Ugh...I hope that they don't go with the web design that is on IGN now.  I think IGN is building a house of cards though....just wait to see what happens when it falls.

I would be tempted but buy the Farscape DVD's if they came in a season set.  I'm not one of those that likes to buy individual discs.  Maybe I'll eventually rent one.

I watched Firefly when it was on.  It was good, but I just couldn't justify buying the DVD series.  I guess it just didn't click with me like it did with some people.

I enjoy Stargate SG-1 and will give Stargate Atlantis a chance.  Still, that's two shows.  Other than Enterprise, there really isn't any Sci-Fi on TV.

I am planning on going to Spider-Man 2 on Saturday, but going to a matinee.  If we play in the evening, I should be able to make it.

Well, it looks like both Mutant X and Andromeda have been cancelled because Fireworks Studios (I believe that's the correct name) has gone out of business.

It's going to be hard to see any sci-fi on TV in the near future.

Around here, they have announced where the cops are going to be patrolling for speeding.  I think if they still get caught after the cops announce it, they deserve to get the ticket.

I did see the PS2 version of SC:Ghost.  It was right next to the Xbox version.  The jaggies were incredibly noticable.  It also had framerate issues.  It wasn't to the point where it was completely unplayable, but I wouldn't have wanted to play it for long periods of time.  I mentioned to the PR rep I talked to that I was surprised to see the PS2 version, but he mentioned that they basically wanted to show that it could be done, but the game wasn't as optimized as much as the Xbox version.  They still had more work to be done on it.  It looked really bad since it was side by side next to the Xbox version.

I didn't see the Gamecube version, because it was in the Gamecube area, and I didn't spend a whole lot of time in there.

I have heard some say that backwards compatibility is a big deal for some people.  For other people, it's not.  What do you think?

For me, I honestly don't care.  I got a PS2 for PS2 games.  I can count the number of PSOne titles I have on one hand.  It never was a factor, but I didn't own a PS1.  I might have changed my mind if I could, but I doubt I would have sold it off if I did get one.

What does everyone else think?

GBA, PS2, and Xbox here.  Got an Xbox around launch, GBA-SP near the time that was released, and the PS2 about a year ago.

stiffler, Wal-Mart had it on their web page for $78.78, but it is out of stock there right now.

I really don't know if I can take this show seriously.  This morning on Good Morning America some of the participants in this show were playing the dodgeball.  I can't imagine people getting too wrapped up in it though, unless you have some smack-talk between the matches.

I like some of the new shows, don't care for some, but I like there is more of a gaming focus to the channel.

I have a HDTV, and I'm wondering if anyone has one of those HDTV antennas.  I used to get four out of six HD stations in, but now one isn't coming in very often.  For those familiar with antennaweb.com, most of the stations listed are in the yellow and green area, but one is listed in the light green and one in the red.  Anyone else have a HDTV antenna?

I have to wonder if we are going to see a "PSTwo" sometime around the release of the PS3.

Still, the PS2 is showing its age, and unless there is a chip that tells PS2's to break after a certain time, if people don't have one by now, they most likely won't be getting one.

There is always Unreal Championship.  UC2 looks fantastic.

Not only that, but the difficulty ramps up well.  It never feels frustrating.  At the very least give it a rental.

I'm glad to see that the article I posted has generated this much discussion.  I admit, I don't pick up used games very often unless it's the only way to get a game or it is significantly cheaper than used.  I also admit that a $20 game is much easier to impulse buy than something for $50.  Most of the time I wait.

It's still cheaper than getting a new computer though.

I only skim the IGN reviews.  I can't read them because they just seem to say a whole lot of nothing.  I mean, how can you fill four pages like that?  It feels like they mainly do that to get more total hits.

They are definitely stretched out thin, but part of it is that they are trying to be all things to all people.

Has anyone been watching this station?  So far, I like some of the things that I have seen.  It's not something I will always watch, but some of the shows are interesting to watch when there isn't anything else on.

Crimson Skies would be fun to play again.

Spider-Man 2 is the big one for me.  I'm hoping to find someone to see Shrek 2 with me.

I think that the problem isn't with ESPN fans going to Madden.  I think that Madden fans trying out ESPN is the bigger problem.   Madden does have the bigger following, and they have a bit more micromanagement.  If you want to control the price of hot dogs at the stadium, then Madden has that and ESPN doesn't.  I think that both games will be close this year, as both games look incredibly amazing.  From what I saw at E3, pics don't do ESPN justice.  I think this year ESPN could put a chink into Madden's armor, but Madden will still be tops.
