Your link is bad, so my post is still better slywink  Actually, they took the demo down for some reason.

There's a demo available now for XBox - 1.14 GB.

Episode 2 finally has a release date - first week of February.  The post also says that there shouldn't be as big a gap between the rest of the episodes' releases.

Killzone Mercenary would be a lot more tempting if it didn't require 3.5 GB of space, plus whatever the upcoming patches take.

No, no, no.  Eddie's supposed to come in an tell everyone how great Tales of Xillia is, not complain about Vita game sizes.   icon_lol

I've been slacking on my RPG proselytizing lately, but I vow to do better smile  Xillia is a really good game with a fantastic battle system.  It's also more streamlined than most RPGs, so Xillia is a great place to jump in to the series.  I prefer Tales of Graces f, but for $10, Xillia is well worth it.

I've got the game preordered, and I'm really looking forward to it.  I'm glad to hear it's a long game, too, as my only concern was that it would be too short.  Early February is going to be amazing - Fable Anniversary, Bravely Default, and Danganronpa all within one week  drool

And apparently, AoSH used some art from Mass Effect for the backdrop of that training facility they had Peterson in. There's a small net bruhaha about it.

Spoiler for Hiden:
It's funny that they used something from Mass Effect, since when they revealed what happened to Coulson, my first thought was how similar it was to what Cerberus did to Commander Shepard.
89  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Problems with Amazon Prime on: January 08, 2014, 07:54:13 PM
Thanks for the feedback.  The problem seems to be when Amazon transfers the items to my local post office, as it takes two days for items to get from UPS to USPS to me, even after they arrive at my local post office.  However, the tracking page says that the sender requested that this happen, so I still blame Amazon.  It's ultimately their responsibility to get me my package on time, and that includes not using shipping methods that won't allow that to happen.

Quote
I always hear about people having issues with Amazon, but I've never had a single issue with them in all the years I've done business with them.  They're pretty amazing in my opinion.  In fact, I ordered something right before Christmas and it came a day earlier than I thought it would.  I'm also a Prime member.
I'd been singing their praises up to this point, too, and it's just this past few weeks when the service has gone rapidly downhill.  I can understand this happening around Christmas time, but it was after Christmas that the problem really started.  I'm hoping this is just a bump in the road, but I have a bad feeling that it's not.
90  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Problems with Amazon Prime on: January 08, 2014, 02:33:01 PM
I've been having a lot of problems with late shipments from Amazon lately.  I've been a Prime member for a while now, and all but a few items I've ordered have arrived on time.  Even this Christmas, I got all but one item on time.  However, things have fallen apart since then.  Of the last five items I've ordered, four have been late.  Has anyone else experienced this or have suggestions on how I should ask Amazon to compensate me for this terrible service?

They have a list of about 30 providers here.

Thankfully, you don't need to use StreetPass for Bravely Default.  You can add residents to your city over the internet or just keep the game running in sleep mode to wait out the building times.

I started up to the demo, went out into the world and into a dungeon, and was promptly one-hit killed by the first monster. Guess I will have to read a little closer about where I'm supposed to go smile

Even at level 2 with all my money spent on equipment, I still barely survived my first battle in the first dungeon.  I'm thinking you're either supposed to level up in the wilderness first, or I'm not using the battle system correctly.  I'm loving the demo, though.  The game is absolutely beautiful, and the gameplay looks very deep.

The January US PS+ games might have been leaked.  There was a video available on PSN for a short time showing them off.  If this is real, it's quite a lineup - Don't Starve for PS4, Bioshock Infinite, DMC, and Brothers : A Tale of Two Sons for PS3, and Smart As... and Worms : Battle Islands for Vita.

I really wish more classics RPGs were available on Virtual Console.  I'd love to see the Lufia games, Soul Blazer, and especially Terranigma.  Terranigma was released only in Europe, so there's a fully translated version.  All they have to do is put it up on VC, but they won't frown

It would be easier to just steal the $5 Amazon card slywink

I thought about recommending that, but they're usually activated at the register though, just in case some unscrupulous individual tries that.

I meant that you should steal it from the guy you're mugging icon_wink

109  Gaming / Portable Gaming & Apps / [Android/iOS] Ratchet & Clank : Before The Nexus on: December 23, 2013, 12:52:37 PM
Sony has released a free-to-play endless runner set in the R&C universe - Ratchet & Clank : Before The Nexus, a prequel to Into The Nexus.  The game is fun and it makes good use of the R&C elements, but the control isn't as tight as it should be.  The free-to-play stuff isn't bad, thankfully, and it shouldn't be too hard to earn everything just through playing the game.  You can also earn raritanium in the game that can be transferred to Into The Nexus on PS3.

Also, I'm concerned about replayability. I mean, DW has always had dozens of characters with different combos and styles.

This? One.

There could be other playable characters than just Link - Zelda, Ganon, and even some of the enemies.  They could also have different versions of the main characters (Toon Link, etc) with different looks and abilities.

119  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PS3/Vita]Final Fantasy X HD/FFX-2 HD on: December 17, 2013, 11:03:04 AM
I don't really understand what they're doing with the Vita release.  They said all along that X and X-2 would be separate games, and although they technically are, you can't buy them individually.  Also, the physical version has a cartridge (or whatever the little Vita things are called slywink) for X and a digital download code for X-2, which makes even less sense.  You'll also need lots of memory card space, as each game is ~3.5 GB.

Too many to mention, but my most anticipated are -
Bravely Default
Diablo III : Reaper of Souls
Divinity : Original Sin
Dragon Age : Inquisition
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD
Persona 5 (I'm hoping for a quick localization or simultaneous release)
Pillars of Eternity
Starbound
Tales of Xillia 2
The Legend of Heroes : Trails In The Sky 2
The Witcher 3
X
