Woo! That was fun game. I really sucked at it, though.
Here is one that might be a little tougher:

Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Outrun 2 [not fun]
|

Anyone else think Outrun 2 just can't stand up at all to Burnout 3, PGR 2, or any of the other racers out today?
I played the original, and Outrun 2 does a good job recreating that same feel. But that feel is outdated now, making Outrun 2 about as enjoyable as getting an enema (not that I would know).

Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Play Halo on Xbox with a Keyboard & Mouse
|
on: October 05, 2004, 01:37:33 PM
|
 http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/6918/Play-Halo-on-Xbox-with-a-Keyboard-MouseLik Sang took the videogame community by storm this weekend by announcing a new entry in its product catalog: The SmartJoy FRAG, an adapter that allows Xbox and PlayStation 2 owners to connect a mouse and a keyboard to the console and replace the standard controller with the well known PC combo that has been the envy of many console gamers for years.
The SmartJoy FRAG is fully programmable and comes with pre-installed key configurations for the most popular first person shooters, including Halo, The Chronicles of Riddick, Counter Strike, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six 3, Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Unreal Championship.
Programming the adapter can be as simple as loading a built-in preset (for instance hitting F3 loads a preset for The Chronicles of Riddick). ...
Is this new option going to ruin multiplayer matches? If two players with the same skills compete, one with a controller, the other with the keyboard & mouse combo, is it a fair match? Make your voice heard in this special thread we have started in the forums.
In the following movie you can see the SmartJoy FRAG being tested in Halo.
This really could ruin multiplayer games. I know I'm a lot better with a KB and mouse than I am with the controller. Thoughts?

Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Half Life 2 Reviewed! - Updated with a score
|
on: September 30, 2004, 09:28:31 PM
|
PC Gamer UK gave Half Life 2 a 96%, the highest score they have ever given a game. The only other game that received a 96% was Half Life. "It was all in that moment when I laughed. I couldn’t believe it was quite this good. I chuckled in muddled disbelief. My nervous fingers reloaded the level, knowing that I had to see that breathtaking sequence one more time. It was then I knew for certain: Valve had surpassed not only themselves, but everyone else too. Half-Life 2 is an astounding accomplishment. It is the definitive statement of the last five years of first-person shooters. Everything else was just a stopgap. Half-Life 2 is a near perfect sequel.” From Half-Life2.net (Icarus is one of the site admins): -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Today I was able to get a World Exclusive Interview with the man that reviewed Half-Life 2 first, Chuck Osborn from PCGamer. So let’s just get straight to it.
Icarus: What was your reaction when you found out you would be the first to review Half-Life 2? Chuck Osborn: It was a mixture of excitement and trepidation, because of the responsibility of being the first one to review it.
Icarus: Was Half-Life 2 what you expected? Chuck Osborn: More
Icarus: Was it worth the wait? Chuck Osborn: Absolutely
Icarus: How long is the review? Chuck Osborn: Nine pages, plus we have a four page story telling you what you need to know about running Half-Life 2 on your system.
Icarus: Did it seem dated? Chuck Osborn: Not at all.
Icarus: Are there any spoilers in the review? Chuck Osborn: There are some mild spoilers, because you can’t review it without giving away something. I say very clearly when to stop reading if you don’t want to know anything. If you read the entire review, there are a lot of surprises I don’t talk about, because I want you to be surprised. This is not a spoiler review.
Icarus: Does it have multiplayer, if so what are they? Chuck Osborn: Counter-Strike Source is the multiplayer.
Icarus: Only CS:S, no Deathmatch? Chuck Osborn: Only CS:S
Icarus: Has it (CS:S) changed any from Beta? Chuck Osborn: It’s what they say it’s going to be, but with a few surprises
Icarus: Who did you get to play it with? Chuck Osborn: Valve as well as playing in within our own offices
Icarus: Did you get to play HL Source? Chuck Osborn: Yes.
Icarus: Can you tell me anything about HL:Source? Chuck Osborn: Nope
Icarus: Is it (HL:S) included in the review? Chuck Osborn: Yes, it's discussed in a sidebar along with a few screenshots.
Icarus: Anything you want to say the users before I go? Chuck Osborn: I'm just glad I don't have to keep my playing Half-Life 2 a secret anymore! It was killing me. Trust me...you won't be disappointed.
I absolutely can't wait.

Yes someone could easily run for 10 yards a carry even with Bledsoe. Watch what the defenders do when a QB runs out of a pass play, they do not react at all. So it really doesnt matter how fast the QB is. If the person on D is competent that is completely not the case.

About the QB runs: I voted that the D should step up and stop them because I run with McNabb from time to time and I don't want to be pegged as a cheater. Not that I'll win any games but he is one of my best weapons. Awesome Devil. Maybe we can win this vote and put an end to this. I think an honor system for any exploits is the way to go. If someone has X number of complaints on them, then the admin should step in and do something. I would agree that going 5 wide, and running right when the ball is snapped is unrealistic, cheap & shouldn't be done. Anyway, you can read the rest of my thoughts on that board.

No, Eco, you didn't abuse it. Abusing it involves, like you said, 5 out, immediately running. Honestly, going into the game, I EXPECTED IT since that's the way the Titans play. Fact is, when I thought it was coming, I would try to negate it manually. You know, use a linemen or blitz a corner - what teams do in the NFL. I had no problems with the way you used the qb run. I appreciate your honesty. Hopefully, the poll for our league won't outlaw running all together.

TML, did you honestly feel I abused running with McNair? 5 rushes, 32 yards?
I'm about to retire from this damn league because I'm now being told I can't rush with him at all, nor can I freaking roll out. WTF is that.

hehe, I hope I'd put up a fight Say, that play where you intercepted McNair then fumbled to give me back possession was crazy! I'm not sure who it was, but I just popped them. I think that's the first time *ever* I've ever seen a straight fumble. Fine game, Eco. If I do make it to the playoffs, I certainly hope I don't draw you first round! :o You mean the play I intercepted Brady (not McNair!), ran it out of the endzone only to be clocked by you to result in another turnover? That was crazy. I think I actually yelled out of disbelief. Scott McGarrahan made the interception and paid greatly.

It's Forza's time to shine.
The main thing I saw the GT guys pimping at E3 was that thing where you can print out stills from the game. Kinda lame and neat at the same time.

I have mostly been playing Burnout 3, ESPN NFL 2K5 (always) & Fable.
I have Tiger Woods 2005 which I haven't opened yet and Def Jam Fight For New York. It's actually fun and I dislike Rap music.
My friend and I are going to play Xmen this weekend.
HL2 is fully preloaded and ready to roll as soon as it's released and Halo 2 is preordered.
Sheesh.
