I recently got a disk unreadable error with Forza 2.  The last time I got a disk unreadable error was right before my 360 died.  I don't know whether to be worried or exchange Forza 2 or what.  It only happened once, but sometimes the music skips.

That's happened to me twice while playing GH2.  Thankfully, a simple reboot fixed it both times.  Makes me damn nervous, though.   paranoid

Beyond Good & Evil is another game that never got the attention it deserved. Easily one of the best games I have ever played. I wished it was longer, but while it lasted it was a lot of fun.

BG&E was my first thought as well.  I didn't list it because it got a ton of critical praise IIRC.  It was just the unfortunate victim of bad timing and horrid marketing.

Sucks that we'll never get to see a continuation of the story.  frown

While they usually don't get fantastic reviews, I'm an absolute sucker for the Tenchu games.   Tenchu Z is my most anticipated game of the summer.

I do stay far, far away from the handheld versions, though.

FF VII (for the 4th time) and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (for the 2nd time).

Interest only loans aren't always a bad thing.  We switched to an interest-only about a year ago, and are saving about $400 a month.  That extra money has gone a long way towards paying down our massive credit card bill.  Medical expenses smacked us with about $15,000, which is now down to $4,000.  Should be paid off by next February.

We are pretty lucky, though, in that our home has actually appreciated over $100,000 since we bought it 2 1/2 years ago.  Not sure if I'll end up selling or just converting back to a fixed before the interest only period is up in August 2008.   Unless the bottom completely falls out of the Salt Lake market (which isn't likely to happen anytime soon, especially in the area we're in), I'll be in pretty good shape.

Maybe I'm vastly oversimplifying things, but I think it's been a pretty good thing so far for our situation.

I was finally able to get in a couple hours last night.  This time through, Iím really trying to focus on the characters and the story.  The last couple times I played, I was so concerned about maximizing abilities, finding secrets, etc., that I simply glossed over the bulk of the story and dialog.   I really want to get a handle on the story and characters this time around.  The one thing that always frustrated me about the story is that whenever Cloud is hearing voices in his head, itís tough to figure out either a) who is talking, or b) who theyíre talking about.  There are a couple early game segments where this happens, and it still drives me nuts.

Also, I can't get my gamepad to work with ePSXe.  But I though there was a plugin for it, but I neither have it nor can find it.  But after spending over an hour on it, it seems so much smarter to just go into my closet and grab the PSX, without needing to worry about either ePSXe or the PS2's flaky support.

That was my final verdict as well.   The hassle of actually getting ePSXe to work wasn't worth it.  It does seem to play fine on my PS2, however.  Just looks like crap on the 52" TV.

I had planned on putting a few hours into this yesterday, but the broken sprinkler pipes in my yard had different ideas.    icon_evil

Bah, I just spent the better part of 2 hours fiddling with drivers trying to get ePSXe to work.  The graphics look fine, but both the music and character movements are randomly playing at about 10X speed.  It'll go at turbo speed, then back to normal, then back to turbo, etc.  I also can't get it to recognize any kind of gamepad, and there's no way I'm spending 40+ hours on my keyboard for this one.  I'll just play it on my old PS1 instead.

I am going to cheat a bit, however, and use the save point for the game I started a couple weeks ago.  It's only about 3 hours in (doing the Wall Market segment), and I don't really feel like replaying segments I just did a week ago.

I will say this.  I would like to know how many of the people who responded in this thread that are NOT Star Wars fans, or just considered it "meh", have actually seen the original movies in the theater in 1977, 1980 and 1983.  I would bet that most of you never did.  Those individuals could never know what a life changing experience that was like.

Not everything affects everyone the same way.  Yes, seeing Star Wars in the theater was an amazing and somewhat defining experience for some of us, but it certainly was not that way for everyone.  I know plenty of people who saw the original releases in the theater and never developed anything more than a casual 'meh' interest in the series, and there's nothing wrong with that.

To be honest, I think the prequels really soured a lot of people on Star Wars in general.  If you weren't a pretty major fan to begin with, I can certainly see how the piss-poor acting in Episodes I and II would put you off the series for good.  Mrs. Gratch is a perfect example.  She saw Star Wars during the original run, and while she enjoyed it, I don't think she would have ever watched them again if I didn't make her.  smile  After seeing Episode I, I pretty much had to drag her kicking and screaming to the other two prequels.  She had absolutely zero interest in seeing, as she put it, "possibly the worst acting ever to disgrace the screen".

