175  Non-Gaming / Hardware / Software Hell / Re: Dual or Quad Core for games? on: May 14, 2008, 09:22:48 PM
Everything I have heard and or read on this subject suggests you can get alot more cpu for your money going dual core. No game yet uses quad core. I heard a comparison on the PC gamer podcast yesterday on how you can get alot faster dual core for the same price as a slower quad core.

179  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Hellgate 2.0 Patch on: May 13, 2008, 01:48:20 AM
I'm didn't have any problems with bugs at all, and even persisted through and finished the game on normal in multiplayer (but soloed all the way) and have started in i think nightmare. Yes it was very repetitive, but I have definitely have gotten my money out of it and will probably continue to play it.
180  Non-Gaming / Hardware / Software Hell / Re: Windows XP OEM Question on: May 10, 2008, 05:50:17 PM
It seems like i always had trouble with xp installs unless they were the exact same version. This have gave me numerous headaches seeing i had 4 seperate xp installs and had to have the exact cd for each, or at least the same type. The original xp install wouldn't work with a sp1 cd install or oem install etc. In other owrds, a cd key for the original XP cd wouldnt work with an OEM cd instal or a SP1 cd install. I hope I am explaining this correctly because i think i am confusing myself.

Ive had that very PC one step from purchase about 3 times in the past week. My only caveat was wether or not i could use my 8800gt in it without having to replace the power supply. That system w/a 8800gt would kick some decent ass!

The only underwhelming part of this game is the graphics to me, I don't know how some of us are seeing something different than the people saying it looks great. The jaggies are the worst yet I've seen on either system and the blur effect is ass ugly. Many of the textures are quite bland as well.

I don't know why you are complaining. The graphics aren't next gen worthy, but they look great on my TV. Sorry, I wish it looked better for ya. Want a link to where to buy my TV?
186  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Official GTA4 impressions thread on: April 29, 2008, 10:27:15 PM
Just got home with my copy (for 360) and the game looks fanfuckingtastic, only complaint is the minimap is too small. Other than that I am excited to play more!

Sweet Jesus, do they pay for your gas?  I mean other than in your salary?

No but i make pretty decent money, and can usually work from home when I need to. But that isn't going to be ok much longer...
