No tears today. Pretty bummed out and deeply concerned about the direction the country is headed. I hope Obama can prove me wrong and right the ship. The demographics of our nation are changing so rapidly that I don't have a lot of confidence that the Republican party can continue as they are. I'm also very concerned about an Obama that doesn't have to worry about being reelected. 😨 See you all in 4 years, or in the other gt forums , or maybe here if Obama goes nuts and spends us even more into a shithole.

I do think Obama is worse than Bush, absolutely, and I don't even think Bush was a very good president either.
Hep, keeping to the play book I see.
For one, you wouldn't even be allowed in the same room with me when discussing your delusional ass"knowledge" of economics. LOL, I almost spilled my drink when I read that, pussy cat.
Race was brought up twice in my post. Let me help you with the reasoning behind it.
1) Obama's mentors have been quoted multiple times talking about white people. As recently as this week the pastor that gave the benediction at his inauguration said whites are going to hell. I won't bother bringing "Reverend" Wright up...
2). I don't have a racist bone in my body.
I have spoken with multiple African Americans that cannot give me any other reason for voting for him other than his race. If you don't think that is widespread, your more delusional than I thought.
I don't even know wtf else you said and you deserve no further response, insinuating that I'm racist now? Picture Perfect Democrat Playbook.

Romney gets my vote because:
I'm starting with social issues, which obviously are the most controversial, and believe it or not I'm the most understanding of the opposing view point.
He is pro-life He is against gay marriage; please note, I do not believe gay partners should be prohibited from receiving the same benefits married couples receive in regard to taxes, insurance etc. From a purely religious stand point however, I believe "marriage" is between a man and a woman and I ask you to please let this go, as it is not worth discussing further than this.
In addition, Obama has illustrated through the past 4 years that he is a huge proponent of big, enormous government.
He also buys into the bullshit of the top 1%, which is just that, bullshit. If you would like further clarification on this issue, I'm certain a local community college in your area offers remedial math at a pretty decent cost.
His mentors are definitive socialists, and some are straight up racist in addition to being socialists. This is factual, and while I'm sure you're going to yell for links, I urge you to do your on research because if you're questioning this you obviously have not done so.
He has increased the debt over $5 trillion in 4 years. Honestly, I could have just said that and stopped and it would have been more than sufficient evidence to get this fool out of office.
He has attempted to institute the most costly healthcare program in our history, without congressional consent. This country cannot come close to affording this asinine plan. He lied about the taxes related to obamacare and he pushed it through congress without a vote. He hasn't passed a freaking budget...
I could literally go on all night, but I'm waiting on takeout at PF Changs and it looks like they're coming.
Worst, most unqualified president in my 31 years on this earth and I will never comprehend how a reasonable person regardless of their political affiliation cannot see this.
Hopefully, going forward, our candidates, regardless of party affiliation, will be fully vetted, because it is BLATANTLY obvious that the media vetting process of this loon was not completed, maybe due to his race or his command of the podium (when a TelePrompter is present of course), whatever the reason, he was not properly vetted and I'm hopeful America will consider it "lesson learned."
That is all, time to eat.

However I've never been more concerned about our country than I am now and believe with all my heart if you can't cut through all the crap and realize how much of a failure this community organizer, unqualified shill, we as a country voted into office has been than you really need to step back and reexamine things. I completely get the social issue disagreements and understand how someone could be pro-choice et al, but this election is so much bigger than those issues. I have nothing but love for you - Tu PAC Go vote Tuesday even if you have to ride the short bus to get there 😉

I'm thankful for Gaming Trend and enjoy participating in discussions here. Despite everything that has gone on here, I don't think any of you are ignorant or any of that. I know Hepcat was joking a lot of the time and I'd happily play him in whatever game we are playing nowadays ( I really only play FIFA now though).
I am, however, extremely concerned about the direction this country is going and Obama has compounded this worry exponentially. I've never been a Romney fanboy, or anything like one, and prior to August supported him with the idea "lesser of too evils". Now, however I feel he is 100% more qualified and ready to lead this country out of the mess we are in (caused by republican and democrat alike, they're all incompetent, 3 day workweek fools), than this inept, clueless, verging very closely on socialist idiot we have in office now.
I've had fun, and been annoyed both the past however long we've discussed this.
I realize my tone may have changed midway through the "discussion" and i typically refrain from even getting into these types of discussions online because they're pretty pointless, as ATB said.

Rick, it does not apply to any of those.
I said I Kid, sort of, only because I think there is a larger percentage of Obama supporters that really should be tested in some way before voting. Controversial obviously, and I realize and respect why that will never happen. Still though, after watching and listening to many interviews of Obama supporters this past year the thought entered my mind for the first time.
Similar to the time I was almost hit head on by a 90 yo lady going the wrong way on a one way street. Elderly people should really be tested occasionally after a certain point to determine whether they're capable of driving safely. If I were 80, I'd want to be tested .

I'm optimistic obviously, but it's too close for comfort.
This thread actually perfectly illustrates the liberal mentality that I find so nauseating and the only impact it'll have only impact on my life is reinforcing my belief that the we are royally screwed if your type are given more control. Hep's posts in this thread are a perfect model of the democrat playbook that has plagued our country for years.
We have a fundamental disagreement, in that I believe if you or anyone label Obama as anything but an epic failure you probably ought to be tested before being allowed to vote. (I kid, sort of)
That is all. Start your spinning now.

Oh that's wonderful gellar really, but so incredibly not in the ballpark.
Quotes:
"Looks to me like Romney's momentum is continuing"
It has clearly continued since the first debate.
"He has drawn even in Ohio"
He has drawn even and is ahead in some pools. This Illustrates the point made above regarding Romney's momentum, in case your having trouble following.
Quote regarding lead amongst Independents Romneys "momentum" has led to a shift in independent support with Romney leading in many polls.
The fallacy quote is true. My opinion of course.
The attempted diversion from the main point (Romney's Momentum), says all I need to know about you all.

Trying hard today gell?
It's simple. I rarely visit poll sites from any other referrer outside of Drudge, Gamingtrend, and Twitter. I The methodology each poll uses is of no concern to me. They're irrelevant to me. Prior to you all's commitment of focusing on poling methodology and which polls I look at, I gave them little thought. I could care less about Nate Silver or whoever else. Historically I've used polls to gauge momentum or shifts. This, conversation started because I posted in response to the idea that Obama has some big lead, I posted proof that things have shifted drastically. Are there still polls with O leading? Of course, but my point that started this sideshow discussion garbage, was and still is accurate. Anyone that thinks this is in the bag for either candidate is delusional.

Try again.
2 Points that may clear it up for you
I rarely visit RCP, I visited it for the first time ever when Romney took the lead in the Electoral College. That started your word vomit about RCPs no swing electoral college poll, which lead to an attempt at wit on your part.
Secondly, on one hand you all spout nonsensical gibberish accusing me of focussing too much on national polls and how superior sites like RCP are and the other you state that I'm some how a diehard fan of RCP. Can't have it both ways.
