I'm a Health Services Administrator for a private corrections company.  The prison I work at is in western Oklahoma and houses California inmates.  I did, however, apply for a transfer to a detention center (run by the same company) in Pahrump, NV (60 miles west of Las Vegas) and was offered the position today.  I start there on May 5th.

Working in a Military Treatment Facility, we often sent our new medical technicians in search of a box of Fallopian tubes for the ER.  Hilarity was guaranteed to ensue as they went from department to department.  

Nobody should ever regret turning down Oklahoma.

Oklahoma's not that bad.  Couple of hours from Dallas-Ft Worth, reasonably low cost of living, minimal Obama-drones, and I'm pulling in six figures.  What's not to like?

I retired from the Air Force on 1 Sept 12, and was exceptionally lucky to transition directly to a civilian job in a medium-security prison on 4 Sept 12.  The best part is that the civilian position pays more than what I was making as an E-7.  Combine that with my retirement check, and I'm clearing very low six-figures gross pay.  I haven't looked back since.

Makes me and my girlfriend happy campers.

I rarely prescribed Imodium to my active duty patients, and when I did, it was for prolonged diarrhea and when the patient couldn't keep up with rehydration.
