Morrowind - PC - Started this back up after a long hiatus. Off to see the wizard clans.
Metro 2033 - 360 - Continuing onwards in this a little at a time.

So people are playing my faves this weekend. While really hard and frustrating in a couple of places, Metro 2033 is really great. I'm kinda worried about the sequel with the bankruptcy stuff. Hoping it doesn't get messed up.

I got hit by a bad storm here in Georgia Wednesday, power is back but Internet has been inconsistent.

Looking forward to playing ad catching up on my single player games, but if my Internet behaves I'll be playing some Dungeonland, Far Cry 3, Dead Island, Diablo 3.

Although some people got bored with it, I really enjoyed Dead island all the way through.

Nice to see this back, I missed it last week. Playing KB Warriors of the North. Typical KB game. I love them myself. It's fun to get some dragon units and go on a rampage. And the game is so pretty. Some of the quests are rather clever. Some are frustratingly vague, or won' open up til you do something else in the game, but I'm having fun clearing out the map.
45  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Games finished in 2013 ALL GAMING PLATFORMS (including Mobile Games) on: January 26, 2013, 03:46:19 PM
Kotor 2 with tsl 1.8 mod. Great game!
Kings Bounty Warriors of the North.
System Shock 2-only took me 14 yrs to finish! I got stuck back in 1999. Thank you GOG
Kingdoms of Amalur. Solid game. Sad what happened to Big Huge Games.
Deus Ex Human revolution. Great game. Liked it so much I thought it was a little short. Didn't think the boss battles were quite as horrible as many others, but the second one was quite a pain. Doing the DLC now.
Finished the DLC Missing link. Surprised there was no more extra content for Deus EX HR.
46  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Dragon Age II - Impressions! Mods! New Patch! on: January 21, 2013, 04:27:08 PM
I just played and finished this a couple of months ago. I thought it was fine and failed to see what all the gnashing of teeth was about. Had a fun time. I thought that was the point. Then again I tend to be more forgiving and less critical that most on gaming forums.
47  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 1/18/13 on: January 19, 2013, 02:49:16 PM
Finishing up Kotor 2. Good game, but ready for it to be over. Anxious to start Kings bounty:Warriors of the North. I have really enjoyed and been hooked on all the previous KB games.

I tried going back to KOTOR II with the restoration mod recently, but it just felt kinda boring.  Maybe it's just basis of comparison with modern games, but all the environments looked so sparse and dull, and the initial set of missions on the mining facility weren't terribly compelling.

I'm getting near the end of Kotor 2. I have really enjoyed it. Stay with it. The mining level stuff is by far the worst part of the game. It gets much better after that.
49  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 1/11/13 on: January 12, 2013, 03:06:12 PM
Continuing on Kotor 2 with TSL mod. Finally got my light saber and am laying waste. Also really into the story.

Kotor 2 with the tsl mod. Enjoying it so far.

53  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 12/14/12 on: December 14, 2012, 05:06:21 PM
I will be finishing up Dead Island. Simple game, but I really liked it as much as anything I've played this year. Now I have to look at the back log. Is the Kotor 2 fan patch complete and working? If so, I might pick that. Still have to play the new Deus Ex too.

I hope I don't miss out on too much story from going SP.

You mean co-op I presume instead of SP. Since they are keeping both modes, SP and Co-op, completely separate, you have to choose one or the other, I still think SP will be as good as 1 and 2.
55  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 12/7/12 on: December 07, 2012, 09:36:31 PM
Really Ceekay? You will bounce around all those games? That would drive me insane. I'm a one at a time kinda guy.
Continuing with Dead Island. Hacking Zombies is not getting old in the least. Just wish they gave you a bit more ammo for those damn rhino like rushers. And I wish the game was a bit less buggy.
56  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 11/30/12 on: December 01, 2012, 07:35:15 PM

As a one at a time gamer for 23 years who created his first backlog with the 2011 winter steam sale I worry about this. But with a price point of $10, I don't feel like I'm wasting too much money. Plus, with so many publishers in trouble, I feel there could be a drought at any momment. Then again, there are a lot of cool kickstarter stuff as well..... So far, all is still good.
58  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: I love sales on: November 26, 2012, 03:59:35 PM
Most games I've bought over one sale since these things started.

