2006 Ford Escape (recently purchased with 80k miles on it)
1994 Toyota Trecel (purchased for $250 with roughly 74k miles on it, currently around 80k, was an awesome find when we really needed one)

Apparently my thread management skills suck also, I didn't even have this thread open (so I thought).  Gah, I need Calgon to take me away.   icon_confused

Not to mention that Yahoo has a robust Fantasy Sports portal.

And fantasy football season is gearing up.  Will Yahoo include tumblr figures in future traffic counts?

Quote from: The Subhumans
Here comes the hero
At temperature zero
Warming his hands on the crowd
He says "now that I've changed
I'm exactly the same"
But nobody hears cos the cheering's too loud

Hypocrisy on a massive scale
Hero/cult/revolutionary
It's all a show
But now we know
All they want is your money

Hero lost his conscience, yes
But now he's getting serious
"Forget the system, let's have fun"
Hero! Take the money and run!

The heroes are forgotten now
Floundered on their reputation
The old elite
Came off the street
And wound up as an institution

The next generation won't produce
The heroes and the fashion freaks
There's nothing new
In what we do
Just commitment and beliefs

at least he didn't gush or anything.  he knew just where to stop in his thanks.

Are you trying to be a kiss-ass to me?    icon_wink

Honestly, I wasn't trying to suck up to the site mods (what could I possibly gain, heh?).  I just know when working hard on projects like this it's nice to at least once in awhile hear things are going well.  Sorry if that was too gushy.   icon_redface

Hello folks who make GT happen.  I just wanted to compliment GT staff on the excellent writing and content as of late.  I have really noticed an uptick in quantity and quality over the last number of months.  Or maybe I'm just doing a better job actually reading content instead of just the forum.   icon_wink

In all seriousness, thanks for your efforts and proud of you all!

My title is sports director at the AM radio station I work at, but in truth I am our play-by-play guy for our sporting events, who moonlights as a producer and talk show host when the need arises.

That doesn't pay that well, so I'm also a machinist. I work part time in my parents machine shop, programming milling machines and generally trying not to impale myself on whatever piece of metal I happen to be working on.

That also doesn't pay all that well, so I got a job working for the Mets. I ran sound for their home spring training games, and will continue to do that over the summer with their minor league team.

I work harder now than I ever have, and make less money. Three cheers for chasing your dreams!!!

Dreams-chasing for the win.  Very nice.

I'm a conservation scientist at a (non-advocacy based) nonprofit NGO/quasi-agency based at a uni and a part-time pro photographer.  Where I work houses the main database of sensitive species locations in the state and we preform scads of fieldwork, GIS, conservation planning, database olympics, author books and other like activities.

I'm mostly with you on that, I find the humor in a more implied sense here... i.e. the only way to reach certain people these days is to really catch their attention with stuff like this. Call it esoteric amusement.   icon_wink

33  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / [Kickstarter] Pro Pinball: Revived Dream Team! on: October 03, 2012, 04:20:34 PM
Pardon the cross-post from OO, but I wanted to make sure that any pinball players here that don't frequent OO didn't miss this.

I am late to the party, but the original programers of the penultimate Pro Pinball have joined forces with legendary table designer  Pat Lawlor (Addams Family and Twilight Zone tables for e.g.) and famous blackglass designer John Youssi (Medieval Madness, Addams Family, etc).  They have launched a kickstarter to remaster the original Pro Pinball tables with current state of the art tech and have Lawlor design a new table.  They have lot's of good Kickstarter rewards, but I am afraid they need help to get to their goal of $400k as they are at $150k with 39 hrs left.  So go check it out soon!  Lots of renders and other goodies to check out.

If you are much into pinball as me this would be a dream come true, fingers crossed!

 IN!!

Or it could be the light.

odds of natural light conveniently discoloring the exact place where the spelling error occurs?

I'm a photographer, been doing it over 30 years.  When it's important and you really don't want glare there, I would say the odds are nearly 100%.  Oh and it's been a story on numerous sites today and the signs are for the guy who blamed the survivors of the Aurora theater shooting for not pulling a Flight 93. But anyways, sure your armchair analysis is spot on and it must be a photoshop (crap can't get a link with this picture, but the analysis shows it was not altered, try it yourself).

Less talk, more pics please.
