I'm not so sure it's a bad decision.  PC gaming isn't helping itself any, between the new operating systems, driver nightmares, and constant hardware upgrades that seem to be needed.

too bad there's not a way to have one driver master controller and drivers for each individual game that would be detected and loaded when the game is run.

Sounds like DOS.  Ugh, let's not revisit that.

it'd be better than having a new driver come out and fix one problem in a PC game while causing a whole new problem in another game.  I remember one of ATI's drivers increased performance in KotOR but broke the shadows in Thief: Deadly Shadows.

I am a little upset that Steam is not "unlocking" the game until 1 PM PST tomorrow.  Why can't they just allow use at 12:01 AM?

Because then you'd get an advantage over the game stores that have to open up and stuff?

Yeah, it's a really crappy reason, but something tells me it's not far off from the truth.

either that or they want to make sure everyone is in place in case of any problems.

damn, those screenshots sure are a mixed bag.  I'm not sure if the Darth Vader PSP will be worth the extra bucks now...

wow.. I thought I'd be hurting from all the releases, but it appears other than Bioshock and Two Worlds all of my 'must haves' aren't due until the end of October.  Sure, there's the 'buy if bored' games like Stranglehold and Halo 3, and the quirky 'wait til next year' games like Eternal Sonata, and finally the 'wait for used/price drop' games like Dead Rising, the Darkness and Bullet Witch, but my Must Have list is barren for a bit.  How the hell did that happen?

Oh, another little peeve - respawns when you return to a room.  Creatures I can live with, because creatures reproduce and move around.  But if I take out a bunch of auto-turrets in a room, leave the room and come back, those auto-turrets should still be gone.  If there are some magical repair robots floating around, then I should see them if I hang out in the room long enough.

ugh, I haven't seen that yet but yeah, that could get annoying.