KOTOR 2
Dead Island GOTY
Darksiders
Kof Amalur
Spec ops the Line
Syndicate-the new one
The Darkness 2

Total cost $44.83
I decided a while ago a game has to be under $10 for me to get it. I have a big enough back log now to hold me over and every game will get there eventually. I don't play multiplayer so that's not a concern.
I was hoping Risen 2 or Mass Effect 3 might be up but I guess maybe at Christmas. I have more than enough to play now.
59  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist - 11/16/12 - Pre U.S. Thanksgiving on: November 16, 2012, 03:56:19 PM
Into the third act of Dragon Age 2. Still having fun.
60  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 11/9/12 on: November 09, 2012, 06:04:25 PM
Dragon Age 2. I guess I'm more easy going than a lot of gamers. I see now what they mean about all the reused areas and not much variety and I just don't think it's that big a deal. I do like to have some discovery in my RPG's and this is basically just going from arrow to arrow, but the rest of it is so good I'm having a lot of fun with it.

Had to do something I almost never do, give up on a game. Anachronox. While I liked parts of it, I never knew where to go or what to do next. I could just never follow it.
However, I was able to pick up DA: 2 in a sale. While I don't like the camera and battle seems way too fast, I love everything else about it and am having a great deal of fun.

Played DD2 TDKS when it came out and finished it. Agreed: It's a great game.

64  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 10/12/12 on: October 13, 2012, 02:39:32 PM
Dishonored looks so cool it's almost strong enough to break my will on waiting for price drops.  But I'm not bending and will probably play it Christmas 2013 after a steam sale.
Into the meat of AC Revelations now. Really love it. Don't like tower defense so I don't let my awareness get into the red. Problem solved. I kinda miss the picture puzzles but not the code wheel ones.

Allright Soulchild!!!! Another O's fan!!! I have been a fan since the Cubs flop in 1969 and the O's choke against the Mets. I don't have a very good feeling about facing Yu Darvish. But this is not a sports thread.
I'm continuing AC Revelations. Getting into the flow now. Really hate the captains that run and hide and the whole beating the Den to reveale and unlock the map bit. Otherwise having fun.

Spycraft was great! And imho unlike any other game. Well worth playing. I always wanted a sequel.

AC Revelations. Enjoying it.

Ultima ix was nice enough to corrupt completely on me. And the game was so much not fun I was happy to quit. So on to the back log. AC: Revelations. Just getting done with the tutorial stuff. I really love these games. But I have dinner out tonight and Bears game tomorrow so not a lot of gaming time.
69  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist 9/14/2012 on: September 14, 2012, 05:08:00 PM
Ultima IX. Really does lead you from place to place. And side quests don't seem to advance your character. But it's an RPG, so I'm still having fun
70  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist 9/7/2012 on: September 07, 2012, 04:26:54 PM
Never hunted a flag in any AC game. Couldn't resist picking them up if I came across them in my travels though.
Playing Ultima 9 this weekend. First computer game I ever played was an RPG and they are still my favorite. So even though it's a 13 yr old game and looks and plays like it, I'm still having a lot of fun.
71  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 8/31/12 on: September 01, 2012, 02:46:50 PM
Finishing up Alan Wake. Can't wait to see the end. THen What ever I decide from my back log. Just got Ultima 9 from gog. Maybe that.

Dark Souls on the PC, never finished on the 360.  With the graphic fix this game looks great and is probably the best version, I can't stop playing.
Darksiders 2 - Stuck in some arena and can't find my way out.

How hard is it? The comments most people have made I must admit leave me intimidated.

I played quite a bit of Alan Wake this weekend. It's a blast. Can't wait to see where the story goes.

Still on Dungeon Siege 3. Enjoying it.
74  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist 8-10-2012 on: August 10, 2012, 08:43:22 PM
Dungeon Siege 3. Picked this up cheap in the Steam sale. I have no idea how a dev can decide a camera system like this is okay, and the game is a way simplified action RPG, but it does scratch that itch for me. Glad I didn't pay more than $5 for it though.
75  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Thief 4? on: August 08, 2012, 05:32:58 PM
I'm somewhat surprised this title seems to be having so much difficulty.  They have 3 good blueprints on what made the series so go. While I am slightly bummed that thief 4 might not see the light of day, it's easier as I'm in a cycle where I play things 6 months to a year after they come out anyway. it's just so much cheaper.

your choices seem pretty sound to me. I avoided the dex mistake but kinda wish I had gone with ice instead of fire. Ice freezes characters solid and it's nice to have them out of commission for a bit. Fire may have some nice bonuses later on, but I'm not that far down the tree yet.
