NFL has been sidestepping this stuff for years. Glad that it's dropping on them with the fury.  However, not everyone is at fault for every single player's lifestyle.
Agree completely.

I did this as well 2 weeks ago now and had some of your same fears.  We're now 90% unpacked, which is due to my lovely wife a lot more than me.   I  went with a moving company, but still on the day of the move I was stressed and exhausted.  It gets better, just look forward to enjoying you're new home.

We are having a birthday here tomorrow for an 82 year old with 15 guests , so it's possible to get it all done!

I agree with you about repairs though....  I made the mistake of utilize our realtors "home services" department, which claim they will handle they setup of all utilities.  Let's just leave it at that department didn't do shit and I wish I'd gone with my guy and done it all myself.  All are setup now, but the water was cut off for a brief moment, which now results in a fog horn sound when we flush the master toilet.  Ugh.

The enormous amount of thugs in the league is screwing up my fantasy league, that's for sure.  Innocent until proven guilty and all that of course.  One guy in my league had both Ray Rice and AP.

I'm still so burnout on FPS shooters that I know this isn't for me at all, not any more.

I want it to succeed very well though, for a handful of reasons (I.e. Shares owned!).

Hope you all and the rest of the world enjoy the hell out of it.  From playing the beta I do have a hard time understanding how this game cost. $500 million...

Ha, I suck at arena. Six is my best run, but usually I win 2-3.
If you only win 2-3 itís still a better value than buying packs outright.

Very true, better value, and typically fun smile

I suck at Arena too.  My best in constructed is 11, and I agree that this season is tough so far.

It will also still have the most polished apps, which is ultimately all I care about now.

I've owned many Amdroids and fine them fine, but when I switched from the Evo to the 4s r was night and day.

Later I switched my 4s for the HTC One, kept it for 13 days and traded for the 5S.

My wife is also in for the 4.7 6.  I'm happy with my jailbroke 5s for now, the watch is intriguing though.

The idea that it not require a phone is ludicrous.

It may be ludicrous with today's technology, but in my opinion it's the only way these things will ever be worth a damn. I'm not spending $350 to carry around a piece of equipment that offers the same functionality as my phone as long as I'm also carrying around my phone.

Wake me up in a few years when I get most of the functionality of today's smartphones on my wrist, without being tethered to a brick. Heck, I don't even need Dick Tracy voice calls - if I could get email, texts, and GPS for fitness apps without being tied to another device I'd be interested.

It's just disappointing because this is not the future. This is a poor man's simulation of the future.

I don't actually disagree with that.

I watched the whole season. To me this is a show that would have been much better on a network like HBO or Showtime. Let them really go for the brutality. Still it was worth watching. I'll watch season 2 for sure.

I missed this thread the first time around but find this comment a bit disturbing.  The show is plenty freaking graphic and is made all the better by the fact it's not on HBO.  Don't get me wrong I like GOT better, but only because I like the story better.  Not because the T&A HBO insists on shoving down our throat.  I find it hard to believe one that isn't disturbed in the head wants to see more brutality.

Brutality in TV or movies doesn't bother me, but I don't seek it out and by all means don't think Vikings is less of a show by showing what they show (For those that haven't watched it, it pushes the limit for cable, which is why I'm all the more perplexed).

Just saying.

My comment was based on season 1, season 2 was much more graphic. It's not that I want violence and gore for the sake of it. I want it to properly portray the brutality of the characters. Imagine how much less of an impact the flaying scene would have had if they cut away when he first start slicing in. It was really disturbing but IMO it had to be.

If you're going to show Vikings, show them how they really would have acted, don't give me the Disney version.

Point taken and I agree to a point.  I personally think Vikings is a great example of a show on cable done right, pushing the boundaries just enough to get the subject across.

I wasn't trying to be argumentative, but when a show I want to watch is on HBO I don't cheer, because I know they'll go overboard with things just because they can.

Vikings is refreshing and I really hope the history channel does more shows with such high production standards and great acting.

Man, that's a shame about the NHL title.  Now if someone else would pick up the puck and run with it.

I'm a console version behind, and since all the sports titles were abandoned on the PC anyway, I'm not purchasing a thing.
It's EA, shouldn't be a surprise.  Bad company, good games here and there, but bad company.

Msft looks like an awfully temping short, with Windows 8, Windows Phone, the surface and the Xbone.

Just saying, don't wish it for those that have the Xbone, but I'd imagine things in Seattle aren't all that pleasant.

This makes me happy.  I've always loved Peggle and have played each one to completion except for this one due to the timed exclusive thing.  More importantly, my daughter loves Peggle even more than me and I'm stoked to have another PS4 game for her to play soon.

Peggle rocks.

My kids are a few years behind yours, so I'll be interested to hear what people have to say.  I think you're already ahead of the game just knowing that you do need to take some precautions this early on.  A not-so-computer-savvy friend of mine had her 5 and 7-year-olds freely using youtube.  "They're just watching videos about this video game they like!"  She had no idea how many of the 'related video' links on the side of the screen were already venturing into inappropriate territory.

Man, I'm interested to hear others thoughts on this too.  Mine are 7 and 4, and I don't want to be a prude, but I'd be hard pressed to let them play an online game at this age.  Maybe this is because all crap i heard playing MW2 and everything else.

So, it really doesn't matter to me, but I'm kind of surprised no one here is playing this.  I'm not either, but for a war game on the ipad it has stellar reviews and a handful of you chaps normally dig war games.

Just curious to me is all smile
33  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 8/29/14 -- Labor Day Weekend Edition! on: August 30, 2014, 12:34:40 AM
Seeing as my PS4 is not plugged up, nor is my TV, and I'm staying at my in-laws through Sunday (moving trucks will get us moved into the new house on Sunday), I'll be sticking with iPad games tonight, which of course means Hearthstone.  There is a slight chance I'll checkout another ipad game, but that probably wont happen.

My ps4 is in a box here in the closet in front of me, and the TV in here does have HDMI, but I have no idea where exactly my games are...

Oh well, blessed to have a new house and I can do without TLOU for a few more days.  It really seems my next game needs to be D3...

Have you guys tried the multiplayer now that you've finished the single player?

It's incredibly good, one of the best multiplayer modes that really flows out from the single player experience.

That said, there are some people that are way too good at the game, but it's still a fun mode to try if you have a good team.

I haven't quiet beaten the game but I must be so very close.  I plan on trying out the multiplayer before jumping into the dlc.  Colin at IGN doesn't like MP at all and he adamantly stated that TLOU Mp is the best he has played.

You should get FIFA on ps4 YK.  I doubt any of your Xbone friends will have it, and at least one of your PS4 friends will smile (I need to add you first of course)

Madden is getting better reviews this year.  If I didn't have so much to play already I'd get it.  I'm considering D3 though instead.

I'll be getting Fifa 15 for the PS4 as well, so make that two, and add me to your friends if you haven't already, its scraper on the PSN.

Also, the Infamous DLC comes out this week, so I'll be getting that.

I'll add you as soon as I unpack my ps4.' We packed up the big tv, recover, wii and ps4 last night to move to the new house.

Looking forward to some soccer with you this fall, and YK.
