wow, the dwarf section is huge. 41 hours in and the end is nowhere in sight, but the more I think of my next playthrough the more I think it'll be some time down the road instead of restarting again right away, don't get me wrong, this is my GOTY and I love it but I think spending another (probably) 70-80+ hours on it again right away may make it feel like a chore.
Yea, that dwarf area goes on forever. For party conversations, you can't beat Oghren. I'm in the dwarf section now and it is huge! By the way, did anyone notice they added more DLC today? Return to odsgar?

I fired up the game tonight and got notified of some new DLC, a weapon called The Edge that downloaded for free. looking around it's only available to anyone who registered before November 30th. here are the stats, I imagine it's a weak item for those who have been playing awhile but it's nice for me since I've only apparently been playing for 20 hours. It's actually the best dual wield dagger in the game. I used it from the moment I got it, until I won the game, 24 levels later. All of the mods apply to both hands; so the critical and damage mod will increase the main hand weapon ability an amazing amount. For example, that +5 damage applies to both wielded weapons, so it raises your overall damage output an insane amount. It's kind of ridiculous that such an overpowered item is available from the start of the game. Yes, that dagger rocks especially after the patch. Dual wielding that with the sword made from the meteor (with three rune slots) and my guy kicks major ass!

I dropped Sten from my party almost immediately because he couldn't hold up in a fight. Did much better with Dog in my party until I was able to grab Shale.
This! Sten gets his ass kicked in every fight. Dude gets beat like a rented mule every time.

I wonder what time Impulse will release the game.
found an answer on their forums: Download will be available around 10 AM Pacific tomorrow (Nov 3rd). This time and date is set by EA.
DLC codes will go out around the same time. You should receive an email with them. There will also be a pop-up in Impulse when you first run the game that will list them. Silly question, but if I leave my computer on with Impulse running, will it automatically download it while I'm at work or do I manually have to start it?

Question regarding Steam: Can I load steam on my laptop and install Torchlight there as well or will I have to buy a separate copy for my laptop?
Just wondered how Steam handles these things...
Once you login you can download to that computer, so you can use it multiple places. You just have to be logged in with the purchasing account to play. Saved games are stored locally, iirc, so it's not like battle.net with characters saved online. Thank you. I installed steam on my laptop and it downloaded and installed just fine. Perfect for gaming a lunch!

I'm stuck at work - can't wait to get home and start downloading. It sounds great!
Just so I can set my expectations, how long did it take to download?
It wasn't too bad - about 20 min to download and install. (yes, I know I am answering my own question...)

I saw this at Target last night for $3.74 and picked it up on a whim thinking it's got to be worth at least that. I put it in the pile of games to play eventually when I got home.
I just saw this thread and now I'm going to install it!

Looking forward to getting this game on release day and these devs typically don't disappoint.
Hoping the hype machine hasn't caused my expectations to be out of line with reality...

I had a good experience at TRU with the B2G1 for my recent Wii purchase. I was able to stock up on controllers as well as getting some games for the kids (which I am saving for Christmas). Both my local TRUs had plenty of stock of everything I needed. The staff at both TRUs have been very helpful.
I used to get all my 360 games at Best Buy (or used on this forum) but as previous posters mentioned, Best Buy is a pain in the ass!

Cool. I appreciate the great recommendations.
I managed to pick up Boom Blox and My Sims on clearance at the Target secret shelf. Also, I see TRU is having a sale next week.
I'm going to get Wii Fit and EA Active for the Wife as well.
I'm intrigued by the backward compatibility. I've seen what I think are gamecube controllers even at Target. These would be wired, correct?

Hello. With the recent $50 price drop and the extra $25 gift card from Amazon, I’m finally taking the plunge and getting a Wii. This will mostly be for my two girls 8 and 5 but I’d like to play some of the great Nintendo style and platform games for myself as well.
For those of you with a Wii and small kids, what can you recommend for games (remember, I have girls ages 8 and 5). Based on my limited research, I’m looking to get the following games: - Mario Kart - Littlest Pet Shop (my girls love these things) - My Sims (maybe) - Animal Crossing (maybe) - Mario Galaxy - Namco Museum - Super Paper Mario
Can you guys recommend anything else for the kids? Any other advice?
What about for adult gamer? I’ve got an Xbox 360 and a gaming PC where I play the typical shooters and RPGs. Recent games I have enjoyed are Sacred 2, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Neverwinter Nights 2, LEGO Star Wars/Indiana Jones/Batman, Far Cry 2, Fable 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, Gears of War 2, Crackdown, Soul Caliber 2, etc.
Thanks for your help!

I played the retail version with no problems. However, I only updated to 2.31 and never moved to 2.34 because of all the bugs. Again, I never had any problems with 2.31. Of course, I couldn't get the Xmas Island content (released in 2.34) but other than that, I was good to go.
