The only item I wish they had was some kind of data pad that you can look at and read more about the stuff you found later sort of like the Destiny grimoire.

I've read that there's an in-game encyclopedia that catalogues everything you discover, but I've never seen any screenshots or video of how detailed it is.

Thanks Eddie.  That would be exactly what Iím looking for.  In all my searching I havenít come across any mention of this.  I will see what I can find out.

This is where I got the information about the in-game encyclopedia.  I don't know where the poster got the information, but the rest of the post is accurate.

For some reason, Super Stardust HD was replaced with I Am Alive.  I'm sure Sony would dearly love to drop the free games part of PS+ now that it's required for multiplayer, but they can't do that without causing an uproar.  It's almost comical how Sony went from treating PS+ like a jewel in their crown (giving it its own presentation at E3 with surprise bonus games, requiring a 70+ metacritic score) to treating it like something they scraped off the bottom of their shoes.  I'd imagine Vita support is not long for this world.  I'm sure they'll have a month or two of big releases to soften the blow, and then go back to their standard fare.  It's still a good deal, but they really did themselves in by starting off so strong with the Instant Games Collection.

My guess is that the man in the iron mask is
Spoiler for Hiden:
the real Jay. The guy that came to Earth 2 is an impostor. How/why, I have no idea.

Spoiler for Hiden:
That certainly seems to be what they're hinting at, since he spelled out "JAY" and it looked like blonde hair sticking out under the mask.  I'm guessing that means fake Jay is actually Hunter Zolomon, and what he showed Caitlin was a hologram or something to make her stop looking for Earth One Jay.

The standalone version of Bayonetta 2 (without the first game) is available for Wii U this week, as is Part II of the White March expansion for Pillars of Eternity.  Also, it looks like the XBox One version of Tron Run/r and Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale won't be out until March 1.

As for me, I'll be getting -
Day One - Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright, Tron Run/r, Bayonetta 2
Someday - Project X Zone 2, Pillars of Eternity : The White March II

I'm looking forward to getting back into Rainbow Moon again.  I hope it's cross buy.

It's not cross buy, but if you own the PS3 version, you get 50% off the PS4 version.

Where did you see this?  I was looking for information yesterday, and I couldn't find anything beyond an old comment that they were hoping to make it cross buy.

I'm not sure where I read it originally, but on their website, they say
"Rainbow Moon will launch on PS4 this February. The game will be available in the Americas on February 16 at US$14.99 and in Europe on February 17 at Ä14.99 / £11.99. Owners of the PS3 or PS Vita versions will be entitled to a special ~50% discount when upgrading to the PS4 release."

Thank you.  I wasn't trying to call you out, I just looked and couldn't find it.

No problem - sometimes I can't even remember if something I heard about a game was real or not slywink

This is worth calling out.  You can get 3 games for free to keep if you click to install them.  Jet Set Radio, Golden Axe (the original) and Hell Yeah! with DLC.  Go to any of their pages and click Install to add the package to your account (you don't have to actually install it right now).

There's supposed to be another free pack coming too.

There are some nice launch discounts this week - A Boy & His Blob is $8.49, Dark Cloud 2 is $11.24, and Deadly Tower of Monsters is $9.89.  I think the first two require XB Gold/PS+, but the Deadly Tower discount doesn't.
109  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (1/18/2016) on: January 19, 2016, 02:22:46 PM
Darkest Dungeon, The Deadly Tower of Monsters, Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, maybe A Boy & His Blob (depending on price), and I'm still trying to decide if I want to sink another 200 hours into Dark Cloud 2

Some surprise releases announced at PSX - Nuclear Throne, Fat Princess Adventures, and the FFVII HD version are all available now on PS4.

Also, the "free to start" Pokemon Picross came out on 3DS this week.  It's a nice picross game, but you're going to have to spend money if you want to progress past the first few dozen puzzles.

I just picked up Xenoblade Chronicles for the 3DS XL, so I guess start with that title, and check this one out when it hits the bargain bin. I was looking forward to a big screen RPG experience for the holidays, however, and Xenoblade Chronicles X was going to be my choice. I may need to take a closer look at Tales of  Zistiria.

I'm only about 6 hours in, but I'm really enjoying Tales of Zestiria.  It's very much a Tales game, but changes like fighting on the exploration map and the mixing of the Arthurian legends with the anime aesthetic help the game stand out.  Also, since you're looking for RPGs, Trails of Cold Steel comes out December 22 for PS3 and Vita and is supposed to be really good.
