I believe I have an L54 Demon Hunter that had finished the Acts so hopefully I'll have adventure mode unlocked.  icon_smile

You have to finish Act V in the expansion in order to unlock adventure mode.  You can import your character and start at Act V, although you'll be a bit underlevelled.  They radically changed the speed of levelling the expansion.  In base D3, I finished the four acts around level 35.  With the expansion, I hit that in the first act, and hit level 70 near the beginning of Act V.

It looks like they're using the Guild Wars model, which is perfect for me.  I played ESO for a couple months and enjoyed it, but I just don't play any game enough in a month to be worth $15.

There's also a one time use item called Ramaladni's Gift that will add a socket to an unsocketed weapon.

Day One - Citizens of Earth on PS4
Someday - Gat Out of Hell

Grey Goo looks intriguing as well.

EDIT:  Scratch that.  Looks like the original Xenoblade is nearly impossible to find anymore outside of E-bay (at around $75).  I'll just wait.  smile

Now that Nintendo is releasing Wii games for download on the WiiU, I'd be very surprised if they don't make Xenoblade available.

There's a new patch out for all versions of the game.  Here are the full patch notes, including the addition of a new kind of item (ancient, which are better than legendary) and new types of treasure goblins.

Nintendo revealed in their latest Nintendo Direct that they will be selling downloadable Wii games on the WiiU.  Super Mario Galaxy 2 is out now, with Punch-Out and Metroid Prime Trilogy coming in the next two weeks.  Each game will be half-off for the first week, and you can get SMG2 for $10.

There are some RPGs out this week - Brandish : The Dark Revenant for PSP, Lufia : The Legend Returns on Virtual Console for the 3DS, and Avernum 2 on PC.  I'll probably be getting the first two now and Avernum someday, plus the free DLC for AC Unity.

If you thought Telltale and Borderlands was an odd combination, how about Telltale doing an episodic series based on Minecraft?  It seems about the oddest mix they could have come up with, but if anyone can pull this off, it would be Telltale.
57  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Squenix, the ultimate troll on: December 13, 2014, 12:32:18 PM
The problem with current Square Enix is their utterly abysmal management of both their main franchises and their other games.  Everyone outside of Square Enix could have told them that Mindjack and Murdered : Soul Suspect would be complete flops, yet they made them anyway.  At least they had the sense to cancel sure-to-flop Gun Loco.  They let their main series languish for years, like the ridiculous development time of FF XV or the decade-long gap between Kingdom Hearts 2 and 3.  They squander their few successes, like failing to follow up on Deus Ex : Human Revolution (other than the nebulous Deus Ex Universe) and ticking people off with Tomb Raider's XBOne exclusivity.  They have three blockbuster franchises and some solid western titles.  They should be rolling in money, not scraping by with ports and spinoffs.

Lucadian Chronicles for WiiU looks interesting, so maybe that based on reviews and price.  I'll be getting Lara Croft & TTOO too, but I haven't decided if I'll get it now or wait.
61  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Squenix, the ultimate troll on: December 07, 2014, 01:37:36 PM
It's a port of the PC version, so it's more along the lines of the HD remasters like Ratchet & Clank.  I still can't believe Sony or Square Enix thought it was a good idea to make it look like they were announcing a remake and then reveal this.  It's like they want to disappoint people.

64  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (12/2) on: December 01, 2014, 09:35:01 AM
Day One - Secret Ponchos (PS+), Game of Thrones, maybe Fantasy Hero : Unsigned Legacy
Someday - Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

I wasn't planning on picking up a XBox One anytime soon, but I couldn't resist Microsoft's Black Friday offer of $330 for the XBox One, AC Unity and Black Flag, and a free game (I chose Far Cry 4), so one is on the way smile  I have one question, though - is my account completely shared between my 360 and XBO?  For instance, if I redeem a gift card on the 360, will that money be in my account for use on the XBox One?  I'm assuming so, but I'd like to make sure.

I guess the fact that I don't own a xbox 360 or ps3 means 2.0 is what I have to go with.

At least it's an easy decision slywink  If the Toy Box creation is too advanced, you could probably just download other people's creations and use any Disney characters you buy with those.
68  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes on: November 27, 2014, 11:13:17 PM
If you don't already have it, you might be better off with the original Disney Infinity, which has worlds from Pirates of The Caribbean, Monsters University, and The Incredibles, with Cars, Toy Story, and The Lone Ranger sets available separately.  Disney Infinity 2.0 only comes with the Marvel world, with Spiderman and Guardians of The Galaxy sets available separately.  There are also a wide range of various Disney characters available, but these are only usable in the Toy Box creation mode, which I would think would be too advanced for a 5 year old.

I decided to get it for the ps4. It took me over two hours to play through the "introduction" and get to the title screen. Hysterical. If I continue on at this pace, from what I'm hearing relating to overall content, I may not finish this game until Easter 2015.

Two hours?  Wow.

I doubt it took me 30 minutes to get to that point.

I know, right?  I laugh at myself, as I would imagine the average gamer gets through it in like 20 minutes.  Although that includes character creation, which probably accounted for a lot of that time.

I just got to that point and it took me about 3 1/2 hours.  I think I might have to curb my tendency to explore every inch of the map, because there's a ton of space to explore in this game.

I thought the middle of the episode dragged a bit when they showed stuff we'd already seen, but the ending more than made up for that.  Any show can do cheap twists, but it's a thing of beauty when they deliver a well-thought out surprise that makes perfect sense.  The fight at the beginning was awesome too - can't wait to see what they do in the remaining six episodes.
74  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Marvel: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on: November 19, 2014, 10:49:10 PM
The show has been excellent this year.  I was hopeful after the second half of last season, but I wasn't expecting it to be this good.  The show is doing everything well - character development, overarching story, action.  I also love how they

went full-on villain with Ward.  Too many shows do silly things to redeem their villains in order to keep a popular actor on the show *cough*Buffy*cough* so it's nice to see them avoid this.

lol I thought I was the only one who did stuff like that.  It can be quite distracting since they do so many close ups.  I'm pretty happy with the way my guy came out the second time around; the first time I mis-clicked continue too quickly and got stuck with a mostly un-customized version.  The only issue I have now is that the hair color I chose, which I thought was a jet black, is more of a blue black.  It's not horrible, but sometimes the eyebrows just look too blue which kind of bugs me.

Incidentally does anyone know if it will be possible to make any appearance (facial) alterations later in the game?  I don't want to start over just for a hair color change!

For some reason, there's no option for black hair.  There's gray, blue-black, and dark brown, but no black.

There's also a couple not listed - Rollers of The Realm for PS4/Vita, a pinball RPG and The Jackbox Party Pack for PS3/PS4, which includes You Don't Know Jack 2015 and 4 other games

Day One - Dragon Age : Inquisition for PS4, GTA V for PS4, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd for PS3, and Super Smash Bros., Rollers of The Realm
