Two of the videos I took of the tornado system passing over my house. got 8 touchdowns (thankfully not really close to us) Got several vids, but these are the two that are easiest to follow what is going on without narration of some sort.

Backyard
Frontyard

one of the videos that didn't quite turn out as good as I would have liked would have been awesome if it could show what I was seeing.  It looked like a warlock casting a summoning spell of some sort on the other side of the trees.  That 'everything lifting like gravity is reversed' effect you see in animes.  The clouds just started ripping apart and going straight up, quickly, into the cloudbank.  Scary as shit.

I can only think of two games with direct stream interaction that has gameplay connection and if this allows anything like that I'm all in slywink  I do hope they eventually let you stream from OBS on PC through capture and just check your twitch though instead of forcing a stream from the xbox since the quality sucks.  Tomb Raider had interesting interaction with viewers, but only if you streamed from the console.  It looks awful compared to my normal stream.

Forced Showdown does pretty good twitch connection on pc though.  They even have a thing where sometimes while playing the letters T-W-I-T-C-H appear in the game and if the player grabs them a viewer wins a copy of the game.  Kinda neat and it was fueled by total viewer minutes so more viewers got more frequent pops.

I played another hour at my friend's house after a small I Am Setsuna marathon. I still stand by my original thoughts, but there is some fun to be had with the game. One of my biggest frustrations is the lack of information the game supplies to the gamer. What does this do? What does that do? How are these weapons stats different? At least let me farm for identify scrolls or something.

Apparently the developers have a big announcement later this week. Hopefully some deficiencies are being overhauled.

odd that you posted that when you did, you posted a few hours after they added the less ambiguous descriptions and information.  Also fwiw I find id scrolls almost always at the shop, usually three per level.

I used a mouse on the menus, I was able to toggle fullscreen to windowed and to change resolution, though I went back to 1080p and fullscreen.

I loved the original and I'll check this out eventually.  I'm fine with just a enjoyable make me laugh experience.  As an aside I watched the Melissa McCarthy movie Spy on a whim and was really surprised.  The Mrs and I laughed almost the entire movie and it wasn't just slapstick.  Some good comedic timing there.  Haven't really been a huge fan of hers, but I liked the movie.
9  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PS4] Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair on: July 15, 2016, 08:01:29 PM
unfortunately it comes down more to how they use the stuff than what they say they require.  I have games with low requirements that use the cpu in a way that turnign on obs immediately bottlenecks everything.

Been lucky with a couple of recent ones, but Vermintide for example was a complete beast despite me easily running it at high settings and fps.

It's another in a long line of reasons I tend to stick to console gaming.
10  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Weekend Playlist - 7/15/16 Edition on: July 15, 2016, 07:59:46 PM

pc:  necropolis, evolve primarily though I have a stupid number I'd like to get to
xb1:  hawken, overwatch (mostly waiting on patch for it) some carmageddon
11  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Nintendo Classic Mini NES on: July 15, 2016, 02:04:44 AM
If by lame you mean incredibly awesome! slywink

$2 for each of those games isn't bad at all imo.

13  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Necropolis: A Diabolical Dungeon Delve [PC/PS4/XB1] on: July 13, 2016, 09:31:30 PM
crafting is introduced in the first 5 minutes slywink

I played a bit more tonight and began to understand a lot more.  You unlock other biomes with different scenery and monsters as you go by reassembling crystals.

Only Tokens,Codex, dyes and possibly trinkets carry over through death.  Basically tokens and stuff you buy with tokens with a few exceptions.

For weapons, just look at the Tier of the weapon.  All tier 1 items are roughly the same in power level, they will just have different movesets and per swing damage.  Slower swinging hit harder, etc.
14  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Necropolis: A Diabolical Dungeon Delve [PC/PS4/XB1] on: July 13, 2016, 04:05:42 PM
i play tons of games by myself.  I PREFER to play coop whenever possible, but people often just don't cooperate with my wishes ;P