Different strokes for everyone, man.  smile

Dimmu was here a couple weeks ago, but it happened to be on the same night as Frontline Assembly.  FLA is one of my favorites, so I chose that show instead.  In retrospect, however, I wish I would have gone to see Dimmu, as the FLA concert was uninspired at best.  frown

Violence against women? You're kidding, right? Can you really not tell the difference between fantasy and reality?
The "women" you are referring to are actually DRAWINGS, hell they arent even women, they're ELVES!
So by your own admission, games where you have to kill female characters (lets take bloodrayne 2 for example since there is a lot of that in there) must mean you like violence against women, right?
Lets face reality here, violence sells as much as sex does. If you really believe what you wrote, then obviously you have a much bigger issue here than just a few fake fantasy pics I posted.

The real women photos are from a superheroine membership site (which I wont link out of respect) that is run by guess who? A WOMAN!
Honestly, you should know better than to take offense to something that's not real.

You are right this is gamingtrend, but its also OFF TOPIC. If you really want to be a ll about censorship then go after car advice posts, democrats and bush, or a giant spider in someones house posts, but dont single mine out (which is clearly labeled NSFW) just because you personally dont share my tastes.

If you want to lock the thread then go right ahead, but I'm not going to apologize for sharing what I thought at least, was a small collection of sexy photos for the community to enjoy.

Warning's not on a crusade to ban such images all across the internet, he's just asked that you not post them here out of respect for the site owner.  Before you start comparing GT mods to Jack Thompson and scream from the "Free Speech" pedestal, you should probably realize that rather major difference.

Star Wars was the first movie I ever remember seeing, and it basically dominated my entire childhood.  Nearly all of the playtime when I was a kid revolved around those movies in one form or another.  We glued cardboard "X-wings" and laser guns on our bikes.  All the neighborhood kids re-enacted the movie battles with our vast collection of Star Wars toys.  We played the "Escape From the Death Star" board game.  We created Play-doh molds of the characters.  We constantly traded Star Wars cards.  The first record I ever owned was a recording of the entire movie.  This was before we could get the movies on VHS, so my brother and I used to listen to the record in our room while we played out the entire movie.  My mom came across a paper I wrote in 2nd grade about "Who you want to be when you grow up"...I said Han Solo.  I had Star Wars sheets, Star Wars underoos, and a Star Wars lunchbox.  Every year, my entire Trapper Keeper was covered in Star Wars stickers.  One year, my dad actually found Star Wars folders with pictures of the characters, and I thought it was pretty much the greatest thing I'd ever seen.  I dressed up as Darth Vader, C3PO, and Luke Skywaker (twice) for Halloween.

I'm currently typing this in a room covered in Star Wars posters.  I've got an entire bookshelf covered in Star Wars toys and memorabilia.   I've got a Darth Vader figure taped to my monitor at work.  I've bought all the Star Wars board games, all the VHS and DVD releases, and a million other little knick-knacks.  My desktop wallpaper at home and at work is Star Wars.  My coffee table book is the Star Wars encyclopedia, which was my best-man gift at my buddy's wedding.  The license plate on my car is STR WRS, with a "My other car is an X-Wing" license plate frame.  My dog's name is Vader.  I'm in the middle of rewatching all the movies in canonical order, and finished Episode III last night.  Most of today will be spent with Espisodes IV, V, and VI for the umpteenth time.  I've scheduled my entire day tomorrow around being home for the Star Wars:  The Legacy Revealed special.

Yeah, you could say I'm a fan.  And no, I don't live in my mom's basement.  smile

Picked this up on DVD this afternoon.  I typically enjoy anything even remotely fantasy-esque, but for some reason I didn't really care much for this one.  Maybe my expectations were way off, but I wasn't anticipating a heavy-handed war story with some random sprinklings of fantasy elements.  I rather expected that it would be the other way around.

Just finished watching, so maybe I'll let it digest for a while and see if it grows on me.  First impressions, however, are pretty 'meh'.
