Great impressions Lockdown, and surprise... I pretty much agree with you on every point. I'm loving the game. I played 2 games last night, the first was 1 on 1 against my friend, then 2 on 2 with some other friends. The 2 on 2 game was easily one of the best sports gaming experiences I've ever had. My friend and I lost, even though at halftime we were up by 17 points... Still, it was a great game and I forsee many late nights with this game. Bravo Sega/VC.

You know what, you guys don't want to wait for me to come back to high speed internet on the 20th of August. I'll drop from the league.
Good news is the Patriots are free for someone to dominate with  I for one would be fine with that. I'll go with whatever the majority says though The tournament starts on August 8th, so that would give us time to finish it before the league starts. And, I think using the tournament as a preseason tournament of sorts is a good idea!

Is it possible for two members of the league to live in the same house? If need be, we can just play our head-to-head games offline and then have the loser forfeit. If so, I'll be in also. My bastard brother already took the Panters, so I guess I'll take the Vikings. If someone else wants them though (as in, they've always been your favorite team), I don't mind taking some other team (preferably the Ravens or the Falcons). You unfortunately must have separate Live! accounts, and the games must be played online. Their system keeps up with it, not us so it isn't at all possible. Sorry Last year, Ralph and I encountered the same problem in the PS2 league. What we ended up doing was playing off-line in our head-to-head matchup and then told the administrator of our league who won. Apparently, he had the ability to assign forfeits, so he just gave a forfeit to the one of us who lost and a win to the one who won. If that is possible, I would be more than happy to do it.

IGN is in and... 9.4Are you kidding me? This game rivals Madden in every way and surpasses it in feature set... and it's only twenty dollars. Have fun while I'm gone!! Sweet! Thanks for the heads up. What a good thing to see before leaving for vacation!

For what it's worth, I noticed no pauses while playing the Xbox version at E3.
Also, it didn't make it into my top 5 games of the show.
Still, this is exciting because I will more than likely purchase it regardless. Now this is what I don't understand. Why would you purchase it regardless? What feature of the game makes it so that it is an instant purchase? I'm not trying to be antagonistic here, but more understand why people are willing to suspend their normal rules for analyzing a game and it's merits based on its brand. Because I'm in the mood for a horror FPS. It really depends on when it comes out though. There are so many games coming out between now and the end of the year. Games that I know I will purchase regardless: ESPN Football (real soon!) Burnout 3 Brothers in Arms Halo 2 KOTOR2 POP2 Jade Empire Conker (more than likely) Maybe Doom 2

I watched the trailer on the XBox Demo disc and wasn't that impressed with the console version. There were some pauses which may just be for the trailer, but I wouldn't be surprised to see some kind of slow down in the actual game. To it's benefit, the trailer did look pretty creepy, but I'm sure it'll be tons better on the PC. For what it's worth, I noticed no pauses while playing the Xbox version at E3. Also, it didn't make it into my top 5 games of the show. Still, this is exciting because I will more than likely purchase it regardless.

LOL!
That is great Lockdown.
By the way, I updated the Participants page, please email me or post here if I missed anyone or if anything is incorrect. Also, if you're on the list please shoot me your email address so I can add it to the page if you don't mind. That way everyone can communicate easier once the tournament starts.
Off work now, bbl.

Something like this:
PS2 Graphics 5.0 Sound 5.0 Control 4.5
XBOX Graphics 4.5 Sound 5.0 Control 4.0
Madden:
PS2 Graphics 4.5 Sound 4.5 Control 5.0
XBOX Graphics 4.5 Sound 4.5 Control 5.0
Gamecube Graphics 4.5 Sound 4.5 Control 4.5
They're a joke. GP is a flat out joke. For one, the game looks and sounds better on Xbox period.
whatever though, not worth my time.
