Point being? Do not taunt Happy Fun Ball. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Well, for some reason I had no idea what Tubgirl was, so I did a quick Google search (not an image search, just a Google normal one). After seeing some of the refrences made in the links that appeared, I just have to say this:

So long, farewell, and thanks for playing.

Quipp - just to let you know, PlanetSmilies doesn't like your external linking. It may look good on your end, but here all I see is an error message.

To get back on track - can't wait to see how long it takes before the first NWS (Not Work Safe) post shows up here. smile

ah, you must've caught the brief moment where I tried the yellow text on the bars (shudder)

I have toned down the bars a bit and changed the header text color. drool

Now, if you can only find a way to make links inside of text be a different color, it would be perfect... smile

Edit - oddly enough, the links in my sig are a different color, yet the 'click here to see your thread again' doesn't have that feature.

And my thanks to KD and the rest of the CG crew for being such gracious hosts. It's obvious that a great deal of time and effort have been spent on this site. It shows, and you all should be proud.

Thank you, and everyone one else, for all the kind comments you've passed our way in these last few days. Console Gold really is a work of love, and it helps to see so many people appreciate all of our work on it.

Overall, taking the brightness of any/all silver down a notch or two(maybe a kind of 'dirty' silver) would take care of the rest.

I was browsing the site and suddenly they just changed. How's that for speedy change times? smile

are you guys referring to the silver header bars or the subSilver theme?

I think they mean the silver header bars.

Also, Jeff Jones, we have a thumbs up and thumbs down smilie. Click on the 'View more Emoticons' button for the full list of them. I think the forum software only supports 20 up front, but no limit to those on the clickable link.  thumbsup  thumbsdown

Oh, and Mike, even though I've been a subSilver fan ever since we fired up the forum here at CG, I do have to say, I love subBlack. Excellent work!
15246  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / SOE and Lucas Arts might be getting a divorce on: October 11, 2004, 01:43:04 AM
I have heard absolutely nothing but horror stories about SoE's stupidity when it came to managing Star Wars Galaxies. Then again they've been going downhill for years now, starting on Everquest.

This is why I have no interest in EQ2, even though I played EQ1 for quite some time. The management is just dumb.

Wish I knew what happened in between.  Didn't think they would come back frown

From what I heard (as I wasn't watching the game, just sorta listening to it at work), the 49ers started their comeback on a 70+ yard kickoff return for a touchdown. After that, they scored another touchdown AND got a 2-point conversion with about a minute left on the clock (tying the game)

Then I started watching the game in earnest, as I hate the Cardinals (even though I live in AZ). smile

Cardinals try to come back, but after losing 9 yards after their QB gets clobbered (nobody in the defense even touched the guy), they punt. Then the 49ers take the knee.

Overtime!

The 49ers got the ball and pretty much just walked down the field. One field goal later from about the 30 yard line, and the game was over.

Nice blow, Cardinals. Losses like this show that you truly are the worst team in the NFL. It's too bad that the voters are so goddamned stupid that they voted to make you a nice new stadium for your shitty selves.

Mozilla Firefox is the browser you want. It's completely and totally free, and has built in pop-up and ad-blocking. With a few simple plugins, the ad-blocking is greatly enhanced (stopping even the worst of Flash ads if you install Flash/Shockwave), you can wander through the web with mouse gesturing (forward/back/whatever become mouse movements), and nothing will install behind your back, unlike IE, so visit all the pron sites you want in total safety.

And best of all, you can live happily, knowing that you're not using a browser that hasn't been updated since the stone age.

Well, I just beat Star Ocean 2 on the PS2 (outstanding game with one hell of a shocker plot twist near the end) and X-Men Legends (which I reviewed here), so what's next for me...

A bit of Evil Genius, a bit of City of Heroes (outstanding and just plain FUN MMO), some more of Fable (nearing the end and enjoying it)...

I'll be playing (and reviewing) Guilty Gear X2 as well as SNK vs Capcom (hopefully on both) in the near future as well.

And that doesn't include the games that I'd like to buy but don't have the time for...

Well, I know that STUN Runner runs very slow on MAME (with a fast computer), so maybe they were having problems getting the game to run at a decent speed on the PS2/Xbox.

And here I thought that MAME supported any standard 3d accelerator card nowadays for those kind of games. *shrugs*

Anyway, enough about emulation. I wonder why they just didn't port the Atari Lynx version instead? It had voice and everything, and moved at a pretty good clip considering the lack of raw power in the console.

Yep, they pulled Mortal Kombat (so they could have it on the Kollectors Editon of MK:D) and STUN Runner (emulation problems?) and replaced them with: Kozmik Kroozr', Timber and Wacko. :?

MK I can understand, but Stun Runner? Emulation problems in this day and age? You can't throw a stick without hitting an emulator of somesort nowadays.

I'm also well versed in video gaming, but I've never heard of any of those replacements. Time to get my brain up to date. smile

I do too. I've been using Firefox for a while and love it. Except for the cache. It seems to make its own variety of cache files so you can't go in and find, e.g., a Flash movie you want to save. Or maybe I just don't know what I'm doing.

I've never really dug through Firefox's cache, well, ever, so I wouldn't know about this. I also don't have Shockwave or Flash installed on this browser, so I couldn't view them if I tried.

That's why I keep IE around - just for that and nothing more.

is there a level cap?

if I can level up in the "training room" I'm a little concerned about maxing out my characters before finishing the game.

I don't think there is. I had to redo some missions in the Training Room a few times, and gained a ton of exp as a result, but while I needed an absolute ton of exp to gain the next level (in the millions, easily), I never hit any kind of cap.

I'll second the co-op mode fun!  I've had a blast with it by myself, but it really gets interesting with 2 or 3 other people playing alongside you.  The cries of 'watch where you're throwing that barrel!' and 'I was going to kill that!' are quite amusing.

That and some special combos like the Fastball Special (take a melee powerhouse like Rogue or Colossus and throw another character, especially Wolverine) are hard to pull off in single player.

Nobody really knows what Square has planned in its Final Fantasy line. They might make a ton of cash in sells of FF1 and FF2, so they'll decide to just port the Wonderswan version of FF3 (which is essentionally what FF1 and FF2 are, to my knowledge) to the GBA as well.

Yes, I know that this isn't the answer you're looking for, but...

Get Firefox...

Built in ad-blocking (which can be easily enhanced by a plugin), built in pop-up blocking, mouse based gesturing (plugin) that drastically increases the ease of the web... Oh, and none of the security flaws that IE has.

To answer your question though, yes, there is a way to delete Flash/Shockwave after you've installed it, but I don't know the command offhand to see/edit what's been installed in your browser. Now that I think on it though, I thought that Service Pack 2 for WinXP was going to do that as an option...
