Might as well just watch starship troopers.  I mean at least you get some NPH.

You would get a better experience, by watching the book cover.

So go buy the book...Sit and watch the cover for two hours....then pick up the book, and read that instead of watching the

we just talked to Sam raimi a couple weeks back at the comic con, and not one mention of this movie.  Then like two days after we leave the con, I see that he is behind it.  Weird.

7  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Megan Fox in a tight, tight corset! on: May 05, 2009, 12:30:15 PM
I worked at a country club, years ago now.

It was owned by a man who was a "civilian Pilot" during Vietnam.  he flew planes into Vietnam, with "civilians" on them.

WHen I worked for him, his career consisted of the country club, and a company called Air Group One.  Where they would go all around the world and buy up old US military parts and sell them back to the government for a HUGE profit.

ANyways.  He worked with a woman in Florida, who was very straight laced.  Business suit sort of person.  One night while at a meeting they had both had a few drinks.  She opened the color on her shirt, and he noticed that she had what looked like a tattoo near her collar bone.  He asked her about it. (( he had known her for about 10 years at this point)).  It was a snake with scenes from Dante's Inferno, that wrapped around her torso, down between her legs, and down her one leg.  He said that she was just the sort of person you would have never guessed had something like that.

It's sad to me that body modification of any sort is still looked down upon.  Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of people out there who do things either for just dumb reason, or who have NO idea what they are doing.  No plan.  If I could do any of my tattoos over, it would be the ones on  my right shoulderblade.  But they are easily something I can cover up with something smart.  I was only about 20, and thought it would be cool since I knew someone who did them, and I got it cheap.  My right arm, is a tribal that just came to me one day.  My left shoulder is a sort of bio-mechanical spiral that I so want to continue.  and again, my right forearm, is the dedication to my mom.  I have my nose guaged to 10g.  Which I only wear when I have consectutive days off.  My nipples were done so long ago.  And my tongue was the first thing I had done.  If I talked like I had a mouthful of gum, I would take it out, but again, its another something that a lot of epople dont even notice, I have.

My GF's dad after a year of being with her, and helping him work, and seeing them at the house, just the other day noticed that I have a nose piercing and asked me about it.

i am really tied of the whole " hurt your ability to get jobs"  how many people here didnt even KNOW she had tattoos?

I would also venture that people you talk to in everyday life, some of them, MAY have tattoos and you dont even know it.

Hell, I bet some of them may have even done things that you would think 'wrong'.  <gasp>

my ONLY visible tattoo is on my right forearm.  Its a blue gem, the omega symbol and the date my mom died, and its never hindered my ability to get job.  ANY emplyer that even bothers to ask.  I tell them what it is.

Hell, I worked at Uno's for two years before anyone there knew I had my nose pierced to 10g.

If you still live in the age of tattoos and piercings hinder someones ability to get a job, then you really need to start to rethink how you see people.

you need a level 70 toon, to create a deathknight.

It should not be to hard to level from 62 to 70 though.

Its not really end game anymore.

Since all dungeons, even the 'big' raid ones have a 10 man, and a 25 man version.  Same BASIC loot, a lot of the epic gear looks the same, the stats are different.

The new stuff in Northrend is great.

I just wish I could play....Whatever they changed on patch day.  I cant get on now.

after two days of complaints that people cannot get onto the log in server, FINALLY blizzard is saying there seems to be a issue...I am ok with problems, it happens....but when the response for two days is...."must be something on your side"  then I have a problem.  Post upon post from people who could not get in, and we were told to delete the WoW....defrag....take out Norton.....remove anti virus programs.  and on and on....yet none wanted to just say......we will look into the fact that it might be on our side..

I thought the days of "Working as inteaded" were behind us.  Makes me sad becuase I almost always stick up for blizzard.

heard about it this morning on the news....the radio talked about it as well.  Apparently the stamp on the movie or any movie for that matter is unique to the person it was given to, so they know WHO let the film out.

It was also mentioned that The Hulk was leaked last year and still did really well, so I would guess this wont hurt the sales.

19  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: WoW: Curse Client May be hacked on: March 06, 2009, 02:25:59 PM
I know that a bit back, someone found a way to add some spyware into the banners running on WOW sites, so that as the banner loaded it actually got into your system, and it was being used by WOW hackers.  Blizzard addressed the issue as well, as I believe Java, and firefox, and a couple others.  It was being used by more than JUST WOW hackers, but it seemed there was a HUGE outbreak of people getting accounts hacked.

