I'm the same as Teggy. On my back I sometimes wake myself up I snore so bad. On my side nothing. Thankfully, I always slept on my side anyway, so on the rare occations where I end up on my back, the wife just kicks me and tells me to roll over.

Thanks to a heavy snow storm this weekend, I got some serious gaming time in and finished Assasin's Creed, as well as starting and completing Crackdown. Crackdown was pretty fun, but pretty short too. I found once I got my athletic ability up to a decent level, you can easily skip to the end of all the generals. Level 3 athletics + level 2 explosives +rocket launcher = butt kicking

Well, think of it this way. You say that having a hangover once a week is negatively impacting your life. So just stop drinking so much that day. Catch a good buzz on and stop there, or pace yourself differently. If you honestly don't have enough control over your behavior to be able to do that, then you probably need to get help. Unless the negative impacts of the hangover really aren't that big a deal. If they aren't then who cares?

During the election, my wife was walking outside to get the mail and someone actually slowed the car, rolled down the window and yelled the N word out at her. This is something that had never happened to her before, and we are both old enough to have lived through times where odd/angry looks were fairly common (we are an interracial couple who have known eachother for a good 15 years or so). These days, we get more comments on how nice we look together rather than anger.
She didn't really seem to mind it (she's not much the type to let some idiot get under her skin), as she chalks it up to people being ignorant, but she had something very interesting to say about why it happened. She said that with the election going on, people's deep seeded fears and prejudices were more likely to bubble to the surface. Whether we see it or not, racism is still out there quite a bit; people just hide it better as it's not socially acceptable anymore. When people start to freak out that we might get a black president, they will lose their minds so to speak and say things they normally wouldn't. I was talking politics with my brother at the time (a staunch republican) and he even crossed the line with me and I nearly hung up on him.
Now that the election is over, it's a question of whether people will bury those feelings again or not. I think they will, as I honestly think as a whole this country is getting much better with each passing generation and nothing is going to stop that. Some might fight it and there is still a ways to go, but it's a losing battle. This is certainly an interesting time in our lives.

Well, thanks to becoming newly married, bought a house, and bough two new/used cars within the last few months, I find myself on a much tighter budget than I am used to. One effect has been on my gaming habit. I've always been very ADD when it comes to games, hopping to whatever happens to interest me that week/day. It also promotes a HUGE backlog. Thanks to not having as much money to throw around towards games lately, I have actually gone back and started finishing some stuff in my collection. When I finish a few titles, I sell them to GameStop and pick up 2 or 3 used titles. I have to say, I'm getting much more enjoyment out of games than i have felt in a very long time. I'm enjoying the stories and doing more in each title, trying to really get my money's worth.
What I've finished lately: 1) Tomb Raider: Legend 2) Tomb Raider: Anniversary 3) Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 4) Fallout 3 (main storyline, going to go back and do more side-quests sometime)
Currently Playing: Assassin's Creed
Next Up: Crackdown or Rainbow Six: Vegas 2
So, in the spirit of my new found dicipline, what have you all finished up lately and what are your own gaming ADD stories?

Hey guys my Bluray disc has a digital copy and there's a single code inside...does this mean I can only download it to my computer once and then the disc is no good? I let my buddy download the digital copy. He put it on his laptop, then told me the next day he had no problem copying it to his desktop and IPod. Not sure if you can actually download again, but copying looks to work.

The homebrew community (the non-pirating kind) has released quite a few seemingly good games. I know there's a port of Quake 1 on it, and I hear really good things about how Wiimote control (yes, you point at the screen like in Metroid Prime 3) makes the game kick all kinds of ass (even with how old it is).
Homebrew is not just pirating games. It's where people with a lot of time on their hands can make games for consoles. Wait... releasing a version of licensed software for free on another console is not pirating? I mean, I'm no saint and would probably do it in a heartbeat, but let's not fool ourselves about what this is.

So has anyone picked this up yet? I'm a huge Tomb Raider fan from way back and since Legend came out have actually been excited about new releases in the series. From the demo, Underworld is looking like it has potential and I have some store credit burning a hole in my pocket so I might pitck this up tonight. Anyone else have this that can offer some impressions? I havn't found any reviews yet and would feel better about my purchase knowing ahead of time that it doesn't suck.

Since most modern games are just strings of "scenarios", adding a luck element to strategy can keep it fresh on replays. Pure luck is no good as nothing you do will matter or give you any sense of accomplishment, but pure strategy has the side effect of being boring once you figure out the right way to do something.

Well, I was wavering on my second title so I just ended up getting Fallout 3. I will grab something else later used most likely. From the sounds of it FO3 will keep me plenty busy for awhile anyway

So I'm heading out today to pick up some new 360 titles. I think I have my choices down, but I'm interested in what you all would do and why. Your mission if you choose to accept it; pick two titles from the following list and explain why. Feel free to add other titles as well, but keep it to newer releases. I already have most of the catelog titles that I am interested in.
Fallout 3 Dead Space Far Cry 2 Fable 2 Gears of War 2 (not out yet I know, but close enough to be considered)
My choices right now are leaning towards Fallout 3 and Dead Space.

Yeah, me and the wife saw it this weekend and both LOVED it to death. As you said, perfectly cast, the dialog is spot on. I would classify this as more Fargo less Old Country for Old Men. Funny, meandering, and dark if you stop and think about what is actually going on.
I guess it's getting some negative reviews, but if you are a fan of Coen movies, I can't honestly see how you wouldn't enjoy the hell out of this one.

Starship Troopers - I can never get enough of this movie. Goofy fun, nice effects, naked chick, interesting satire on the whole "rah-rah war" concept. It might help that I never read the book, but honestly I've never had a problem separating mediums and don't bother comparing adaptations/remakes to eachother. I just look at them as separate entities.
Dragon Wars - Caught this one on a whim and me and the wife actually enjoyed it. Not Oscar worthy or anything, but not the complete shit that most people think it is. We may be the only people on the planet who liked it though.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - Rather than get into another 10 page argument on whether it sucked or not, I'll just say we had a lot of fun with this one.
Silent Hill - Lots of people think this is crap, but it's actually one of my favorite modern horror movies.
