As bad as Depp looks, I constantly remind myself that no matter what movie hes ever done, hes awesome in it. I think Depp is a great attraction no matter what he does, and Im sure he'll bring some quirky charm to Wonka. However, no one, no ONE, can match Wilders portrayal. He was so good. God that movie was my childhood.

I agree.  Depp is a truly AMAZING actor, although his political views really piss me off.  Gene Wilder IS Willy Wonka and even though Depp is awesome, he'll never top Wilder.

You can't always blame the Project Manager for a failure.  If key individuals are not pulling their weight, then the blame rests on their shoulders.  Project Managers should not be expected to babysit each team member for every second of every day.  And it's ridiculous to think otherwise.

I'm getting tired of Kelly's BS too.  He never takes any resposibility, always throwing blame somewhere else.

Raj did make some mistakes during the task, but I would have fired Kevin, especially after LYING about picking the contractor.

1014  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Bloggers blamed for bad poll info on: November 04, 2004, 12:11:06 AM
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,137527,00.html

You've got to be kidding me.  The "bloggers" didn't release the poll info.....the news organizations did!!!!  How in the hell are the bloggers to be blamed for bad numbers???

Plus, some news organizations conclude that exit polls "can be unreliable".  If that's the case, then DON'T USE THEM AT ALL.

They must really think that the public is a huge steaming pile of mashed potatoes.
1015  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Kerry concedes on: November 03, 2004, 11:16:31 PM
Oh.....sorry.  I was looking in this thread and didn't see anything bad by him.

Edit:  I still don't see Koala saying anything inflammatory.  He is being rather civil and stating his views.  You may not agree with them, but they hardly approach the "bigot" level.

Yes....props to Kerry for accepting defeat as graciously as he did.  He probably would have done better if he focused on what his actual "plans" were.  He never did really tell us other than to say "I have a plan".

1023  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / [P] Fox News projects Ohio to Bush on: November 03, 2004, 02:54:06 PM
It's funny that all the Dems that were crying about abolishing the Electoral College (and using the popular vote) in 2000 are now crying that they want to use it.  All because George W whupped them by 3 million votes in the popular vote.
1024  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / [P] Fox News projects Ohio to Bush on: November 03, 2004, 02:48:03 PM
OHIO
100% of Precincts Reporting
George W. Bush 2,777,645 - 51 percent
John Kerry 2,632,547 - 48 percent

That's over 145,000 votes.

All 150,000 provisional votes are NOT going to be for Kerry.  He needs to give it up.

That's one thing I don't remember (or really understand).....

How can these polling locations be open so far in advance of "Election Day"?  I've used Absentee ballots before but I can't recall actual in-person early voting.

The 80 hour price is higher than I would pay.  How about throwing in a bigger drive into the cheaper one?

Check out www.weaknees.com .

I personally need 80 hours.  I started with 40 and installed another 40GB drive.  Are these models Series 2?  Make sure that they have two separate inputs so you can record one show and watch another.

What drives me nuts is when we see people getting bussed into our sub.  A worn down rusted out piece of shit cargo van will pull up and 30 trick or treaters will overflow out of it.  These wannabe ghetto gangsters don't even say "thank you" after they get their candy.
