He needs a good firm grip What the heck is that from? I think you meant to post "Where can I teach this class?" This would be the only move taught at my class. IDK whats going on here but I good well know his hands\ fingers should not be where they are especially since its 2 women. I think it is safe to say that I would not be *less* disturbed if the students were two men ....

I hosed my Droid X and got a iPhone 4 yesterday. I have to say that being trapped in the Walled Garden ain't all that bad. Damn thing works every time I do something with it. While I certainly miss some Android stuff, I'm getting used to the iPhone really quickly. I have been assimilated. It's the sweet, sweet battery life that tempts me ....

Yeah, don't get rid of your laptop, particularly if you're a writer. iPad is a fantastic device, but I don't enjoy using it for any kind of content creation. The touch keyboard simply sucks too hard to bang out anything of length without wanting to shoot yourself.

I run into problems with Flash all the time on my ipad. I usually have to make note of the video I cannot watch, close out the browser, and launch the "you tube" app and search for it.
Not a total deal breaker, but yes, it is a PITA.
Allot more work then if the damn thing would just use flash like the rest of the world.
Me too. I browse a bunch of websites that use flash for video. It's a pain. Not a deal breaker, but certainly a deficiency. I do most of my browsing through Reeder, so I have to star the pages where I want to see the flash video and then fire up my desktop of laptop to see them at a later time. Annoying.

the video for that was quite disturbing because the kid didn't move after he fell until the video ended several seconds later. Boy be hurt yo Hard to believe he suffered a serious head injury. He lands on his feet, than hips, shoulder, then head. It certainly looked painful, however. If people object, I can pull it down.

We've got spirit, Yes We Do, We've got spirit, HOW ABOUT aaaaaaAAAAARgh!!! That just looks strange. I can't figure out what she was trying to do. I was wondering about that myself. I think what happened was that she started making the second flip by mistake (obviously, since none of the other cheerleaders moved into a second flip), realized her mistake a nano-second after she started her second flip, and then made an even bigger mistake by trying to pull out of her second flip, realized THAT mistake and then tried to continue the flip, which, of course, was impossible. Result? The world's most awkward looking back flop. At least she only fell onto a wrestling mat. Which begs the question, Why are there Cheerleaders at a Wrestling Match? That's not curling? Here is the full vid ]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QB25-YwHS0A&feature=player_embedded#at=16]slow motion was brutal, she easily could have snapped her neck there Hmmm. Now I have no idea what went wrong. When you look at the full video you can see that there was a girl on the opposite side who completed two backflips, so she was supposed to launch into a second backflip ... she just blew it in somewhat spectacular fashion.

Well, I don't even see a windows phone 7 at verizon...
So how the hell can I (or any verizon user) check it out and decide if I want to buy it if my carrier doesn't even have it?
Is there a windows phone 7 at AT&t?
If they want to sell me one, they need to get it on the carrier and get a show model at the Verizon store..
Because this summer, I will be looking at apple, motorola, and HTC and make a decision. If there no windows phone 7 there, then they are screwed.
Shame, cause I like the way windows 7 looks on the videos.. But I have never seen one.
Motorola, alright I'll grant that they design decent phones. But HTC? Why do everyone love HTC? Looks so ghetto. But IMO, I won't bother even considering Android phones, unless you're the hacker/tinkering type. The ones to look at this summer, again IMO, is webOS, iOS and maybe, possibly, only-if-HP-and-Apple-shoots-themselves-in-the-groin, WP7. I wouldn't discount the Dual core Tegra android phones, those combined with the playstation suite and the gaming power, I think will be great with some really good games coming out for them. I also wouldn't discount the installed Android base at this point. Prior to purchasing my first Android phone, if Verizon had carried the iPhone, I would have purchased an iPhone. Now that I've been carrying around a Droid Incredible for almost a year, I'd never consider switching to an iPhone. I'd have to give up too much for it to be worth it.

I don't think Xoom looks ugly, it's the OS that does.
In reality, the device doesn't mean much - they're basically all the same in real life usage. Spec sheets doesn't mean shit, it's the OS that makes all the difference.
It depends on the spec. Right now, Apple has the number one killer spec as far as I'm concerned: battery life. It's hard to be a ubiquitous lifestyle appliance if you constantly have to plug the thing in. I think screen resolution is an incredibly important spec (but your apps and your OS have to take full advantage of that resolution, if you're going to have a high resolution device). OS is obviously an important factor. Since I've only handled iOS on a tablet, I can't make any grand pronouncements about any of the other upcoming tablet OSs, but nothing about Honeycomb strikes me as ugly. It seems very useable and customizable. But then, I'm not one who thinks that iOS is the greatest thing ever. I got my wife an iPhone 4 because of the device's battery life and the fact that she doesn't use her phone for anything that iPhone doesn't do right out of the box. It's a great phone, but nothing about it makes me wish I was carrying that device in my pocket instead of my Droid Incredible. It's lack of customization is a deal-breaker for me at this point. Heck, even my wife busted out with "How do I change sound profiles quickly like I did on my Blackberry?" to which I responded "You're shit out of luck on that one, babe."

I'm not that wowed by the TouchPad. I mean, it looks like a perfectly fine tablet, but why would one conclude that it is vastly superior to the Xoom? TouchPad is thicker and heavier, but boasts a smaller, lower resolution display. It doesn't support removable memory. It doesn't have a USB port. It doesn't have a rear-facing camera and the front-facing camera is lower resolution. It will have a vastly smaller apps ecosystem to run from. Not to mention that Xoom is going to support LTE on Verizon this year. The only thing I find highly intriguing about the TouchPad is the Touchstone technology. That stuff is pretty cool (but since I don't anticipate purchasing an HP phone in this lifetime, it's ultimately irrelevant). WebOS is certainly an elegant operating system (probably superior to both iOS and Android in terms of multi-tasking and user interface), but both iOS and Android are highly useable. I think the Xoom looks anything but fugly, but I guess I've never been overawed by the iOS grid. Give me useable widgets and customizable home screens any day. The real problem with the Xoom at this point is that they didn't price it to move. At $800, its a non-starter. If they priced it at $500, I might have picked one up just to have a tablet browser that actually allowed me to comfortably consume flash content (a problem I run into constantly browsing on my iPad). Since I'm not really in the market for a second tablet, I guess I'll just watch this round from the sidelines and see what shakes out. I'm very curious to hear how HP is going to price their tablet.

I'm having problems with my dish right now. Channels I used to get that were clear are now completely eaten by static. Just had my house tented, though, so I have a feeling the dish may have been shifted a little when they did that. Need to get somebody out here to realign the thing. What a pain.

Heh. Seriously. If you want LTE in 2011, it's unlikely you're going to have it on an iPhone. Droid Bionic or some similarly featured phone in the future (dual core, LTE, 4.3" screen) will be my next phone on Verizon. That being said, my wife should have a new iPhone come February.

Ok, everybody remember the uproar over this gif? that's a seriously hard hit. kind of brutal that she doesn't move afterwards (of her own volition that is) What is it that entertains people about seeing other people hurt or maim themselves? CeeKay calling this picture "snuff" was pretty accurate. For all we know this girl died from that fall. Stop posting snuff, Ceekay. Thanks for posting that. I'd always wondered how that person made out. I guess I still don't know, but at least there was some movement. Well, here's the video that shows the aftermath:
