I used the wadding that came with my rocket kits and I still had chutes go up in flames sometimes.

Sometimes you will get blow-by depending on the rocket design and length of the tube.

It may have also been that I was 8 years old or so when I started.

I hate that I can wear my bandit mask in the middle of the desert, kill all 4 people, and still get a wanted.

The bandana isn't supposed to stop you from getting a wanted level.  It's to stop you from losing honor.

As far as getting a wanted level when you kill all 4 people in the desert, that doesn't sound right.  There must have been someone else around you that you didn't see, because if you take out all witnesses, you shouldn't get a wanted level.  A crime needs to be witnessed / reported before it gets applied to you.

Wearing the Bandana also prevents you from earning Honor/Fame as well. So you have to be mindful on using it.
Someone already mentioned this, but if you kill a lawman/federale you automagically get a bounty/wanted regardless of witnesses. (Maybe they had awesome forensics  icon_lol)

How do you knock someone out? I can knock them down 20 times but they just keep getting up. If i stop hitting them they pull out a gun and shoot me or I have to kill them.

you have to keep hitting them and hitting them, not letting off until they fall down....if they don't get back up again, and are lifeless on the ground, that's a knockout, eventually after about a minute they get back up again,.but i am long gone by then and was on to my next saloon

do make sure your fists are equipped,i went into Thieves landing, forgetting i had stopped to stop prisoners from escaping halfway between Blackwater and Thieves landing, and went to put my dukes up and ended up pulling out my Winchester Rifle and blowing the mudda fudda away

sooorrrryyy icon_confused

I completed this in all 7 saloons and you just have to knock them down (it is a knockout). You will see them go lifeless for a few seconds and then they will get right back up (after just a few seconds).
The same thing occurred each saloon I went to, and I got the achievement. I believe there is a stat for knockdowns/knockouts somewhere in the stats as well.

I've finished all the story missions and all the ambient challenges, and I think I've done all the stranger requests too. Thought this would be enough for 100% game completion, but there's still a lot to do apparently. I guess I'll never reach that milestone.

Be warned: For some bizarre reason the game actually hides the final mission from you. I thought the game was over, but there was one more mission to go that I wouldn't have seen if I hadn't looked it up online. I have no idea why they did this.

The Ambient challenges include completing some specific random world encounters as well.

I wouldn't recommend doing bounty missions til you have your lasso. You get more money for bringing them back alive.

I think its more fun to hogtie them and fight off the bandits as you ride them back into town.  icon_cool

You do have to take care as I have had bounty shot while I was carrying him back.

This happened to me as well. I was in the process of shooting one bandit behind me and I witnessed the other aim and shoot directly into the Bounty on the back of my horse.

yup.  all of the games, stranger missions, bounties, side jobs and challenges are just there and waiting if you want them.  you could go from one story mission to the next and not touch any of that stuff.  you would get a pretty tight storyline and all the action you could want.  whether you would want to play through that way is up to you though.  i spent 20 hours in act 1 alone and still had various things to do before i left.

in regards to the bounty on that pre-order outfit, as long as you go through the bounties before you leave act 1, you should be ok.  the guy was bounty #7 out of 8 for me, so it's not out of the question to get him if you waited to add the code like i did.  he was also the third guy after i entered the code in, so just keep doing them when you see them.

you also don't have to worry about car-jacking innocents here either.  one of the best improvements to the game is the horse.  i lost both of the saddlers to cougars and ended up with a painted one.  even though i have broken a faster white one down south, i've stayed with the painted one.

I have not been able to get the guy for the assassin outfit quest..    I did about 3 bounties before I entered the code, and maybe 3 or 4 since..   Is there anywhere that I can see if I killed the guy I need yet ? (to see if I am bugged out) I am wanting to enter act 2 now.  But I also want my damn outfit..  slywink

From what I understand different Wanted Poster locations will spawn members of different gangs initially. I think he was on the Wanted Poster in Armadillo versus Macfarlane's Ranch

I was having trouble finding boars until last night.  I went up north of the ranch and just ran on my horse from the waterfall back along the train tracks to where they enter the tunnel.  Just went back and forth there for about an hour and then it suddenly spawned in a group of boars so big I literally couldn't shoot them all.  More kept showing up as I was skinning the others.  Not sure how that happened, but I ended up with seven tusks.

Now I have to find cougars.  Any of the bait shops sell appletinis? unibrow

That's just about where I found them spawning. I went due NW from the Boar picture on the map up to a cliffside (snow starts to show here)
I got all 5 in the span of a minute or two (shotty FTW) It was roughly 12:30 in the afternoon if that helps.

