It quit being about Politics when this traitorous fool was elected.  That is when my attitude changed, it isn't about right or left.

You're a European soccer fan, and you didn't know that monkey/chimp/ape and associated noises and/or banana tossing isn't racist?

 Roll Eyes

Indeed, I do get it now, I've always used that word in that way and will stop now.  Believe it or not, wait for it, I could give two shits, truly.
Hopefully Tuesday my point will once again be proven.

If I offended anyone with my signature I'm sorry, it will stay as it is till this traitor is either behind bars or out of office.  It won't change though, and if it's offensive to you now, you need to take it to heart.

Puppet chimp, lol, that wasn't meant to be racist but I can see why it may have been taken that way.  Sorry.

Very much a puppet, chimp was used in place of talentless imbecile that lacks the skill set to run a baskin Robbins, much less the most powerful country on earth.

Not the place though.
So, you used an unnecessary term to call a man an animal, an act which has its roots in historically bigoted hate-speech, and used it to describe the president?  And you didn't intend for it to be racist?

I'd have to guess that people anywhere wouldn't see it as an unintentional gaff for anyone who grew up in this country and is over the age of 10.

I've never used it as a racist term, I use it when talking about idiots.  Based on this discussion, I realize the error in that and will stop using it like that.

I haven't a racist bone in my body.  O's issues have nothing to do with his color.  I'd vote for Dr. Carson over anyone currenty being discussed as a GOP nominee.

The demographic makeup of attendees at my wedding would be the best proof...  It was a true melting pot smile

I get it though, I've not heard chimp used as a racist term before, but I realize it is and will stop using it.  That was an unfortunate mistake, going forward it will be replaced with idiot or imbecile which in some way seems to tame.

Stormfront, wow, that was witty.  I've not said a racist thing ever on here, so not sure where that came from Teg.

Yeah it's such an epic, epic fail. I'm actually surprised at the lack of anger and LOLZ towards the devs on this one.

Though the fail did get me to buy Horizon 2, which is excellent so I guess I've got that working for me.

Agree completely with this.

I'll just watch the approval rating of our idiot leader plummet and quietly contemplate how people as smart as you all don't get it.

What would happen if you just kept your political thoughts out of Gaming Trend and used other outlets to express them?  You don't seem to enjoy what happens when you share your politics here, and nobody here enjoys when you share them.  If you keep them elsewhere, win win!  There are lots of other things we can talk about here, and things to go pretty well for you here when you stick to talking about that other stuff.

smile let's all accept bullshit censorship and be happy with no other points of view.

That's my response, and I don't disagree with you pug, but find it absolutely sad.

I'll take you're advice.  I will, wake up, will stay, but that's it.

Oh to be one.  Oh no Naednek, I can hardly contain myself.

Really?  AA, you were offended by my signatures?  I've edited it, and will promptly remove the reference to you.  I'll stop with the truthful signatures that I'm posting on a forum I've been on since high school.  Seems to be another sign of how far things have come.  I'll sit back and watch the ghost town known as R&P with the neutered responses from people I do consider a friend,  thank you Adam, and continue to be amazed by where we've come as a country (that was a restrained response in case you were wondering).  My signature will stay as it is (without the aa reference) and I hope and look forward to conversing with you about games.

Sorry to disrupt your little nest of opinions that all but a few are exactly the freaking same.  Will not happen again Senior Ron and Mr Naednek who is apparently truly deliberating on it.  Wow.

I played this a lot over the weekend. It's starts out slowly with a lot of story elements. I almost couldn't make it through, because I found it difficult to keep all the characters in check and know what was going on. But once you break through the gameplay becomes pretty fun and enjoyable.

Thanks, I haven't bought it yet, good to know.

21  Gaming / Portable Gaming & Apps / Re: [iOS] Terra Battle, from the creators of Final Fantasy on: October 10, 2014, 05:44:03 PM

Quote from: Gratch on October 10, 2014, 03:18:39 PM

So Terra Battle is the newest games from Mistwalker, Hironobu Sakaguchi's studio.  It's a big departure from their previous efforts, and sees them trying to capture some of the lightning in a bottle that Puzzle & Dragons was able to do so well.  I was very skeptical about this tile-based battler, but it's really starting to grow on me.

The basic premise is very simple:  moving your tiles to surround an enemies on both sides allows you to attack.  However, there is a ton of strategy involved as you add in elements such as gaining additional attacks through ally positioning, unique skills for each character, massive combos, movement limits, etc.  I initially wrote the game off, but it's really started growing on me.  It's like a hyperactive chess game where every move matters.  Throw in a roster of 165 unique recruitable characters, a wide array of equipable items, and a full fledged job system, and this starts to become really interesting.  I'm still very early on, but have been having an absolute blast with this.

It does have one huge, glaring wart though:  an IAP energy timer system.  Each battle requires stamina, which slowly recharges over time.  So you can only play for a set number of battles before your stamina runs out, or you can (of course) buy more through IAP.  This hasn't been an issue so far (I just play a few battles then set it aside), but I can see it being a deal breaker for some folks.

I'd give it a tentative thumbs up.  It's free to try, with the only cost being whatever you decide to pay in IAP.  Doubt it'll be something I play over the long haul, but it's certainly been a worthwhile diversion for the last few days.  Oh, and did I mention it has an Uematsu soundtrack?  smile

Website is , it has some details and gameplay vids.

Appreciate the heads up, sounded good till the timer shit, lost me there.  Wish they had a premium version, one time fee that removed that shit.  That's what it is, it's shit, and I'll never pay to extend a timer.  Fuck that.

I care not about the console war, or whatever, but I have lost a bit of faith in Ubi Soft for this debacle.

Debacle,  that is exactly what this is.  An avoidable, unnecessary debacle.

Will it make me not by AC?  No , I'm kinda tired of AC regardless of the resolution.

I find praise of the actual writing fairly baffling, as to my eyes/ears it is pretty amateurish and simple.  There is no elegance or love of language in there - he's just telling the story... plainly.

That is skillful writing. A good writer doesn't try to impress with his writing skillz. He lets the writing stay in the background, allowing the reader to focus unhindered on the story. This is one of the first lessons I learned when I got into writing. A writer isn't a showman trying to impress his readers with flair and clever sentences. He's a craftsman carefully laying down a story in a way that allows the readers to forget the writer was even there in the first place.

Wow great post Tilt, I agree completely.

Absolutely not because I'm not eligible for an upgrade, as my wife will be next month and will be getting the 6.  It's a great device, but personally after having larger devices, including the One and the Evo before it, I'm more inclined to feel the 5s is a perfect size.

Any mobile work I do is done on my iPad, which is enhanced by my jailbroke iPhone, so much.that I'm happy to wait.

Plus, I wear a suit every day and bigger is not better for me.
