It affects both vanilla and the Gods expansion.
I can't say specifically what won me over. I didn't play it a whole ton after the last major patches. I played it a lot at first and just didn't like it, but here's what I like about it now:
Bonuses are actually substantial now for civics, as opposed to "you get 1 extra food if you meet these random conditions every once in a while." Diplomacy actually makes a lot more sense now. You don't just get denounced for no good reason by every nation suddenly. Opponents don't do stupid things as often now. One of the patch notes in this one says that they won't sit and heal while they're in range of an enemy city. I feel like the AI is at least putting up a fight now.
It just seems a little more balanced as well. Maybe my expectations are lower now, but it's just a better game at this point.

Well, obviously I'm not happy that jobs are lost, but if these people can find jobs in another area and leave all this Zynga silliness behind, so much the better.

Non-Gaming / Political / Religious Nonsense / Mitt's Idea To Win The Debates: Zingers!

Seriously!Twitter is having some fun with this. Here are a few choice examples: People say Ann drives two Cadillacs & that's not fair. She has her own drivers. Give me your tired, your poor. Your huddled masses.. I'd like to tell them to take some personal responsibility for their lives. A president has to multitask. Mr Obama can only debate me. But I am debating Mr Obama & several former selves. Of course I've known hardship. One time I had to clean my terrified dog's diarrhea off my windshield. OK, fine. I've never had a Zinger. But I do know the owner of Hostess.

Absolutely loving this game so far. I started as an Engineer, and he was too slow and dull for my tastes. I restarted with a Berzerker, and now I'm having a blast. Some games just have that special quality. Torchlight 2 has it.

Yeah, I'm playing as an engineer in Veteran mode, and I enjoy it a ton. You guys suck for forcing me to buy this. You all literally grabbed my hand, held it over the mouse, and forced me to click the button to buy it. Bunch of jerks, wanting me to enjoy myself.

Although Reynolds WOULD be a good Deadpool, I think. He likes the character, and he could pull off "wacky badass" reasonably well, I think.

Here's the problem: Rayman origins- Never a big seller Uncharted golden abyss- Decent seller Mortal kombat- Moderate seller Little big planet- Moderate seller (LBP2 has sold less than one million copies) Wipeout- Seen better days Hotshot golf- It's golf Gravity rush- Has decent reviews, but new IPs are hard to launch on a new system Mutant blobs etc.- Never heard of it. Escape Plan- Same here. Motorstorm- Wasn't sure how well this one sold, but it sold about 3 million for the PS3. So, yes, they have franchises, but there aren't a whole lot of world-beaters in there. That's what's doing it. It's the games, it's the games, it's the games. With any system launch, it's the games.

Lee, I think that "full head of dark hair" you mentioned is a hat.
Dang, no wonder Ruth was so uncomfortable during the birth.

Here he is. We think he has blue eyes, but we can't quite tell yet. He looks like baby Ezio in this pic. I'm pretty sure your baby is just as ugly as you are.
I'm glad he isn't, man. That's the last thing this world needs is TWO of us. After all this boasting, I gotta say "Pics or it didn't happen!"
It happened! He's already posted pictures from the conception in the adult section of this site, so it can't be that.
Trust me, NO ONE wants to see that.

I would like to apologize to anyone who thought they had the most beautiful baby in the world, because by any objective measure, Ethan Alexander Evans is now officially on to of the leaderboard.
Cute squeaky noises? We have that. A full head of dark hair? We got it right here.
So, my apologies to all pretenders to the throne. You had your chance.

I'll win. Although, I'll be honest... I'm going to pass on this for a bit. First, I'm going to have a little rugrat, and that tablet controller will be EXPENSIVE to replace if he decides to put it in his mouth or poop on it. That's the only reason, though. Aside from that, love the price, love the feature set, love the integration with live TV, just dig it. If you're passing for a bit, you don't win (or do you?). I'll be in at launch. But... but... but... /cries