I will say that the couple people that I know that have bought gold have had repeat problems with their accounts.

Not only just from having it hacked, but from having blizzard suspend their accounts on numerous times for random things.  As much as I would like to throw out a few extra dollars for some gold to get a epic flying skill. I just can't bring myself to do it.  Playing a mage, I didnt find much need for it.  Playing a toon that cannot port, I see why its nice.
20  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: WoW: Curse Client May be hacked on: March 06, 2009, 01:28:59 PM
i have been using the curse client for awhile now as well, and have not had any issues.  I do go through and change my password every couple months just to be safe.  A few years back I had a issue where I think I was trying to be hacked.  I kept getting booted, and when I would try and log back in, I would get a message about not allowed to have duplicate characters or some other sort of nonsense.

Changed my PW right there, and it stopped.  So I just do it once in awhile for my own safe feeling.

So, i will have to be returning DOWII since my PC cant seem to run it.  So I was wondering what the opinion was here.  Little Big Planet or Animal Crossing for the Wii?  I like the older Animal Crossing games, and little big planet got great reviews when it came out.  But I haven't heard much about it since.  just wondering what the overall opinion was.

wow.  this story just continues to get better and better.

I have also heard that the minister that she claimed would supply day care for her has said that he never said such a thing.  that she never attends his church, and that she has called only a handful of times, to ASK about day care that they dont even provide.

She should marry A-Rod, and they can just publicly lie together.

i'm not going to the movie to see megan fox, as nice as she is, or Shia.  I am going to see some robots from my childhood bash the crap outta each other.

But I agree, the writing is generally poor, and he does the same stuff in just about every movie he makes.   But I know going in, what I am getting.
32  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: WoW gearing up for Lich King on: February 17, 2009, 02:55:06 PM
I have been picking up OT roles in random Raids, 10 man, really.  But its still nice, gives me a chance to see new stuff.  We have Naxx scheduled for Thursday night.  Last week we didnt get enough people to show up.

It was funny becuase so many people I run into seem to think that a Frost DK tank, CANT do it.  And I tell ya what.  I havent had a issue unless people play dumb.  IE, hitting mobs before I get a chance to AOE the crap outta them.  Or random stupid-ness.  I could really use some more health. Other than that, I do pretty well.

I think the problem arising with the Dk tanks, is they think they can do it and NOT be frost spec.  I keep running into Unholy Spec DK's who are carrying ONE 1h weapon with DEF on it, and running about 400 DEF and think they can do it.  Less health, less DEF, and they think they can do it...So I let em try.  Usually ends up in them dieing.

I am also finding that I manage to sit about 2nd in DPS when I tank, which is nice.

I brought my rogue over to Howling Fjord, but I just am not liking playing her now.
I did bring my warlock over after hearing how bad warlocks got nerfed before LK came out.....Not having a single problem.  Still massacring stuff and not using much in the way of health or mana.

there is another trailer out there too.  They showed a different one in Japan last week, and i didnt link it cuz it looked like poo as it was filmed on a cell phone.  It contains bits of the new one linked her, but A LOT more of the transformers and the actors.  It was prolly about twice as long.

I like how this story has just spun so far out of control from where it started....The first national attention was that she had 8 babies and it was so great for her to do its to the point of what the hell?  you had 6 kids already, no job, yadda yadda yadda.....Its a mess and I wonder if she thought it would be a mess when she decided to start doing interviews.

Regular scrabble rules.  regular scrabble dictionary.  If you enjoy scrabble or the challenge of getting your butt handed to you by people you think you should be able to beat, check it out.
40  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: WoW gearing up for Lich King on: February 10, 2009, 02:48:44 PM
i ran Heroic Nexus yesterday as the tank.....We had another Dk with us, who insisted he could tank better than I could....myself and the mage got killed in the tunnel while fighting the dwarf mini boss guy.  It was just bad circumstance.  He got two lucky hits in, and the priest shield just wasnt enough.  But we didnt wipe and got through him.  So I let the other DK who was wearing NO def gear, tank a couple pulls, and that went horribly for him, so he stopped, and didnt say anything after that.

i got the DEF helm out of there.  So that was a bonus we got through without any other problems.

my def is now  tonight is 10 man naxx with the guild, so that should be fun....sort

I asked the other Dk what his opinion was on DK tanks, and he said Dual wield.  But the priest said that she had not met a DK Dual Wield tank who could hold aggro.  So that sort of helps me make my decision about 2h, or Dual Wield.
