Plus is more than worth it. If I was a very casual gamer, I would only have Plus and never purchase physical games. Eventually the good games come to Plus for free or near free anyways.

I was hoping for a big comeback by the Devils and then an overtime battle, but it just didn't pan out that way. Way to go to the Kings for nabbing their first Cup and dominating the entire playoffs. Props has to be given to the Devils too, I don't think any of the early predictions included the Devils/Kings Cup final. I know it really took me by surprise seeing all the "big" teams knocked out so early on.
Now what to fill my time with?

I've been a Plus member since day one and with all the free games, discounted games and extra stuff, like themes and avatars, I've filled my hard drive multiple times. I hardly find myself purchasing anything from the PS Store any more, because usually it finds it's way to Plus at a lower price point or for free. It's a fantastic service.
As for the console wars online vs. online, I was a 360 user for a few years until it broke on me and I decided to get rid of it and give the PS3 a try. I find I really don't have much gaming time these days, so I ended up sticking with the PS3. I did enjoy some things about the 360 better and I do enjoy some things about the PS3 better. They would have to combine the two consoles to come closer to fully satisfying me. Hopefully someday they can pull off a console to perfection, but for now the competition makes for some interesting things, like 12 free awesome games. Thanks Sony! Or should I say thanks Microsoft?

I'm not sure why but in my youth I never considered the Dreamcast. I was playing my Sega Genesis religiously then all my friends/family upgraded to the Playstation, I just followed suit and never looked back. 3 generations later and I'm still playing Sony's consoles. I did own a 360 at one point as well.

Love this!
Nobody who knows anything about hockey would go to ESPN for any reason. It's interesting that the numbers for NHL.COM staff predictions' are almost the reverse - 10:5. From my perspective this is the hardest cup to venture a prediction for in years. The only 1 I'll make is that the series will either end early (4-5) or go the full distance. I'm thinking it favors the Kings if it ends early and the Devils if it goes 7, but I wouldn't bet on either team. Hehe...not much of a prediction. I noticed this too. I was actually surprised with the numbers being in such high favour of the Devils, everyone I talk to is always picking the Kings. I think you're right in saying if the series ends early it will be the Kings, but if it goes the distance the Devils will take it. This has been proven throughout the 2012 Playoffs for both teams. I'm personally leaning towards the Devils, but you have to give the Kings some credit. The Kings have a capable team. I think it will come down to which team gets an early series lead and which goalie stays hot.

It looks like Ratchet & Clank : Deadlocked will be getting the HD treatment as a PSN download, at least in Japan. I loved that game!!! I really hope it comes to NA. Or I will use my Japanese account and download it. \ I really hope they include the online play in Deadlocked. Time to round up the old clan?

I myself haven't tried it, but a close friend of mine just picked this up. He said it's definitely not as great as a traditional RE game, but it isn't as terrible as the reviews made it out to be. I'll ask him to borrow it sometime and give it a try first hand.

I wonder who the Devils will be facing once they take out the Flyers tonight?
I would like to see the Caps take the series.
This would be my preference. Hope you're right! I much prefer the Devils over the Flyers. I have a friend who is a diehard Flyers fan and I'm about ready for them to exit so he can stop talking about them, haha.

I haven't played the game in a while now, but all this new DLC looks like a reason to jump back in! I hope they add bass support for the sequel. I've been playing guitar basically for my entire life, but recently started playing bass in a band. It would be nice to see it added to the game.

Hey everyone, I wouldn't normally cry a plea to win a contest but it would mean the world to my friends band. I know how hard they're working and I really support what they're doing. If you could please vote for their song here: http://apps.facebook.com/remixcontest/contests/159587/voteable_entries/36290371?order=recencyThat would be greatly appreciated. The song they entered is extremely heavy... Like devil music heavy. That is actually their only song like that so please don't be entirely judgmental The winner of the contest has their song remixed by a fairly well known Drum and Bass artist, Big Chocolate. And no, I don't get anything out of this.

