961  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / [NBA] Pacers/Pistons Brawl on: November 23, 2004, 01:50:12 AM
You're right Rhino.....the guy's suit IS darker than Person's.  I just saw it again on the news and then saw Person.
962  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / [NBA] Pacers/Pistons Brawl on: November 22, 2004, 03:50:17 PM
Yeah!  That looks like the guy on the video.  Where is his punishment?
963  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / [NBA] Pacers/Pistons Brawl on: November 22, 2004, 01:46:50 PM
SOMEbody in a suit clocked that guy on the ground.  Not sure if it was Reggie Mille though.  I don't think it was.
964  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / [NBA] Pacers/Pistons Brawl on: November 21, 2004, 11:57:33 PM
Who was the Pacer in the suit that pummeled the Piston fan on the floor?  He hit him after Artest and before O'Neal came sliding in.  No suspension for him?
965  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / [NBA] Pacers/Pistons Brawl on: November 21, 2004, 04:07:56 PM
That S. Carolina/Clemson fight was sweet.  Did you notice the cops only going after South Carolina players (the away team)?
966  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / [NBA] Pacers/Pistons Brawl on: November 21, 2004, 05:44:48 AM
Just saw the video of the white hat dude.  Yep, he did it.  What an asshole.  He's toast for sure.

The black shirt guy is going to be rich $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
967  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / [NBA] Pacers/Pistons Brawl on: November 21, 2004, 04:45:06 AM
First off...that dude in the black shirt that got pounded by Artest.....was he even the guy that threw the initial cup???  Artest wasn't even looking his way when the cup hit.  How in the world did he single him out when he wasn't looking in that direction? I'm thinking he had the wrong person.

Second, Artest and the Pacers threw ALL of the initial punches.  Especially when Artest was back on the floor and he pounded that guy in the Pistons jersey.

Third....where is the suspension for Indiana's Assistant Coach in the tan suit that was hitting the two guys in Pistons jerseys while they were on the floor (after getting pounded by Artest)?  Nice pussy action there pal, hitting a guy on the floor.  Same goes for you too O'Neal cause you slamdunked the same guy (on the floor) seconds after your Assistant Coach did.

Lastly for all you defending the Pacers.......using your logic.... the next time a NBA player dropkicks a basketball into the crowd, the crowd can pummel said player instantly on the court in the name of "defending themselves".  Bullshit.

That idiot in the hat was sucker punching Artest from behind.  He'll get his due.
970  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Apprentice 11/18 Spoilers on: November 19, 2004, 03:00:26 AM
Finally a decision that makes sense!!!  Wes was incompetent and needed some Viagra for his backbone.  Maria's middle name is Bitch, enough said.  I would have had a hard time restraining my backhand from her face if she talked to me like she did to Wes.

Good to see the Carolyn/Bill lapdog show is still in progress.
971  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / HL2: G-Man Sightings? (100% SPOILER) on: November 18, 2004, 12:56:39 PM
Also right when you get the airboat and you're going to the red building.  He's outside the red building looking at you and then he walks into the building.

Of course when YOU walk in, 2 zombies are waiting for you.
972  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Half-Life 2 Impressions (Possible Spoilers) on: November 18, 2004, 12:59:24 AM
LOL @ Eco.......classic!

Doom3 has coagulated into the cheese between my testes and thigh.  And to think I paid the same price as HL2 for it.

I'm still not terribly overwhelmed with HL2.......yes I do like it and what it brings to the table.  But...I need a driving story (ala NOLF1 and even HL1).   Something that makes me play to the next level because I want to see the plot progress.  I'm just not feeling it yet in HL2.  (I'm getting my ass pummeled in the airboat right now.)

And I think the openended gameplay of FarCry was phenomenal and would have made HL2 even better than it is now.  HL2 is a hardcore rail rider.

975  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / [hl2]New complaint - why do I need the cd in the drive?! on: November 17, 2004, 02:57:34 AM
Did anyone try just pre-loading the files from Steam and then entering your retail CD key?  In other words, do not install off of the CD's.

That's really fucked if it wants to do a CD check after the Steam authentication.
976  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / HL2 Offline Mode -* First Post Edit *- on: November 17, 2004, 02:54:35 AM
Someone give Big Jake a cigar.   Cool

I unlocked around 8:30am and it went fine.  Steam hardly downloaded anything for the unlock and it seems like most of the time was spent decrypting/decompressing files.

I've been able to play at all times during the day.
977  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Half-Life 2 Impressions (Possible Spoilers) on: November 17, 2004, 02:49:59 AM
Just got by there Turtle.

Then I got scared going into the room where Breen gives the APB on Freeman and I took a break.

I do like this game but I really don't think it's the Second Coming like most people are making it out to be.  The graphics, animations, and environment interactions are sweet.  I just don't find myself HAVING to play to the next level like I did with NOLF.  Sometimes I feel like I'm on a rail and I miss the open-endedness of Far Cry.

979  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / HL2: Steam vs Retail on: November 15, 2004, 08:13:16 PM
I used one of those "one use" card numbers that Citibank generates for internet purchases.

I originally had HL2 pre-ordered through EB but cancelled it and went with Steam.

I have seen TV seasons on DVD earlier than their release dates at Best Buy.

Same here. I see new releases out days early at Best Buy constantly. The only exceptions are big, big name movies that are heavily advertised as being out on a certain day (ie. Shrek 2, Star Wars, LoTR).

I think that strengthens my point that BB is run by scumbags who will get away with whatever they can get away with, rather than play by the rules.

To this day I am also shocked that BB has not been ass-raped by some State's Attorney General.  They pull some illegal shit and get away with it ALL the time.
984  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Does anybody else need to lose some weight? on: November 14, 2004, 09:32:02 PM
I do, I do!!!!  I'm 6 foot and 215.  I'd like to get down to 190 again.  My dad just had emergency triple-bypass heart surgery Wednesday and it scared the shit out of me.  His arteries were 95% closed, all due to diet.

I need to start eating better and need to have some type of exercise (besides sex) in my life.

Well I would expect them to comment on truths.  Maybe he talked to someone at Valve.  I can't see him pulling that out of his ass.

991  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / GameSpot: The Final Hours of Half-Life 2 on: November 13, 2004, 10:54:28 PM
elborto it's not hard to figure out.

Steam users are pissed because Valve said they would unlock the Steam purchases when HL2 available via Retail, even if it was early.  It's now available via Retail.

Retail users are pissed because they bought the physical disks and cannot play because it's locked via Steam (which should now be unlocked because HL2 is available via Retail).
992  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / GameSpot: The Final Hours of Half-Life 2 on: November 13, 2004, 09:48:33 PM
This is getting really sticky.

Looks like BB has released it for sale across the country.  Can you imagine buying it today and NOT being able to play it because Steam has your retail copy locked out until Tuesday?

AND the Steam buyers are pissed because retail is now selling the game.

Can Valve actually fuck up this game/release any more that it already has?

As bad as Depp looks, I constantly remind myself that no matter what movie hes ever done, hes awesome in it. I think Depp is a great attraction no matter what he does, and Im sure he'll bring some quirky charm to Wonka. However, no one, no ONE, can match Wilders portrayal. He was so good. God that movie was my childhood.

I agree.  Depp is a truly AMAZING actor, although his political views really piss me off.  Gene Wilder IS Willy Wonka and even though Depp is awesome, he'll never top Wilder.

I'll be there before midnight with my folding chair and a six pack.

Took tomorrow and Wednesday off, and I also have Thursday off for Veterans Day.

Taking next Wednesday off for HL2.