It's fun enough that you could probably play solo for a few hours and be ok, but with an asking price of $30 I don't really think you'll get that much from solo.  Also the fact that there are no real hard data in the game really bugs me.  'Here, spend your hard earned points on a book, but we won't tell you what it does only vaguely hint at it'
15  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Necropolis: A Diabolical Dungeon Delve [PC/PS4/XB1] on: July 13, 2016, 11:49:55 AM
fun coop, would probably be boring solo
16  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (7/12/16) on: July 11, 2016, 08:35:15 PM
I'm waiting on XB1 Necropolis.  Playing a bunch of Evolve on PC now that it's F2P though, picked up a $10 key to unlock most of the stuff.  Already got my money worth.  Quite fun
17  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Is Gamingtrend dying, or we are all just on a break? on: July 11, 2016, 05:14:02 PM
GamingTrend (more so than other forums I go to) also only seems to get posts during the week and during normal business hours.  It's a graveyard at night and weekends which is when I tend to post.
18  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PS4, XB1, PC] Evolve (from Turtle Rock) on: July 10, 2016, 04:08:20 AM
I felt that it seems much more balanced between the fast and the slow than before.  Now that the dome is for anyone and is weaker but up more often you get more of those tense dome moments.  The tracking ability the trapper has now means that you don't have as much trouble finding the monster as you used to so there is a bit less tediousness of never seeing him.

I think the vast majority of the problems at the moment are similar to when the game first launched and that is that people just don't know how to play.  Get a monster that has no clue, it's a slaughter very quickly.  Get a player that doesn't know how to play and your team slowly gets bled to death and/or never finds the monster (especially if the noob is on the trapper)

any word on how the console version is affected by any of this?

Gratch, when you have more time in Riders of Icarus I'd love to see some more in depth impressions!

Will do.  I just started last night...will give some thoughts after this weekend.

I'd play it but I'm an old fogey that need Y inversion and it doesn't support it.

Hawken, Overwatch a bunch of Steam games and I picked up RDR though I haven't played it since I played it with Damage frown
23  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PS4, XB1, PC] Evolve (from Turtle Rock) on: July 07, 2016, 09:41:55 AM
I loved this game, but sadly couldn't get more than 1-2 people to play it with me.  I could see a group of 5 having a lot of fun with this just switching out who the monster is.

Steam sales have distracted me.  Steamworld Heist, Salt and Sanctuary, Qvadriga a bit.  Got my placement in Overwatch done so probably do a bit of that as well.
25  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Salt and Sanctuary on: June 30, 2016, 06:25:19 PM
picked this up today, loving it.  probably be streaming this and Steamworld Heist a bit coming up.  Both are well worth the money
26  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Starting WoW in 2016 on: June 30, 2016, 02:40:37 AM
I loved WoW when I played it.  I loved the open PvP as well, but once battlegrounds were added I lost my opponents and the game became stale to me.  I did just go 1-20 for a Hearthstone unlock though.  Took the better part of a day.

Mythic was the closest I've seen and as you mentioned it went tits up.  Shame, I would enjoy the genre
28  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [Hell froze over and Blizzard made a new IP] Overwatch on: June 26, 2016, 10:38:05 PM
Torb turrets already did less damage on console than on PC fwiw, I'm guessing this is a further nerf and not just someone noticing the previous difference.

My Torb win rate is still 100%, so obviously he's hard to deal with for consoles.
29  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [Hell froze over and Blizzard made a new IP] Overwatch on: June 26, 2016, 10:24:26 PM
Lowering the damage will make the turrets terrible imo, hell I'd be fine with them increasing the damage and slowing their tracking.  then you can deal with them when you know where they are and are prepared, but if you get caught out or they are protected and defended they tear shit up

edit: Also I really think the cooldown should start when the turret is destroyed so killing one matters more
30  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [Hell froze over and Blizzard made a new IP] Overwatch on: June 26, 2016, 09:52:15 PM
happy for changes but a shame it's damage.  I really think the damage the turret does is fine and the problem is the target acquisition speed.

not yet, but if I get either of them I doubt I get the adapter.

still a bit bummed they caved instead of either sticking to their guns or really committing to the kinect by taking a loss on the bundles.

I'm desperately hoping this never becomes a thing.  Once game performance is no longer standard for all parties, multiplayer balance is done.  PC's are already plagued by this and despite the master race insisting the more power is a better thing I don't like how it allows more money to give you a better chance of winning.

TLDR:  I like the consistent performance at a low cost consoles provide for all players and this would ruin that if crossplatformed