Cougars spawn in that same area as well as NE of the Rattlesnake sentlement in the very NW

Once I lasso and ride a wild horse out on the plains, exactly what do I do with him? Is there some place I can take him for cash?

He is now your horse.  You can only have one horse 'saved' as your mount by finding a spot in a town and hitching him.

Otherwise, the only other reason to capture and break a wild horse is to get a different looking horse, or capturing each of the three 'special' horses in each region (New Austin, Nuevo Paraiso, West Elizabeth).

There are also horsebreaking missions you can do as well.

Once you break a horse you can buy the deed from the General store. The only ones worth buying are the Kentucky Saddler (golden/white horse you get in New Austin) Hungarian Half-Bred (Pale White horse in Mexico) and the American Standardbred (Black horse in the North)
Those are the only 3-star horses in the game.

As stated above if you break a horse and then hitch the horse it will become your new horse as well. Just breaking the horse should not make it your new horse.

Im sick of that as well. I figured out if you whistle the horse just dumps the dude and they run away.

i'm finding all that stuff ('someone stole my horse!', 'someone robbed my store!', 'they're hanging my buddy!', etc) to be overdone (nearing the end of mexico at this point). which's unfortunate, because, in moderation (something i'm thinking rockstar could learn a thing or 2 about smile ), it would've worked really well. as is, having done all of'm at least a half-dozen times, i just keep riding now - there's already more than enough repetitive stuff going on without that...

The frequency of these encounters are based on how high your Fame and Honor are. As those stats increase so do the frequency of the encounters.
As with the friend management of GTA IV they seemed to have gone overboard with these encounters.

Yeah, the only thing I haven't figured out yet is why you get varying amounts of segments.

In my first duel I had only five or six segments. The last duel I had close to twelve.
Not sure if this correlates to the amount of Dead-Eye you have at the time or if the Master Assassin Outfit is doubling it.

Duels:

Once it starts use the stick to highlight the target areas and hit the "RB" button to "mark" off where you want each shot to hit.
You can just continue to mark areas and it will auto shoot once your Dead-Eye runs out or you can mark a few spots and then pull the trigger.

The meter segments indicate how many Dead-Eye marks you can make.

I don't think the game keeps track of this.  You can take the plants you find and sell them at the shop, but I don't think the game generates medicine from it.

Once you complete level 10 Survivalist you can make Dead-Eye potions (Chew) from the plants
At level 10 Master Hunter you can make Health potions (Medicine) from animal parts.

Basically, you get varying rewards for reaching level 5 and level 10 on each of the challenge types.

The only negative about the game is the horse controls.  Trying to maintain control at a gallop and switching weapons is a fucking pain.  Just allow me to set the speed and be done with it

You can set a rhythm by just pressing "A" every few seconds. (Once you get up to speed) This will allow you to travel at a steady fast speed and maintain constant speed.
You can use the space in between to switch weapons. Even if you miss one "A" it won't make that much of a difference.

Mythic did have periods in the Beta where you started with high level chars to start off with. (Closed Beta)
I remember one week where we started off at level 32 if memory serves me correctly.
The problem was they didn't have all the chars in the game yet.

One of the issues I had as a healer was that I would not get points for healing people outside my own group in the warband, but often I would be one of two dedicated healers.
I actually liked the game 1-30, but then leveling went to a crawl.
We had a lot of great PvP and hunting nights with The Wanderers the first couple of months.

Definitely agree that it was wasted potential. Came down to poor decision making by Mythic.

Temporary paralysis is a typical response by the body when the mind encounters extreme fear.
In essence the body is preventing you from over loading the circuits so to speak.

This is why it is reported by people who claim to be abducted. Even if it was in their minds, if it felt real enough it would cause extreme fear.

The mind and body have many safeguards for self preservation and temporary paralysis is one of them.

To me the risk is moving from a company with a net income somewhere around 1.2 Billion to a company with sales of 22 million.  I am concerned that the company I am going to would still be considered a tech start up.  Especially because the company is still a privately owned company.

Although higher overall sales is generally better it doesn't mean a company is smart with its money.
A company that has 1.2 Billion in sales may have 1.1 Billion in costs where the 22 Million in sales company may only have 2 Million in costs. (not a perfect example, but you get what I mean)

What you want to compare are annual reports, Dunn and Bradstreet rating / credit rating, etc

That aside it seems like an awesome opportunity from the way you are describing it.
Many opportunities come with risk, sometimes you just have to say "What the f*%k" and make your move"  slywink
