Kinda looking forward to life without Zach and Marty. it'll be fun.

Hoping Gomez... I mean Parise, goes to Pitt. I'll get to see him on national TV every weekend!

I was kinda hoping Marty retired, but if he wants to leave, I'm good with that.

Exactly what I was thinking. He only has 2 years left at that money and would immediately become their #1 D-Man (which wouldn't be hard). Worth a shot.

Bouwmeester for Kovalchuk.

Get it done!   icon_twisted

I have a nice, shiny, Volchenkov all ready for you.

Better be the 'classic' Popeye where he talks to himself all the time like Robin Williams did!

Hey Devil, any chance you guys would want Paul Martin back?  Trade him to ya for Parise's rights...as everyone and their mother seem to be reporting the Pens are pushing pretty hard to get his rights.

I don't want Martin and and you ain't getting Zach.  icon_smile

Pens should worry more about D and try to get Suter. They let up more goals in 6 games than Kings did all playoffs.

So far he's going to:

Toronto
Boston
NY
Minnesota
Detroit
Chicago
Carolina
Pittsburgh
and probably 20 other teams.

He's staying

Nobody even approached Lou for his rights.

I wanted to kill Oates for the PP...

Adam Oates should be dragged into the parking lot and used as a speed bump for everyone leaving the arena!!!!  icon_mad

If I read it right. The Devils have allowed 10 goals while on the PP and 9 goals on the PK!!

Kinda hope Marty hangs 'em up.

But who are they going to get to replace him? There's not exactly a lot of starter-caliber Goalies up for grabs this post season. Maybe Bernier from LA, but I'm betting he ends up on another team. Heck the Devils are so screwed with the cap they couldn't even make a play for Luongo - not that they'd want to or anything.   Tongue

Give someone a chance to play - It has to happen at some point.

Remember if Marty goes, his $5.2 goes with him I wouldn't bother spending all of that on a goalie either. Capgeek says the Devils have 28M to play with next year but I don't want Luongo.

Parise will get 2M of that 5 that would be freed up, spend the other 3 on a goalie (if that) and you're back in business.

Also...you could do a lot better than Zubrus, Poni and Salvador (though I like him) with 8M.
60  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: 2012 NHL Playoffs (LA Kings: Stanley Cup Champs) on: June 13, 2012, 02:46:56 AM
The call was warranted. Not a problem there.

I had a issue with the hit on Gionta not getting anything. It was prior to the Bernier and if THAT call was made, maybe the Bernier hit never happens.

Now that doesn't excuse the shitty PK/great PP, but it's a HUGE momentum changer in a championship deciding game.

From there, the Racicot pick on the 4th goal just crushed any hope.

It was unfortunate that the officials played such a prominent role in a game of that magnitude.

I want to make it clear that the Kings may well have won anyway, and I give them all the credit in the world, but the way I feel right now is that it sours the whole experience. I feel like a Bruins fan blaming the refs... icon_wink

I'm sure you guys would feel the same way if those calls were the other way around. It was just deflating that we didn't get to see the teams actually fight it out.

Doesn't matter now, congrats Kings!
61  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: 2012 NHL Off-Season on: June 12, 2012, 12:48:30 PM
Kinda hope Marty hangs 'em up.

Would have been nice to end his career with a 4th Cup and Conn Smythe, but I'm guessing they got closer this year than they will next.

At least he beat the Rags.
62  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: 2012 NHL Playoffs (Finals) on: June 12, 2012, 02:12:03 AM
Just want to congratulate the Kings and their fans. It's an awesome, awesome feeling and a long time in the making.

They turned it on and dominated when it mattered most. Great team and they deserve it.

Enjoy every second!
63  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: 2012 NHL Playoffs (Finals) on: June 12, 2012, 01:51:40 AM
It'll be interesting to watch Bettman hand The Cup to Pierre Racicot and then see Dan O'Rourke hold up the Conn Smythe.
64  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: 2012 NHL Playoffs (Finals) on: June 12, 2012, 01:23:27 AM
HA  - Now the refs just running picks for the Kings.

Not that they may not have won this thing anyway but boy does this suck.
65  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: True Blood on: June 12, 2012, 12:59:36 AM
Disappointed again.

Might take the season off until my buddy is no longer running the show.
66  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: 2012 NHL Playoffs (Finals) on: June 12, 2012, 12:54:09 AM
Unfortunate the season will end like that.

Gionta wasn't against the glass, so that one didn't count?

Such a fun series. What a shame.

68  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: 2012 NHL Playoffs (Finals) on: June 07, 2012, 02:54:51 AM
Well, I was wrong...as usual.

Honestly kinda stinks. Would have liked the Kings to take it at home, especially with gellsy there.

If they win in Jersey it won't be as much fun.

But if they lose... icon_wink
69  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: 2012 NHL Playoffs (Finals) on: June 07, 2012, 02:32:50 AM
Nope - It's over.

I'm not one to bitch about the refs, but that call was so weak.

Gotta kill it though.

Matter of time now before the Kings take the lead.

Tough for Marty though because he's deserved a lot better in this series than to be swept.

As I watch season come to an end my mind wanders to the start of next season when the Eastern Conference Champions will retain their captain and be picked to finish 4th in their division.

Not league, not conference, DIVISION!!!

I can't believe that this is the best hockey the NHL has to offer, though.  Ugh.

The Devils don't even have a skill player on the roster with the hands to elevate a puck and hit the top shelf.

Unless you're a Kings fan, the Finals games have been snoozers.

Yeah - Every team has 5, 20-Goal guys on their roster.

Could it be that the Kings are great and are steamrolling the Devils like every other team?

It IS the best the NHL has to offer. Only 2 teams were good enough to get this far, and only one will win.

Sorry if the teams that aren't playing tonight were too shitty to be there.

If the Prime 9 aren't there, it sucks.
74  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: 2012 NHL Playoffs (Finals) on: June 05, 2012, 02:19:45 AM
I've seen enough.

Congrats to the Kings and all their fans.
75  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: 2012 NHL Playoffs (Finals) on: June 05, 2012, 02:06:40 AM
I hope he's hurt and not just this bad.

It's unfortunate for Marty since he's the only one showing up but what are you going to do? These are tight games and the Kings are making all the key plays.

Fayne and Clarkson miss goals in the first game's OT.

Kovy hits the crossbar with 15 seconds left in game 2.

Kings bang away for the first goal tonight and put them behind the 8 Ball.

These teams are close and the margins are razor thin but when you look at this series 5 years from now, all you'll see is a sweep for LA and that will be all that matters.

They are making the plays and good for them.
76  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: 2012 NHL Playoffs (Finals) on: June 05, 2012, 01:52:40 AM
Zach and Kovy just watching this series. Both been useless.

I'd hate to break up the 4th line but throw Gionta on the first line and Zach down to his spot.
