A quick test would easily destroy this myth, but none would read it since it wouldnt be sensationalism. Grab a set of people who have never fired a gun before. Then split them into 2 groups, 1 that plays GTA and one that doesnt for a month. Then have them go shoot some guns and see how "extraordinarily effective" the GTA playing ones are now at shooting. Though I have heard rumers that Colt is redesigning their guns to look like a PS2 controller

Wonder if its possible to copy the files from the SD to a PC for storage. Then just recopy the games you want to play. That way you dont need lots of different SD cards.
I know it would work in theory but not sure if any DRM it might use would make it not work, though since its back into the same Wii maybe it wouldnt be any issue.
Hmmm....

My 32" SD says gameplay. I have no urge to upgrade it for a while. Currently its not worth it to me just for prettier pictures. I've got enough old gen stuff to keep me busy. If I had a HD I would probably want a rig to show it off with, though if I had a HD it probably means I could afford both a 360 and a Wii or just a PS3 I'm interested in the Wii but waiting to see how it plays. With its small size it would fit happily by my xbox or some other nook of my entertainment center. I never had a gamecube and waiting on Wii feedback to determine if I get a Wii or a cube. Or maybe I'll skip this gen of the consoles and get a PSP to keep my DS company.

"What's going to be stored on this ID card? At a minimum: name, birth date, sex, ID number, a digital photograph, address" Seems like this would help people that do identify theft. Just go to a crowded area with a RFID reader and grab the data off the cards. But it would be nice in bars as you could always get her name & number EDIT: Hopefully my in-laws won't hear about this or I'll have to hear about how its the sign of the end times/mark of the beast when I'm over there.

Mechassault sounds interesting. Cant wait to here forum peoples comments or other reviewers.
The IGN one bothers me when he states the DS isnt as powerful as an XBOX. Im shocked by this revelation!
"The developers may have tried to give Nintendo DS owners the true Xbox experience on the lesser handheld hardware, but let's be realistic: the Nintendo DS is nowhere near an Xbox in power. So, don't be surprised at the "dumbed down" visuals like lower-resolution textures, barebones polygonal structures and somewhat simplistic mountainous terrain. "
As long as it looks like most DS games I'm fine with the graphics.

EB Games/gamestop site is showing you can trade a DS Lite and get a new color one for $70. It also has you can trade in a GBA SP and get a DS Lite for $99. No mention of the regular DS.
I like the onyx DS Lites. Maybe I'll go check and see what I could get for my regular DS and GBA SP since I'm heading to a mall today. Or I might go see if Gamexchange (local used game/video store) orders systems since they normally give a better instore/cash value to trade ins.

Its bunk. From any set of people there will be those who use drugs. LANning is not making them do the drugs. This is a group that likes to do drugs and also LAN, which is what the stony guy even stated. There are lots of LANs where this is not common just the writer is not going to them. For this article, LAN could also be easily replaced with any other activity that humans participate in. Furries are the real threat to our existence. Furrie drug fantasy football nascar strip poker parties....oh the humanity..

Only thing I can think of is to check under Device Manager to see what mode your Hard Drive is running. Maybe it got switched to PIO. Might also make sure the HD cable is all the way in the mobo and HD
I've had a loose one make a slow load but I think it always failed to load..it was still slow though. I knocked it loose while messing with something else in my case. It was hard to visually that it wasnt fully in the slot.

Non-Gaming / Hardware / Software Hell / Should I upgrade my video card?
|
on: August 08, 2006, 07:44:21 PM

I'm not laughing I'm still running an ATI 9700 Pro! I recently ebayed on of those for $40. Lots better than my ol' GFti4200 64MB. Let me play Oblivion at 1024*800 w Med settings which is all I need for now. Hopefully it will play Armed Assault as thats the only other game I want other than what I already have. A better card would have probably required a new power supply and I didn't want to pay a lot and still be stuck with AGP. Decided to spend as little as possible now and do a real upgrade later.

Thankfully the government is looking into these "games" so I dont have to spend 1 second looking at a box cover or reading/looking at the game's box to see if I would find it acceptable for my kid.
Why look at GTA..them evil game designers hide some content that makes it inappropriate for youngsters since the rest of the game was so wholesome.
Actually, instead of showing clips of ingame footage why not show the box the games come in and wonder why parents still buy it? Oh, I know..you dont want to lose voters..

I still need to finish the main game. Though, I have no ambition to for some odd reason... Me too. Think I'm in Chap12 or so but dont remember. While I like the game I just feel too confined (Some levels are more open but as a whole I feel confined). I hate that in a building with lots of doors there is only 1 that will open. I would like it so much more if the door would open even if it was a room that led nowhere. I've been playing too many more open ended FPS and dont want to go back to 1 path forward only games. While its still fun, its just not as much fun as the other games I'm playing.

I like the Tony Hawk game. Its reminds me of a mix of THPS2 & 4 on a DS w/ cellshading. It controls well too. I haven't played a lot of it yet due to mainly PC gaming but I do like the game though it may be too easy if your real good at the TH games (I'm not ) The new Super Mario Bros game is also coming out next month (May 21?)I believe.

My wife got one of the all in one epsons and while its good, the little built in screen failed right after its warrenty was over. It can still be used for printing and scanning, etc. but some features were only accessable through the printers menu and not the desktop software (I never really used them but its sucks to lose them). For the next one I am either making sure it has no little screen or all functions can still be done in software.

I was hoping it was some April fools joke. Name just seems lame for a RS game. I could see a SWAT: Vegas but not RS. Maybe the team is on a gambling vacation and its interupted by some baddies so they go into action :?

I am your plumber No I never went away I still bug your bedrooms And pick up everything you say It can be a boring job To moniter all day your excess talk
I hear when you're drinking And cheating on your lonely wife I play tape recordings Of you to my friends at night
We've got our girl in bed with you You're on candid camera We just un-elected you
I am the owl I seek out the foul Wipe 'em away Keep America free For clean livin' folks like me
If you demonstrate Against somebody we like I'll slip on my wig And see if I can start a riot Transform you to an angry mob All your leaders go to jail for my job
But we ain't the Russians Political trials are taboo We've got our secret Ways of getting rid of you Fill you full of LSD Turn you loose on a freeway
Send you spinning Send you spinning Send you spinning all over the freeway Spinning on the crowded freeway Spinning on the freeway Spinning on the freeway Spin Spin Spin-Lookout
The press, they never even cared Why a youth leader walked into a speeding car In ten years we'll leak the truth By then it's only so much papaer
Watergate hurt But nothing really ever changed A teeny bit quiter But we still play our little games
We still play our little games We still play our little games We still play our little games We still play a lot of games
I am the owl
