No gaming for me this weekend, headed to St. George Island for a week with the family.

Beach fun, fishing and more!

This is rapidly becoming the best time to be an RPG fan since the height of the PS2-era.  That looks fantastic!

Man, I agree completely. So glad this type of rpg is coming back with gorgeous graphics...

Amazingly Cool PS4 Features Fixes/Removes The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt "Too Small Text, Small Icons On Map" Issue

Quote
On PlayStation 4 you can enable "ZOOM" function. It really works for this issue. To Activate "ZOOM" feature on PlayStation 4 follow the steps provided below:

Go To Setting
Select Accessibility Option
Select ZOOM IN
Now that you have enable "ZOOM" feature, you can press PS Button and Square to ZOOM IN, enabling you to scan the screen using the left thumbstick. To exit/zoom out, press Circle"

I tried this last night and it does work but it isn't a great solution.  All you can do it look at stuff which helps but the buttons don't work so you can't say "take all" when you are looking over spoils.  You have to exit the magnifier then use the buttons.  Not a huge deal but it would be nicer to just have them make things a bit bigger by default.

Agree, though glad it is an option.  What's up with the small text crap lately?

Pre-Patched XB1 gameplay  Gamespot did a stream yesterday of the XB1 version.  There was some frame rate issues in cut scenes  but the game looked go even at 30 FPS

Still undecided on which version I will be getting

Between PC and Xbone?

I'll be playing Hearthstone, FIFA 15 (PS4), and maybe some Wolfenstein (PC).  Can't wait for The Witcher 3

They were the last of the big ones to fall to evil, but boy did they fall in the end. Even EA comes off as the good guys these days thanks to Ubisoft's efforts.

That is a true statement, and it pains me to admit that, because I really dislike EA, other than FIFA.

Well CDPR knew what they had I guess, it is nice to see a game reviewed a week before release.  Steam version already bought via gift cards (work gave me $50 in Best Buy cards for my usual exemplary work 😎) so we shall see how a i5 with GTX680 performs.

How did you use a Best Buy Gift card for a Steam Key... just wondering

I *think* you can buy Steam Card Keys at Best Buy?

After Watch Dogs and Unity I think I have hit the Ubisoft wall. So Syndicate would have to get really stellar reviews for me to purchase it.
I agree.

Wow the reviews are off the charts.  This one will be bought, and I don't normally buy RPGs.

And before anyone throws themselves into the defense of preorders right now, ask yourselves this: What products beyond games do you buy before they are done and tested, based on the creator's controlled marketing efforts alone? Movies? Nope. You get reviews of those first. Physical goods? Please.

Umm the Apple watch?  Or any new Apple product really and they are much more expensive than a game.  And yes I'm part of The Witcher III million gamer march.

Apple fans are in a class of their own though, and have always been. I'll never understand it. It's more like a religion than capitalism.

Lol, In the past I would have thumbs up this comment.   When I switched, on a whim from an android phone to a 4s 3 or so years ago I simply can't.   There is nothing religious about it, we, me, just simply find it superior.  The apps are getting better though, so that gap is also improving.  To each their own is a true statement, but apple fans being a religion and all that blah blah is asinine.

But in the context of preordering conversations it is totally fair to bring up their market.  They deliver good stuff but if you want it on release day you had better jump in before any real reviews are out.

Good point for sure.

I think the problem lies with the fact there is nothing else coming out and this game looks pretty damn cool.  Developers seem to be asleep lately.

As much as anything I think it's the fact this game looks pretty damn cool (from someone that didn't play the others), and there is really shit else to buy lately.   Developers sleeping is a bigger issue in my mind

My friend Kvothe is allowed in there and he told me there hasn't been a new post there in over a month.

I definitely didn't give it enough time, I get that.  I guess I really wasn't in the mood for racing, and the first level of the demo that has you going through fields/trees running from the cops didn't interest me at all.  Oh well.

He's a fool that's worked the system, and scammed people out of lots of money, and frankly should be behind bars, at least for a bit (okay, we are getting into Law, Not R or P though).  If there is anyone here that can defend this fool, I'd love to hear it, and I promise to not even respond if it I takes it to R&P where this conservative isn't allowed (his friend is though).

Of all things we've ever talked about, I even think Fireball and Hepcat would agree this guy's scum, like that dark gum/shit scum that's on the concrete of a dilapidated parking lot, scum.

And he for sure isn't R nor P, he calls himself a reverend but he's no better than shit on my 4 year olds cleat after practicing soccer in our back yard.  He wishes he was P, and certain people that are actually P, seem to wish he was P too, that's the craziest thing of it all!     It's so hard for an actual H (Human) to fathom, I'm just enormously fascinated by it, so I thought I'd share.

It's Sham, or Shyster, or street rat, I can't remember.  He's neither R nor P, so this by all means shouldn't be controversial in this desert of ours.

Holy hell though, who on earth could respect him?  He has his own show?  It's  worse than a bad Saturday night live skit.  It's not respectful, nor Christian for me to say what i feel like doing if this no talent fluke of a person walked in the room.

Not for me, deleted super fast.

Do developers get statistics like that?  Just curious.

Cool idea for a thread, nothing to add this point.

I just found out that the BBC is doing Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, could be cool ( though not a movie).

Also,  The Man In the High Castle as an amazon exclusive?  What?  Great book...  Had no clue..
