos available in game as well as tutorials to learn the various aspects of the game.

Loving this, put a few hours in and streamed them.  Hoping they add things like job boards so I can hire myself out as an escort.  ninja

Early access beta clip of me trying not to suck.

I'm surprised I like it.  I'm not a big fan of Halo gameplay but something about this felt good.

Getting back into this with some friends and we need teammates!  We use Mumble and will be playing at all hours of the day.  Lemme know.
55  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Elite: Dangerous on: December 16, 2014, 02:53:29 PM
oddly I've had no issues with last two launchers including today.  Odd since I had several issues when I first tried playing a few months back

no more unfair than circumventing time for money which you can already do by buying ships with cash.

yep, they chose a really horrible way to progress with expansions imo frown
59  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Hearthstone on: December 09, 2014, 01:04:31 AM
opened my 3 free packs of the new cards, got 4 rares 2 of which were gold.  not too bad.  sadly the shop is closed though so no more cards today
60  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Destiny -Bungie's new game with Activision on: December 08, 2014, 06:16:52 PM
the game isn't terrible by any means, but it isn't what was sold to me based on marketing in the slightest.  All the last minute changes after they showed the game and talked about it rub me the wrong way.
61  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Destiny -Bungie's new game with Activision on: December 08, 2014, 12:53:32 PM
I also bought the collector's edition and regret it.  Last year I bought the season pass for COD and BF4 and didn't utilize either.  This year it's Destiny and I'm enjoying COD much more and wish I had the pass for it.  frustrating.
62  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Street Fighter V on: December 05, 2014, 02:14:44 PM
Killer Instinct is basically a F2P game and an XB1 exclusive.  Seems odd they would do this.  Bit bummed since I don't have a Ps4
63  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PC/360/XB1/Ps3/Ps4] Dragon Age: Inquisition on: November 27, 2014, 12:08:49 AM
he never said you can only do it from afar though, you just took it that way and I didn't understand why you thought that's what he meant.

you asked how do I tell their level, he said to target them from afar.  He was suggesting you do that because if you waiit until you are right next to them you can't avoid the fight and that seemed to be why you were asking for their level.

I have never noticed it.  Wonder why it's from only from afar as well

um, it's not only from afar, he's telling you to do it from afar so you can find the level before you are fighting it.
65  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PC/360/XB1/Ps3/Ps4] Dragon Age: Inquisition on: November 26, 2014, 09:54:48 AM
I've had several crash to dashboard bugs.  Probably once or twice an hour.  Might just stick to mp for now since it's pretty frustrating being at the dashboard suddenly and hoping the autosave isn't too far back.

67  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What's your biggest gaming disappointment/sleeper hit of 2014? on: November 22, 2014, 06:49:01 AM
I've played far worse too smile  There was plenty I liked about it, but far more that wasn't there that was advertised.  Also the MP was mostly a buggy mess of simultaneous kills.  I played it a lot in part because my friends were playing it with me and so many of them just don't play games online anymore.  icon_evil

Should have played coop with us pug, you jumped the gun imo.  Played about five hours with mikagami last night and had a blast, a nice lag free stress free blast
71  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on: November 11, 2014, 02:25:05 PM
I like how you dislike MW3 enough to leave COD, then you come back just in time to play that devs very next game.  (sledgehammer helped make mw3, then this is their next outting.) shouldnt be a surprise there are simularities.

I am fine with the weapons for the most part and when lag isnt kicking my ass it is fun.  I so think lag is a much bigger problem than it needs to be and if a $10 or f2p game on pc can provide a lag free game wtf cant a billion dollar franchise.

the issue is more the tags being on the front than being there at all.  As ATB mentioned, many times when looking at the forum you have no idea what game the last commented thread is since they all start the same.

I have shooter experience, therefore I will not get into the beta.  That's how Bliz works I guess slywink  lmao at the Hearthstone moment btw

so what you're saying is there's still time for them to screw it all up, but it's great right now?  played a few games like that...  ninja
76  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on: November 07, 2014, 05:23:37 PM
it's not really just you fwiw, there are some lag issues and sadly their lag compensation doesn't seem to be able to work with inconsistent lag (which is what they are having).  Pings are all over the place and people jump from white to red to white to yellow to red, etc, all the time.  Lag comp only really works with consistent ping of any number.

Here's some clips of good, bad and ugly.  The real ugly ones are still being edited and are mostly crazy lag situations like we've talked about.

I really wish the record feature of the xbox didn't look like ass, it's so much harder for me to edit my twitch broadcasts but they look a million times better.

if you're having trouble hitting things that are AI, it's definitely you.  Keep in mind that Destiny had some of the most severe aim assist I've ever seen

Good tips!

How do you do a non-speed reload? I assume it's with a single X press, but I was doing that last night and still losing the rest of the ammo left in my magazine.

currently bugged and every reload is a speed reload.  when fixed it will be single tap is normal, double is speed