I'm late to this thread because I've been too busy playing Rocksmith. I've been playing guitar for about 10 years now, I taught for 2 years and I can't say enough about this game. It really is a fantastic combination of the things I love, guitar an video games. I would highly recommend this game for beginner guitarist and advanced guitarist. I can't remember the last time I was so excited to play guitar. The more people that purchase this game and more it takes off the better the sequel will be and the people win in that situation. I can't wait for the DLC, where they hopefully will release an excellent selection of songs.
The learning curve for this game is fantastic and it really does a great job of teaching new players about the instrument and helping educate them on how to tune their guitar and learning chord names and patterns. It would be nice if there was an option to turn on notation on the fret board, rather than just the tab style it displays, but this is the most effective method for beginners.
I really enjoy the 'techniques' that you build upon and how eventually they get you to tune to drop-D. I would love to see DLC with different tunings as well.
Another portion of this game I enjoy is the amp mode. It is an effects processor built directly into your TV, which is great if you have a good audio setup. I find myself practicing on my TV now, rather than using my actual amp and effects setups (most likely because Rocksmith is new and fun.) It is a pretty decent set up and the customization can be very in depth and overwhelming for a beginner and a gold mine for an advanced player. I've spent hours just playing with the effects and amp setups.
I could ramble on about this game for a lengthy period of time, but instead I will conclude with: if you are thinking of learning guitar or brushing up on your skills or you're an amazing player that wants to have some fun and learn a whack lot of excellent songs, PICK THIS TITLE UP!

I can vouch for this one. Excellent remake. I loved the original, now I love this remake.
It plays exactly how you would want it to in this modern age. I just bought it yesterday and I've played around 10 games already. I played couch co-op with one friend on my team and another friend on the CPU's team. We had to pause a few times for laugh breaks and by the end we were yelling with excitement.
Highly recommend this one.

I've played every mode of the demo and I've played the play now mode for a few hours. It feels different from NHL 11, and I really enjoy NHL 11. I've probably put over 300 hours into 11. So the jump every year to the new game is always a challenge. From 10 to 11 I wasn't sure at first, but obviously the switch went fine.
But I feel even more so that way this year. 12 feels a lot different. But the more I play it, the more I'll get used to it. I feel the battles in front of the net are too much. They are good, but it feels like you can't control 2 of the players on your team because they are tied up. Also, the goalie interference is going to be a pain. I literally skated through the crease without touching the goalie and got a penalty for it. I hope these are things they will fix up for the release.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to make a quick post about something exciting I've been working really hard on and have had the opportunity to be involved in. A lot of you probably don't know me as well as others on the forum may, but I'm a Graphic/Web Designer. I feel fairly accomplished, accomplished enough to post about a website I've recently completed. I wouldn't normally post about a piece of work I've done, but I find this one very unique and special from other websites I've worked on. It is a band website. These two young gentlemen have such a great sound and it would be wrong of me to not share it with everyone here. Check them out at: www.embracingabomination.comI would appreciate any feedback on the site and I'm sure the artists would appreciate some support as well. I also set up all of their social networking pages, which you can find linked on the website. I feel I've been getting better over the years at design. I'm usually very reserved and shy about it, but the nature of this project really makes me want to share.

I picked this up yesterday (I didn't have a pre-order.) I've put in about 5 hours and....
I was expecting to play Duke Nukem, and it is definitely Duke Nukem and damn... It feels good.
I really don't think the graphics are bad at all (I haven't played a FPS since MWF2.) They aren't amazing, but I really don't care about the graphics that much as long as the game play is there and it is there.
I'm the kind of gamer who like to take my time in games, I like to enjoy the environments when I have the chance aka when I'm not in the heat of battle. I smash all the crates and toss cigarette packages at the wall just to watch the physics. I play a game of pool, even when the aliens are attacking the city outside the window, in plain sight. I draw on the whiteboard for half and hour, just because it's fun.
Dislikes - His 'night vision' is a little annoying after awhile.
Likes - It's really fun and entertaining - It's classic shooting
I don't have a problem with the load times, I read the tips, make text messages. It's not a huge deal for me. I've waited 12 years to play the game, what's 45 seconds in between levels?
Will post more updates later. Also, driving the monster truck is really fun!

It's Duke Nukem. I'm picking it up tomorrow regardless of the reviews. I grew up playing and loving the game and now I finally get that chance to play a new Duke Nukem game. I'm ecstatic. Sure it doesn't have the graphics of Crysis 2 and it doesn't play as well as a COD game, I don't care. From all the game play videos I've seen it looks just like the Duke Nukem I grew up playing and loving and there is nothing wrong with that to me. I'm not going to let the reviews sway my opinion until I try it for myself.

I purchased it and I've already downloaded enough things to "get my money back" which is a nifty feature. Also, something I enjoy about it is a few of my friends who I've given my PSN login too can download everything from my Plus account as well.
I'd suggest it if you enjoy the arcade style games and PS1 classics. There usually is 3 or 4 for free every week, plus additional DLC content for free as well.
